    Demistifier
If you are planning to buy or have recently bought a sailing catamaran or if you’re living aboard or plan to live aboard, this podcast is for you. They’ve bought two new catamarans from two different manufacturers. Or if you are planning to sail the Mediterranean, they share their experiences of sailing to and being in different countries around the Med. For me, listening to the podcast really helped demystify the process of ordering and buying a new sailing catamaran. It’s great to hear about the options they choose and why and to get an idea of the timeline.

Essential listening: Super practical and very enjoyable
I have listened to all Stephane and Holly’s podcasts as they prepared for, then undertook, the move from life ashore to life afloat. I am planning to start cruising around summer 2024 and I find their podcasts to be invaluable in all kinds of practical decisions I will have to make whether boat, EU visa, money, equipment, insurance, health, navigation, power, sails, … and on and on and on... Hundreds of decisions. I don’t expect all my questions or thoughts to be answered - they will have their priorities and I have mine - but there are nuggets in every podcast and also trigger topics that I add to my list for further thought or research. For anyone considering life afloat, permanent or not, I think this podcast is essential listening. Fun, enthusiastic and practical hosts. Thank you Holly and Stephane!

    Life on a Catamaran
Great stuff to unpack here, really enjoy listening to their perspectives, opinions, and suggestions on transitioning from land life to boat. Also very cool to understand why they’ve made to decision to switch up to a performance boat after a couple years aboard their first one that was more comfort oriented.

We are buying a boat and planning on cruising. This podcast is perfect for really preparing for the crazy lifestyle. Hope gets in to the nitty-gritty details. To help us understand what we’re getting ourselves into. I greatly appreciate all the new boat information as we are also buying a new boat in France. I can’t recommend this blog and podcast enough if you were planning on going cruising.

    Operation Cruise
Wonderful two professionals explain the manny facets of leaving family, careers and starting a cruising lifestyle. Hope approaches this in a very well thought out plan with lots of useful details to allow others to follow her path.

    Boat builder
Years ago the process to build a custom wood boat was to have often the designer be the equivalent of the commissioning agent . Interesting this process is continuing ! This is a really great podcast , thank looking forward to the conclusion of the comminisioning after covid19! It’s interesting also that you boat was not built in the FP factory that is on the water front ! Enjoyed conversation with Terysa , did you ask her about their new boat buying experience ? Would have been interesting to compare? Cheers Warren

    Loving Hope’s perspective
My husband and I are preparing to become liveaboards and are currently researching all things sailing. Listening to Covert Castaway together has inspired meaningful discussions, given us different perspectives to consider, and encouraged our journey together! Thanks so much, Hope! Love, the Nauti Newtons
