Jupe2Veered off courseI thought the first episode was promising. I read a positive review in SF Chronicle and thought the show sounded compelling. I was hoping for more geology. By season two they’ve gone to regions where she isn’t as familiar with the geology, then the wine snobs take over. I’m sure I could get more out of it if I listened again but I doubt I’ll have the patience to suffer through it a second time.

Chiantigiani 67A real view of BurgundyWhat a fresh view on the makings of a wine. I appreciate your interest and your true geek dive into into wine using your geologic expertise. It’s all about the farmers and their land. Danny

gel_Table10An audio documentary! If you are thinking of listening, you can jump right in. But I might suggest listening to Levi Dalton interview her on his podcast. Episode #463 of I’ll Drink To That! You will love these two seasons even more. As I said, more documentary than a Q&A podcast. Definitely a deep dive for those so inclined. And nicely produced. Thanks. GL

JennipodcasterSome pros and consI came across this podcast and I love wine so I had to try! Learned a few new things which is always nice. I also love the guests- very impressive. The biggest detractor for me is the host’s voice- Not her fault or anything, just find it a little annoying! Otherwise pretty okay, if a bit slow.

Swing dancing geologistPerfectThe combination of terroir and geology is seamless, and what better place than Santa Barbara and California where the wine is excellent and the geology is even more complex and beautiful. The host is well suited to produce this homage to the classic Roadside Geology book series due to her geologic expertise and valuable access to major players in the Santa Barbara wine industry. A book/book series would be a dream, I hope she goes for it.

SBCIcemanSomething for everyoneWhether your a total wine (or geology) dork or just just a casual wine drinker this podcast has something for everyone. Really fun imagining the trip but would probably be more fun to listen along to on the drive through the area. I always knew Santa Barbara was a special place and the information in this podcast only reaffirmed that.
