I found SOP through Instagram after I went through a breakup last year! Since following Ilana, I have loved every episode she has put out! After a long day at work, every Tuesday and Thursday I know that when I get home, there will be a new podcast episode for me to listen to! Though I am not currently dating or using apps, every episode is full of good advice that I will use when I put myself back out there! Thanks ilana, for having amazing guest, vulnerable conversations and an amazing personality that makes listening that much more fun! ❤️💓

I love this podcast! Ilana brings in a variety of professionals, friends and real single people to talk about the modern dating landscape. She brings on so many great guests with interesting stories and perspectives. As a guy with most friends in serious relationships, it offers some commiseration when you hear the real life daters on the Thursday episodes. I also love when ilana does the dating app tips too. Ilana is so genuine and authentic in wanting to help people. Highly, highly recommend it!

Ilana seems like a great person, but she spent years saying your relationship status should be the least interesting thing about you. Though now constantly posts and talks about her husband. Is your relationship status supposed to be interesting or not? It feels like she just gave that advice to her single listeners to try to make them not feel so bad, though she doesnt follow it herself.

I used to love this podcast but had to stop listening when the host came out as a Zionist. I can’t take love advice from someone who’s supporting a genocide in Gaza.

I’ve been following and religiously listening to this podcast since she was “Ilana at Hinge”. When I was single, this podcast made me feel seen and Ilana kept me motivated to find my person. I finally met my person about 3 years ago and I still love listening to this podcast to continue learning about myself and my relationship. Ilana is so passionate and I feel like we’d be bestfriends in real life - which is more than you can ask for in a podcast host.

This has been the best and most casual dating podcast for literally anyone. I know most of her audience is female but after getting out of a LT relationship this last year. Every podcast has been so helpful to relate with in every stage of life that I've been in to help empower my confidence in dating . Love love love !

I’m 60-year-old single man four years out of a 25 year marriage. I enjoy listening to the different episodes as they give me perspective into how others think and act. My only piece of feedback would be that would be nice to get something that is non-New York centeic. Both the podcast host and many guests live in New York and that is not representative of 95% of the US. I happen to live in Tampa Bay, and most recently in both Richmond and Virginia Beach. The situation in those cities are significantly different than New York City.

The first episode I listened to was the one with Liv Schreiber and she mentioned making a list of everything she wants in her dream guy and then she saw a tenant from her building in the elevator and he checked all of her boxes before she even spoke to him. So the checklist must have been purely physical? This immediately made the host and guest lose credibility with me regarding relationship coaching. It sounds like she just got lucky and ended up meeting her husband in an elevator but it didn’t happen from some deep-rooted reflection, change in mindset, or actual strategies. The host went on to gush about how great her relationship is but it didn’t seem to lend itself to the listener.

This podcast is great for anyone dating right now. Ilana has so many helpful insights and the guests she brings on are fantastic!

Seeing Other People has really evolved into such a great dating podcast! Each episode provides insight to make you a stronger single individual and a more empathetic dater. Listening to this podcast helped me go from a very anxious dater just hoping to please my date to a confident dater who doesn’t let getting ghosted ruin her day. This unique podcast blends a mix of dating experts with real life daters and I highly recommend giving it a listen.

I don’t typically listen to dating podcasts but the content Ilana puts out into the world makes other people feel less alone in their dating lives. Her career is centered around helping others and I admire the way she is able to do that while constantly putting herself out there on the internet which is NOT easy!!!!

Ilana rocks. She facilitated elegant conversations which get me thinking and striving to be the best partner I can. Big fan.

I’ve found this podcast really relatable! She has so many different guests covering all sorts of topics - and I like that I can pick the ones that I can connect to in my current stage of life! It’s not easy putting yourself out there and Ilana does so with confidence and makes her guests feel at ease.

I love SOP AND LIP! Ilana makes you feel at ease and that you’re not alone. Her guests are carefully curated and always on brand while not being predictable. The conversations lead me to think in other ways and feel less alone in a big city and world.

Late 20’s male listener - started listening while healing after a brutal breakup. Ilana provides great perspective and expertise on the ups/downs of datings and brings on guests who are very relatable/or professionals who provide a perspective and knowledge that one would typically get paying $$$ for a therapist. Specifically when guests talk about their relationships/breakups (or advice they’ve given to clients on such matters), I’ll find myself being able to relate to some of the exact same situations and garner from their experiences/insights. Makes you feel like you’re not alone and there’s a light at the end of the tunnel.

