Not great but not terrible

It is really nice to have a Carolina hurricanes podcast to listen to especially after the games that I cannot watch my biggest issue is how often the host says “you know” He says it about once every 10 seconds and it drives me up the wall but like I said it is nice having a podcast to listen to about the canes… Edit thank God Jared Ellis is gone. This podcast has already gotten much better since.

Love the style and the overall demeanor of the host. He sounds like us fans of the team and I like that. Nothing too fancy, just unpretentious, honest fan-driven talk peppered in with good hockey analysis.

Please get a new HOST!

I love the hurricanes so much and I keep trying to give this show a chance but, please can we get a host that knows what is going on. The host is I’ll prepared and is an embarrassment to the other quality Locked-On NHL hosts out there. This is not an everyday podcast like it’s supposed to be. Please prepare for your show, the hurricane fan base deserves better and we deserve a passionate host that knows what they are talking about.

Host is awful.

Jared Ellis’ knowledge of the game is minimal at best. Most of the time he literally says nothing worth saying while repeating himself over and over. He hates Tony DeAngelo and let’s it be known simply because TDA is a known Republican. Save yourself 24 minutes of your week and go listen to Canes Cast or The Caniac Report with the two Sams. Jared should stick to playing video games…

Please fix mic

Please fix the mic. It cuts out every 5 seconds. Other locked on podcasts way better quality. You are making the canes community look bad. Where is the enthusiasm?! Fix that, then we got a 5 star podcast in our hands.

Poor Quality

The host isn’t terrible—but the quality of the podcast is. I’m tired of having to hear spotty microphone use and the latest episode doesn’t even have audio. Please fix these things.

Someone get these guys some coffee

Considering the energy and enthusiasm the Hurricanes are defined by I’m really disappointed in the hosts. They sound like they’re recording at 2am and are half asleep. They can’t seem to pronounce any name of a non Carolina player and often don’t know much about other teams’s players. Why is this important? It makes it hard to take them seriously when they measure up teams against the canes. Hard pass unfortunately.
