The paranormal comes to life as husband-wife duo Dan Cummins (acclaimed standup comedian and true horror fan) and Lynze Cummins (costume and wardrobe stylist for numerous film and television productions) share terrifying stories that will leave you sleeping with the lights on. Dan’s goal? To scare Lynze with creepy accounts of demonic possession, shadow people, and other eerie phenomena. And when he’s done, Lynze fights back with chilling fan-submitted tales of true horror. Together, they explore the darkest corners of the web, dusty old books, and even their own eerie surroundings—a studio filled with occult objects and located right next to a cemetery. Don’t forget to check out the mini-series Nightmare Fuel, airing on this feed the first and third Friday of every month, where Dan narrates a short piece of original horror fiction.

Definitely my favorite podcast

I absolutely love STD! and the new Nightmare Fuel originals! I’ve listened to the back catalog, twice… and look forward to the new episode(s) each week!! I’m also from Ohio, so I love listening to Lynze’s references and stories, as I grew up not far from where she calls home! 3 out of 5 stars, please don’t change a thing!! And, keep ‘em comin’… especially the sequel, multi episodes of Nightmare Fuel!!! ❤️

How many times can you listen to a podcast? The limit does not exists.

Not only is this podcast cool, wild and interesting- ITS SO ENTERTAINING! You can listen to the episodes more than once, and be just as terrified. I love how much the hosts have grown in their own thoughts of the paranormal and dans nightmare fuel is the icing on the cake!!

Dan you continue to inspire me to become a better person and writer everyday. You and Lynze have done more for me in this lifetime than you will ever know. I am thankful for finding the two of you years ago and sticking with you all of the way. This recent nightmare fuel sparked all the emotions inside of me. Trying to go political instead of scary.

Losing the scary and trying to go political makes for trash stories. The last thing I thought people would be interested in is a forced feed narrative of Qanon.

That was by far the hardest Nightmare Fuel to listen to! Not because it was bad, it’s because it was terrifying and I had to keep starting and stopping it! Love it!! Do many more please.

I really like nightmare fuel mirror stories, and doppelgängers and story’s about dolls give me all the chills Dan can really tell a good story’s keep it up can’t wait for more I also hope that’s there is a part 2 to the storm

This is such an amazing podcast. I love the interactions between Dan and Lynze each episode! Dan takes a lot of time to research each story and his narration is SO GOOD!!! Lynze’s fan stories always give me the goosebumps in the best way possible. Her acceptance of all things that go bump in the night is refreshing to see, and Dan; though doubtful, still gives credence and respect to each and every story. I would highly recommend this to anyone who likes all things spooky or anyone in the mood for something fresh. Thank you so much for all the work you do.

These nightmare fuels are seriously good. I wait for these to drop religiously, and every time I see one pop up I have to listen to it immediately lol. Scared to death has become one of my most favorite podcasts. Dan and Lyndz are the best hosts, and they’re super consistent with good stories.

Great stories and great people

I love this podcast! The way the tell the stories draws you in and gives you jump scares. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve been driving and listening intently to the story and the Dan yells “BAM” and I jump so much but I haven’t had any accidents. They also have such big hearts. They are constantly giving to charity and they have scholarships. There are usually two true tales Dan gets from the internet and Lindsay reads listener tales. There is something for everyone. Dan started Nightmare Fuel and he enthusiastically reads stories he’s written. He is a very good writer. I’m a creeper (been into scary stuff since childhood) and his stories are scary and have unexpected twists. Thank you both for putting together such a wonderfully entertaining show. I’m hooked !!

My favorite horror podcast

I’m a long time listener of Scared to Death and other horror podcasts ( like NoSleep and Creepy). But this one has slowly emerged as my clear favorite . While I always enjoy the classic format , the Nightmare Fuel episodes have become something I really enjoy and look forward to. I love the way you keep innovating to not only keep the show fresh but to make it better . Keep up the great work you do . I hope to listen to you for a long time to come .
