Meatman2435The only podcast that matters.Day one listener here, haven’t run in 6 months and still look forward to listening every week. If all they talked about was slice bread every episode I’d probably still listen.

Brett (the T-tex) milksFrom the T-Rex“I want to give a massive thank you to The Running Public for everything they’ve done for me. Ever since I started listening to their podcast at the end of 2020, I’ve seen a huge transformation in my running. I went from struggling to make it to the podium to now being on the podium 70 times! Just this year alone, I’ve dropped my 5K time from 19:58 to 17:38, my 10K from 45 minutes to 38:44, and just last weekend, I knocked five minutes off my 10-mile time, going from 1:09 to 1:04. The running plan and insights they’ve shared have truly been game-changers. Every time I have a question, they’re always there to provide guidance. For anyone looking to take their running to the next level, I can't recommend giving them a listen enough. Their advice and plans have made all the difference in my running success!" Hopefully, it will inspire others to check them out too! This expresses your gratitude while highlighting our progress and the impact The Running Public has had on our running. Hopefully, it will inspire others to check them out too!

bigmac1780Lisa is a rockstar!Thank you for bringing Lisa back on for your latest episode. Listening to her running around Milwaukee was inspiring for a fellow non competitive runner. Im always looking for ways outside of racing to make my runs feel purposeful. Love the podcast.

annoyed phillies fanGreat podcastBest fitness podcast on the planet. Hosted by two elite athletes and fitness minds. Love that they allow all athletes a platform, even if the athletes are politically maligned, which melts the snowflakes hearts 😝

West017Best podcast on the market for runnersBeen listening since its inception, and as someone who has dabbled in all sorts of racing and coaching, this podcast covers every aspect of running you could hope for. Whether you’re a high school cross country runner trying to improve, a 40 year old mother of 5 trying to PR the marathon, or a hybrid athlete trying to break a certain time barrier in Hyrox — these dudes have you covered. They’re good at what they do and they don’t have to pump their chest out to do so.

Begone Squirrels!Best running pod!Came for the training tips, stayed for the squirrel saga. Keeps me entertained and informed while training for ultras and making pots all day in my studio! (PS thank you for not having ads.)

aaverill1983Informative, fun and full of insight into the world of running and OCRWhat do you get when you take two wise and experienced runners and OCR athletes, add in solid interviews with successful athletes, personal stories, an unbelievable amount of analogies and a splash of humor? You get the Running Public. Technical but still simple, funny but on point, this is the podcast for OCR/Running fans as well as those who want to improve as athletes. Update for 2024: still the best!
-
I dig it.2 x TRP with 1 week’s rest in betweenListening to this podcast is unquestionably the best investment I’ve made in my running.

Dagobah2024Great insights and tips for runnersWeekly insights and tips for runners of all levels! I love the show and listen every week. How is this ad free? Also, this is THE BEST podcast from a former bachelor contestant.
-
OK ScottInformative and entertainingGreat podcast that is very informative for all levels and ages of runners. Very entertaining and they apply real life to training.
-
Ryan BrizFunny, informative, and EngagingStarted listening to this podcast for some training related tips and topics. My favorites were always the training Tuesdays where they really break down the nitty-gritty science behind training and how to optimize it to fit your specific needs. —-More recently, I started listening to some of the Q&A, and the guest interviews just for something to listen to while driving around at work. Kirk and Brakken do a great job making you feel like you’re part of the conversation, and like you’ve known them for years. —-Definitely a great listen. The only potential barrier to entry for new listeners would be the off-topic conversation at the start of each episode. As a new listener, it’s hard to care about people you’ve never met, but once you start listening to a few episodes, it’s interesting to “catch up with the guys.” —-like I said, it’s always a good listen, and they do a great job keeping the conversation engaging. —-Ps.@ Brakken: Good luck dealing with the paparazzi.
-
JeanPRMachineBest “the bachelor “ celebrity podcast by farOut of all the losers from that show this is the only worthy podcast. If you are looking to be a better and healthier person using running as an activity this is the podcast you want to listen. A lot of good information with a touch of comedy.
-
Todd P in SC#1 podcast with former Bachelor contestantsWithout a doubt…not even close. Keep it up, studs.

