CheezhausGood but…I enjoy the interviews, but the sound quality on some of them is so bad they’re unlistenable.

TransmissionDJDig '80s music? You'll dig this podcast! As a music industry veteran and someone who has worked with many of the artists being discussed in this podcast through the decades, it was an excellent surprise to have "80sography" appear in my feed recently. I'm six episodes in and can't wait to explore the rest! Mark is a stellar host making his guests feel like this won't be just another interview in the endless promotional interview cycle. His sharp humor and inclusion of his children hits in all the right ways and is a nice touch. As someone who reads musician autobiographies and consumes music documentaries weekly, you'll many times hear the bits that aren't brought up in the books and on film. Highly recommended...and long live the '80s - ography!

jammybastardAmazing series. A must listen for fans of music production of any era.Just look at the list of people interviewed and the length of the interviews and that should tell you how great this podcast is. Everything that you could every want to know is covered. I’ve listened to too many music production podcasts, most are crap, this one is the best. I hope it keeps going for a very long time. Thank you for creating it and seeking these geniuses out.

Tom3puttAmazing look behind the curtain at Tears for FearsThanks for all the research you put into this series of podcasts. It’s a great holistic look at the entire music industry. Well done, sir !

RoyHarrellExcellent Program! Well Done! There are a number of TFF interviews/documentaries that give only slight insights into all things TFF (Classic Albums - Songs From The Big Chair, etc.) Anyway, I was reading up on Ian (Wiki) and learned of Mancrab - Fish For Life. In the YouTube comments someone recommended this podcast - and what a treasure this show is! SO MANY good interviews- and I’m just getting started! Thank you SO MUCH, this is a real historical document for any TFF fan! I can’t wait to dig in!

Never Let Me Down AgainA true findI’m always on the hunt for 80’s music content, the kind aimed at true believers who know the surface level stories. These deep dives are captivating.

Cattledog7Definitely for those obsessed with 1980s pop musicI originally found Mark’s podcast by trying to find any interviews with the notoriously quiet Ian Stanley. From here I just worked my way backwards and forwards through all of the other episodes. This turned out to be my podcast of the summer! Mark is at his best when he uses his encyclopaedic (trying to use UK spelling here) knowledge of 1980s music, and slyly slips it in without sounding like a “know-it-all”. Also, his interviews keep getting stronger and more polished per episode. Don’t worry, though, his wry sense of humour (UK spelling again) does not leave us even in the most recent episodes. Keep up the great work!

julesabritMartin Page EpisodeYet another highly entertaining show. It’s hard to do actual work while listening to such an enjoyable podcast. Mark nails it every time with such wonderful research and truly inspiring guests.

Julesab7Fantastic Podcast…The TFF’s series has been just incredible. Love the time and effort put into each show. Thank you.

InternationalObserverMissed OpportunityBeing a big admirer of both Elton and TFF I was excited to listen to this podcast, unfortunately, the scattergun attempt at humour (WHY?!) coupled with the hosts almost inaudible at times commentary fails miserably. It’s clear the research has been done to a forensic degree, no complaints here - it’s just put together in such an amateurish fashion, not unlike a teenager in the 80’s may have done on a double cassette deck. Not sure I’ll get to episode 2. Disappointing.

samwisefanAnnoying presentation of material. The author/editor’s attempts at “humor” are so appallingly bad, they should be ashamed. And, sadly, there’s a lot of it. I couldn’t get past the first TFF episode.

a fortioriIncredible DetailA fair critic and astute observer of the most detailed aspects of songs and artists covered. As a Tears for Fears fan it has been a joy to listen to this. Looking forward to more artists being covered.

JFGRunnerEnjoying Season 2It took me just a bit to warmup to the rhythm of the show but enjoy them very much especially since I am a big TFF fan. It is obvious these can’t be quick to produce but please keep them coming! Thanks.

Steff_17The Exact Thing I Didn’t Know I NeededWhere do I even begin? This is one of the funnest podcasts I’ve heard in a long while. I feel like I’m listening to an audio version of the kind of punk rock documentaries I used to devour when I was in my teens and early 20s. It’s beautifully edited, and the sound bites the host chooses to pepper throughout the episodes keep me on my toes. The host himself is fun, informative, and willing to fact check himself with humor and humility. Absolutely bummed I’m already halfway through season one! More! Boomshanka, Steff (Anglophilia)
