Different_DrummerSupplement to HBO SeriesOkay as a supplement to the HBO series, but not good as a stand alone podcast.
-
Antman lolI love itIβm a huge fan of Potterless Podcast and it was a fun surprise to hear Mikes voice on one of the Q&A episodes π But I would totally recommend this podcast

cdc73Nice companion pieceIf you loved the show these podcasts are a nice addition and offer some more information and insight.

Alicia Butler PierreKept Me on the Edge of My SeatThere are certain things you just canβt make up! And the story of McDonaldβs being defrauded out of $24 million is one Iβll never forget. The McMillion$ documentary kept me on the edge of my seat and the complementary podcast was icing on the cake. Well-produced plus the diversity of people involved makes this a true piece of Americana.

Old TAL GWhat more about this doc and the cast of charactersLove this companion podcast. The doc was great but I want more. Canβt wait to hear about the people involved in more depth and the scenes that were cut. Would love for The Jerryβs sons to do a episode.

drhackenbush1DOUG!Yeah! Doug, should have his own show...he really reminds me of Matthew McConaughey. If thereβs a movie McConaughey should play him.
-
JadearduBoring. Whereβs the story? This is NOT a play-by-play of what happened but a collection of interviews missing any Kind of logical order or introduction. I was Lost and confused during episode 1. Went on to episode 2 and still lost and bored. Iβm done. Unsubscribed!!

HS'sGreat show and podcastFantastic show and podcast. Hoping you all work on something with Doug Matthews soon!!!!
-
JETTSETTER!FBI mcmillonsMathews and Devareaux are fantastic on the show. Their personalities and the way they articulate themselves is intriguing. Great Job on the documentary. They are awesome.. I get a kick out of them. Great job to the producers and directors of the show.

miamaseratias an 80βs kid ...I was so upset I never won. thank you dudes so much for waiting three years for the government to release this info to you. AMAZING SHOW and this podcast is the icing on the cake.
-
koenigfanThe FBI Angle is Way More Interesting Than The Bad GuysDisappointed that the filmmakers decided to focus so heavily on the lawbreakers and not their sleuthing. The FBI and prosecutor as well as the folks inside the McDonald's corporation are more interesting. The series is disppointing. Podcast is just okay.

gem0920115 Stars from a former Simon employee!Listening to this podcast/watching the doc has been a trip down memory lane. I worked at Simon Marketing for several years when I was directly out of college. I worked with Jerry Jacobson on several projects (including taking business trips with him to Atlanta and California). NO ONE at Simon had any clue what he was doing!! It was unimaginable. When we all found out what had happened that fateful day the indictments were handed down (and John Ashcroft gave his press conference) it was heartbreaking. So many talented people lost their jobs because of Jerryβs greed. The pod/doc has been so well done so far. So many interesting facts and stories that I didnβt previously know! Well done.

KitModanoItβs not the story of the caper but a story of the HBO showI guess if you have seen the HBO show you get it . I was really interested in this but itβs not the story of the case but the making of the HBO show .
-
Alan Keith CarverMostly pointless unless youβve seen the HBO showI was very interested in this podcast, as Iβve played the Monopoly contest quite a few times, but I was quite disappointed in the podcast itself. There have been interviews with several people involved in the scandal and the investigation, but if youβve not seen the doc, then the podcast is pointless. They donβt give any information about the people theyβre interviewing or how they fit into the scandal at all.
-
SavyourdvineOMGWhat was the position of McDonalds and have they ever come clean with the public. After this show will any one ever trust the games again, if their brave enough to do it again.
-
Silver State KidBoring, Rambling, and Just Not InterestingGreat topic but the podcast is horrible. Gives very little information or background to the crime. The people they talk to in the first 3 of the series gives little if any insight. Don't waste your time on this one.
-
lenquiDull5 min in...lost interest
-
tferererrDocumentary is compelling, the podcast....not so muchI am an avid....maybe rabid? Fan of the documentary but this podcast is a snooze fest. The pace is glacial and thereβs not really enough supplementary info to make this engaging. Sorry guys. Itβs just not.
-
BlkGypsyChickGreat series.... but!!!Agent Matthews weird cartoonish laugh is SUPER ANNOYING!!...I could barely get through the first podcast episode!π¬
-
ItybitsRNGlorifying people who make morally bankrupt decisions.Makes me physically ill to listen to these people cheerfully justify their cheating. They are the true losers if they cannot admit even to themselves that what they did was wrong. Even the guy who thought it was fine to βbuy a winning ticketβ from someone who was hiding assets from his spouse in a divorce court thought it was β just a smart business deal.β Shame on him for not teaching his children that this too was wrong. We all make mistakes in life. Own up to them.