KwaderAROOTRP MoneyballI needed Episode 395 to start the new year. When you can’t train…exercise! Brakken and Kirk help me take my average effort “base hits” of exercise and inspire me to convert the effort into “home runs” of training. They are the “moneyball mentality” of the running / OCR / hybrid fitness space synthesizing their years of experience through current efforts into practical and relevant application to help the “average” and the “all star” succeed.
-
RJcrnaGreat showAwesome podcast… I’m mostly a runner but enjoy the OCR talk also. I’ve gotten a ton of very useful info out of this podcast… really appreciate it. Lots of good tips and information on training. Hosts make for easy and entertaining listening. I always look forward to new episodes. Keep up the good work.

Wyldrunner3If you are serious about your running…then you must listen to this podcast. Even though I have been running over 25 yrs, I learn something new in almost every episode. The hosts have very different personalities, and together they work extremely well. They are both very knowledgeable. There is a great mix of training, philosophy, and entertainment. Training Tuesday episode are full of useful information on running (all distances, surfaces, and types of competitions) as well as strength training. The athletes they interview also are diverse and offer great insights. This show is a great addition to a long run.
-

M. LackReal guys giving great information and entertainment! These guys are “real” - bringing relevant topics to athletes, whether it’s runners, OCR, or hybrid. Always a way of making it entertaining and informative! As an athlete of one of the hosts, these guys really care about putting out information to make you better!
-
Dgadd7113Best Running PodcastBrakken & Kirk are great hosts with amazing insight on improving your running game!
-
davekennedy1best running podcast out thereThis is my go-to running podcast. Nothing else combines actionable training advice and interviews with atheletes and professionals in the running world. Other podcasts talk high-level about training and racing, but these guys have a knack for going into the weeds and explaining things in a way that actually has increased my training and racing performance. The only complaint I have is that the software they use to record the podcast has a delay (I think on Kirk's end) that can occasionally make it difficult to listen to. It's a small price to pay, though, for the wealth of knowledge they share with the running community.

timinkcLike listening to a comfy sweaterLike listening to a comfy sweater. It’s just what you want and you can go back to it again and again and again. Really great on long runs too.

Muday945Destined to loseTrying to win the contest but my reviews aren’t posting which is a bummer. So I like the show. My wife even recognizes the beginning jingle because I listen to much. Happy New Year!

Zack MowerBest running pod out there!Brakken and Kirk are a wealth of running knowledge! I started listening a year ago and have loved every episode. Best relatable running content out there!
-
Mtjm86Tuesday Tuesday TuesdayI don’t even remember when they said it but once they were talking about when it’s ‘okay’ to take a rest day and it’s something that I still say to myself when I’m just too tired to get up in the morning and run. They said something to the affect of ‘when you replace your normal workout with sleep, that’s when you know you’re too tired to work out that day.’ It was one of the first times I’ve heard of trainers actually giving their followers permission to be human. Love the podcasts, I always do my meal prep to the Sunday release and of course Training Tuesday is the perfect one to listen during a run.
-
Jordan803Best Running/OCR Podcast out thereI found this podcast in a comment section on Reddit and I am so glad to have stumbled upon that thread. These guys are extremely enjoyable to listen to and I have learned so much about running and how to improve from their Training Tuesday segments. Highly recommend to anyone who is into running, OCR, or fitness in general. You will look forward to every Tuesday and Friday.
-
Zooch07Must Listen for Runners! The Running Public reinforces endurance training fundamentals and introduces new concepts to consider. They do an excellent job of diving into the weeds while also keeping it simple. The podcast is both educational and entertaining!
-
everything is taken 100Favorite podcastsI have been listening to Kirk and Brakken for a few years now. I really love to listen to the interviews on long runs these days. Obstacle racing was a huge part of fitness journey so I originally connected with them on this level. Despite not much OCR these days I continue to love hearing these two banter and discuss all things running! The guests and content never gets old I am constantly taking things away from this podcast, highly recommend giving it a listen.
-
ErJoMo12Excellent!From beginners to high level endurance athletes and everyone in between; you will learn something new from every episode! Absolutely an excellent podcast!
-
MiGreveGOATS, pros & AG’s.This podcast is easily one of the most informative & entertaining podcast out there. They’ve had GOAT’s from the OCR & Hybrid scene, Pro coaches & runners, & people who crush their age groups on this podcast and you will never fail to learn SOMETHING from every individual. Brakken & Kirk preach what they teach and the results show for themselves in their own racing year in & out. You’ve been missing out these past few years if you haven’t been listening so download this podcast select episode 001 and catch up. You’re in for a great time.
