Tenn and Two

163

Tenn and Two is a weekly podcast brought to you by Kat and Katlen, two Nashville women who love talking watches, photography, adventure and exploring the world of horology. It seems we don't often get to hear women's perspective on watches and the watch industry as a whole, so we're setting out to change that. Have a question or idea for the show? Send us a message at info@tennandtwo.com.

    Watch talk for normal people
Love this podcast has it has truly fueled my passion for watch collecting and time keeping. These two ladies are really down to Earth and at any given time they can break out in a random talk about cows or life for 10-15 minutes and that’s truly what more of the watch community needs. Keep up the great work ladies.

    Consistently good podcast
This is just an all around excellent podcast about all thing watches and more. I never miss an episode. The hosts bring insight, humor, and a fresh perspective to all things in the watch world. And they often have amazing guests. If you’ve never listened, you should give it a shot!

Becoming tedious and repetitive - Such a shame
The Tenn and Two podcast has been a lot of fun since its inception. They have had interesting guests and reviews and their take on the world is refreshing. The podcast has gone through phases. The "watch community" phase where very other sentence had to include the phrase "watch community" had its amusing aspects. Sadly they have become the "I must defnd my watch purchase" podcast. Regular listeners will know that one of the ladies purchased a Rolex. COngratulations Kat. You wear it on a regular basis. Great. That's what it's for. Now please move on. The constant defence/self-justification of this purchase has become tedious. It also affects the interviews with guests. The latest interv iew with Lydia Winters could have been so interesting but seems to have been a 40 minute monobrand elergy. What a waste. With lockdowns ending and a return to the office looming the time to listen to podcasts will decrease. Tenn&Two probably won't survive long on my podcast list if this carries on. I've skipped too much content on these podcasts recently to make them worth the time. What a shame.

    A Watchgeek “must” ...
The ladies are consistent and fun to listen to. It’s been cool to see the progress of the show since it’s inception.

    B...!
Two women having the b... (chutzpah) putting themselves out there in a male dominated genre and you have to give a bad review? Shame on you. Thank you both!

    Excellent!!!
The two Kats have really become must listen watch content. They do such a nice job of keeping it light but interesting. They represent an important perspective for all watch lovers out there.

    Refreshing!
I love how knowledgeable the hosts are and how approachable they make this hobby. Their passion is clear to see. Great podcast. Very well produced and always one I look forward to. It’s refreshing to hear some female voices in the watch world. They have some amazing perspectives and insights. Keep it up ladies!

    good chats bad takes
it’s a good show for what it really is: two friends chatting casually about watches. but when they try to talk about the industry the takes are bad and cringy. inflated self worth and proclaiming to be “media” don’t help.

    So informative!
I consider Kat & Katlen my go-to resource for all things timepieces!!!!

“Mercedes” hands down, the best watch podcast
Every watch podcast I’ve ever listened to has been extremely slow and uninteresting. Not this one! They do an amazing job of balancing their fun personalities with serious information and opinions on watches and the industry. If you’re just getting into the hobby, a seasoned collector, or just want to listen to two people who are passionate about their shared hobby; this is the podcast for you!

    Amazing people
Kat and Katlen are truly amazing people. I’ve met them in person and written a little piece for the ten and two website, and there couldn’t be two more knowledgeable and enthusiastic people to listen to!

Innovative, authentic and refreshing. So glad to find this.

    Pure class. Pure fun. Authentic.
True camaraderie is hard to find. But it is easy to listen to. In the case of Kat and Katlen, the two hosts of the Tennandtwo podcast, it is a joy to experience. I love watches and so do Kat and Katlen; that is abundantly clear. Over the last year they have elevated that enthusiasm for the hobby into one of the most professional - and classy - shows on watches you can find on any platform. From their totally engaging interview style (with a great range of guests related to watches), to their humble approach to podcasting, Tennandtwo provides a perfect sound track for the watch hobby. In a world full of stress, Kat and Katlen do their part to connect with their listeners as much as entertain. First rate! So happy I discovered them. BT, San Francisco Bay Area