SLittekenASAP on new episodesVery disturbing but totally not surprising π€‘ great podcast but episodes are not coming out fast enough...losing interest π
-
brewmasterjoeEpisode 3 is trashEpisode 3 on the series and this podcast is trash. The series overall is good, but this obvious ploy by the directors to drum up sympathy for this willing participant falls flat and comes across forced. No one feels sorry for the dumb lady who mortgaged her house and future for a one time payment. Sheβs dumb. No one but the directors feel sorry for her.
-
DeaconstreetQuestionWasnβt it fraud against the American public that the game was knowingly rigged and yet McDonaldβs continued the game with zero possibility that anyone would win the big prize?
-
ColumboJones25ZzzzZzzzz that ladyβs voiceTorture listening to her talk I also donβt feel sorry for her
-
shelleybean612What a story!Thoroughly enjoying the HBO series and the podcast! I look forward to each new episode of both. Many thanks to everyone involved. Great work!
-
let me use thisSomeone thinks these guys are just great....... itβs them! Iβm under 5 minutes in and between their voices and the dumb yukking it up throughout each sentence I know itβs time to pull the plug. Reminds me of some fifth rate morning show in a small town in the middle of nowhere
-
billy frasertrblesuch a compelling story that was hidden by the timing of other incidents. this pod is hard to follow and confusing. this story deserves better. I canβt believe that they are happy with this broadcast. look up some of the written stuff that draws u in. this is really bad
-
realcritic1AmazingFantastic companion to the show
-
Glen HeatherAgent MatthewsThat debonair laughter of Agent Matthews cracks me up EVERY time!ππ€£ Wish youβd do what Netflix does and just let us binge watch all the episodes.
-
Phantom Writer 563AmazingBehind the Seen of all the shows interviews. Great added details come outs here. But like they said you have to watch to enjoy the podcast.
-
fulofunckTHIS A COMPANION TO THE SHOWIβm bummed b/c the story sounds fascinating, but this is strictly a secondary, βbonus β extras like you get on dvd movies.
-
Snowmommy.d.mGreat Companion to the Show!I really enjoy this podcast after watching each episode of the documentary. The series is great to watch and these interviews and reflections are great to listen to if you want to dig a little deeper after watching each episode. If you are listening to this without watching the show, youβre missing the point of this podcast.

podcast reviwerAgent Doug MatthewsDull

nickname stops reviewBad audio production and not the full storyVolume is very uneven, and this is only a companion piece not the full story
-
thiswillkillthatA really fun and funny companionWhat a funny and just plain fun podcast to match a fantastic show! Iβve been dying for the new episodes to launch so this is a great way to get some of the story while waiting for the next episode! Great job guys!
-
Willyc277Totally lostI get giving listeners a behind the scenes view, but if you donβt even explain what happened first itβs pointless. Contains almost nothing about the actual story, just interviews. Waste of time.
-
cathyrayrayLackluster show companionThe HBO show is great, but listening to dull interviews of investigators in this podcast is a bore. Would have been better to recap the episode with extra details. Feels like they just grabbed everything on the cutting room floor - extra interviews, deleted scenes - and mashed it together with no context.
-
slotimesHave to watch the showAfter listening to the trailer I was excited to start this podcast. But after listening to the first episode, I realized that this show only elaborates on what you are seeing on the show and is not a stand-alone podcast.
-
Gina MauiGreat podcastThe documentary is great and the podcast is a great supplemental for it. Agent Doug Matthews is hilarious. Who says accountants are dull?