Ilanna is the most kind, understanding, and realistic dating podcast host. I love the questions she asks and the advice she gives. This podcast has helped me to feel like I’m not alone through difficult times. I recommend it even if you’re in a relationship.

Dating in 2024 is rough and it’s so easy to feel like you are the only one dealing with these issues. Seeing Other People truly made me feel like I had a community and validated all of the dating ups and downs we all feel!!

I stop listening to any other podcast when I see there’s a new Seeing Other People episode. I really appreciate the advice and her ease of conversation. It’s helped me feel less alone while dating that other podcasts don’t seem to provide. Sometimes the unfiltered episodes can be either amazing or uncomfortable (trigger warning - i.e. the Dec 2023 girl getting mad when the guy accuses her of s.a. - does she really think she was in the right in that situation? Horrible episode, but Ilana does put a trigger warning on it to her listeners). The unfiltered episodes are overwhelmingly amazing though.

Ilana got me through some tough times and offered incredible wisdom, support and authenticity. I love this show and have recommended it to so many people!!!

I love this pod! It’s so relatable for anyone who is single and ready to date or coming off of a breakup. Ilana is in her 20’s and went thru these phases and also brings on amazing qualified guests who bring insight to relationship dynamics or learning how to move through a new relationship or just being single and embracing it. I feel seen in so many episodes and it’s one of my fav pods!

I love this podcast and it is the only podcast I listen to on a regular basis. It is so relatable and I am happy to have it. Dating in NYC can feel so lonely, so it helps me feel a little less lonely. I love hearing people’s stories on the unfiltered episodes. It even inspired me to reach out to Ilana as well! Looking forward to future episodes! Highly recommend

Unfiltered is my favorite episode kind, I love learning from actual life stories. So many of the guests were incredible!! I do however agree with what someone else wrote that some advice is a tiny bit generic and not a fan of the pov- I made this mistake, but because I am telling you, you shouldn’t now. I feel that’s not how humans work hah. Would love to hear the specific things you did to overcome certain thoughts or challenges vs. a simple - well you shouldn’t do that it’s a mistake. I noticed that with Life in Progress too and it’s not great. Everything else is why I keep on listening!!

I was a guest on Seeing Other People and had the easiest, most interesting conversation with Ilana about the biggest mistakes women make in dating. She’s so thoughtful, compassionate and intuitive that it makes me happy she’s giving so much information away for free to her audience of young women. Coming out of a relationship I searched for podcasts to help me make sense of what I had experienced and reintroduce me to the world of dating. Seeing Other People did just that. Ilana is a superstar. Her podcast does an excellent job of bringing in different perspectives and experiences, and covers an incredible range of topics concerning or tangential to dating. I don’t listen to podcasts, but when I found out she has a podcast, I started listening to it and I continue to do so religiously! I can attest that this podcast is for everyone, including the guys, to at the least find reassurance that dating can be hard and frustrating, other people are dealing with similar challenges, and it takes work (and community, like Ilana’s!) to recognize and be steadfast in our self-worth.

I originally was listening to a male dating coach podcast but I wasn’t liking what he was suggesting and I heard an episode where he had Illana on the podcast discussing the problems with modern dating and I was expecting the guy to blame women and Illana to blame men but I was genuinely surprised that Illana said it’s both men and women’s fault. I’ve mainly heard about men blaming women and women blaming men so hearing someone actually say it’s both of our fault made me want to listen to her podcast. I started listening to her podcast and I have enjoyed them a lot. Some episodes are not the best but that doesn’t mean it’s not good for someone else. I hope having the boys on becomes a standard (whether once a month or something) because I believe it’s best to have both perspectives and I enjoy the episodes where you have the guy’s perspective on dating. I enjoy your podcast and have learned a lot about modern dating. Keep making great podcasts and helping people with seeing other people!

The host consistently tries to make everything about herself even when she has guests on the pod. I used to enjoy listening but the past couple of months haven’t been as good as the initial episodes. She has also said some things about single people like that “it’s the most demanding full time internship trying to be friends with a single girl”… try being friends with a girl getting married or one that has a kid. I’ll listen to other podcasts over this one.
