Joe believes big government is only way farmers make a living. The carbon pipeline doesn’t produce more ethanol. It’s a government regulation which will be payed for in taxes by the farmer. In turn ethanol gets a tax credit. If you’re invested in a plant you might get a bump in a dividend check. I’ve seen government programs like this that are supposed to raise our income. They all fail.

Great info and guests

I started listening to this show in March and enjoyed it so much, I went back and started with the first episode. Lots of useful information and perspective about grain marketing, as well as a great aggregator of news headlines. Recently though, political opinion has seeped into the content more and more. Mackenzie’s completely slanted view and now even Joe is taking veiled and then not so veiled shots at one side of the aisle. Go back and listen to any two week stretch of the show in the first 18 months and then listen to the last two months. It won’t take long to see a clear difference. Joe used to be pretty careful about how he approached news that might be viewed as partisan. Far from it now. This isn’t a “stay in your lane” review. Joe and Mackenzie’s opinions are as valid as anyone’s. And it’s Joe’s show to produce as he sees fit. It’s right there in the name “other stuff”. But now the other stuff isn’t crypto and whatnot. It just makes me question whether I’m getting info that is useful to me, or just what fits their political perspective. It has undermined the integrity of the show. If their leanings align with yours, or you’re a consumer of political news tv, you probably won’t notice a thing. But if you like to think critically about what you’re consuming, you might look for another outlet for an ag news aggregator.

Joe does a great job putting the information out there in a short format that is not overly complicated.

Joe does a great job, very informative and speaks his mind. Totally captures my attention (not easy to do).

Joe does a great job of sharing information. He has a knack for breaking down the data in a way that makes it bite size and easier to understand. Joe presents information with a non-bias perspective, which is quite refreshing compared to other media outlets. I listen nearly everyday. My only complaint, which Joe has no control over, is when apple releases these podcasts. Joe records these live at 630 central, and pushes them to apple ASAP but, I don’t get alerts for the podcast until 5pm sometimes. This has driven me to watch on the YouTube platform when I can sit and watch. So, 5 stars for Joe. Apple, step it up! Lol

A friend told me about this podcast a few days ago, and I’ve really enjoyed it over the last week. I was looking for a short and sweet daily update, and this is it! I do wish that he would mention the milk market the way he briefly mentions the cattle market though since it so closely follows corn.

Joe has a gift for digesting current events and educating his audience. He keeps it straight forward and unbiased. I have found the visual aids on his YouTube channel extremely helpful. 10 out of 10 recommend tuning in!!