    Watches, Friendship, and More
I found this podcast about 20 episodes in, but did not really start listening regularly until the start of the pandemic desperate to fill spare time with content. Like many watch enthusiasts I read the sites, watch the youtubers, and I wanted a different perspective. In the world of horology journalism, you’re greeted with three types; Those with a focus on the lifestyle that may or may not have suspect affects; Those with an agenda/sales pitch, and those that are genuinely passionate about the hobby whether it’s a $300 Khaki or a $60K Datagraph. Thankfully, these two are the later. While I originally tuned in for the reviews and guests many know, I come back because of the discussion with two people that genuinely enjoy each other’s company and like discussing watches. They do not get bogged down by the technical specs, but focus on the the topics most enthusiasts talk about amongst themselves. I wish the best for these two and I hope they get more partnerships that will allow them to get more hands on time with some other brands. Keep up the great work.

Love this podcast, and I’m not into watches.
Kat and Katlyn have an uncanny way of taking a topic that can seem elitist and make it approachable. I’m the significant other of a watch enthusiast, and I find myself listening to their podcast even when he isn’t! The Kats have a natural conversational interviewing style with their guests that make me feel like I’m getting a behind-the-scenes look into some cool brands. Their humor, chemistry, and authenticity keep me coming back for more. Keep up the great work, ladies!

    The Best Watch Podcast!
Simply the best watch podcast available. So authentic and fun! Tenn and Two brings out the fanboy in me!

The best watch podcast there is
Kat and Katlyn are an absolute pleasure to listen to. There are funny, sweet and genuine. I listen to other watch podcasts, but seriously, none capture the sheer fun of watches the way Tenn and Two do. Thank you both for all the fun!

    Was good
Was good until they started kissing hodinkees behind and huffing hodinkee toots. Also crazy hate and ranting over the bb58 navy, which is sold out and hard to get. Usually charismatic and funny duo tho.

    Such an awesome podcast!
These two make you feel like you’ve known them forever. Very candid, authentic and still, very informative. I have the choice of many watch podcasts and Tenn and Two is my first!

    Great content.
I really enjoy the natural southern banter and this is one of the few podcasts that stays on topic. Well done ladies, keep it up!

    Informed, fun, and interesting
Team Kat have a very good watch enthusiast show. I’ve been listening since very early on, if not the very beginning of the podcast. They’ve brought to my attention releases I may have otherwise missed, I appreciate their read on various models, and it’s great to get a perspective from women that love the watch world as much as I do. They’re aren’t as many female voices in the hobby, and I very much like hearing from them. Keep it up!
  • @case_and_crown
    Fun and educational
This is the first watch podcast I discovered. As a woman who is a new watch enthusiast, I have learned lots of valuable things from Kat and Katlen. Their friendship dynamic is a plus. The show is always entertaining and covers many interesting horological topics. It’s great to get women’s views on watches and everything to do with the hobby.

Amusing Podcast with Room for Improvement
Bearing in mind that this podcast is relatively new, these two are doing quite well. They are networking, expanding their venture and gaining sponsors. They even made the New York Times! Not too shabby. As far as watch podcasts go, I would say that Tenn and Two is relatively entertaining. The "we are from Tennessee" bit can get a little exhausting at times. It feels a bit forced, like they are trying to generate personality rather than highlight their own. The occasional "y'all" seems natural; the "Y'all its got a dang tootin' honky tonk bezel wonk" type bit? Less so. If you are new to watches and are interested in learning, I would strongly recommend listening to some more research/fact-based options in addition to Tenn & Two. It often seems as if little to no research has been done on models discussed prior to recording. You will get general specs and such, much like you would by quickly googling a model yourself, but this is an extremely "surface level" podcast. Expect it to basically mirror the big names in the watch industry, except with less knowledge to back up what is said. All of this being said, it takes all types in this hobby, and it is refreshing to listen to two (mostly) unpretentious fans discuss timepieces. Clearly what they are doing is working, and despite the couple minor gripes mentioned, I generally look forward to their podcast releases.

    Great
I binged this podcast once i found out about it for every day until i reached the newest episode, its nice to hear woman speaking about watches and their opinions and likings to all of it, instead of hearing men as usual. And they bring a funny, new taste to some watches and independent brands we would normally never hear of
  • Ekim89
    Unpretentious, relatable, awesome!
The ladies at Tenn and Two have the uncanny ability to take a snobby hobby into something that is relatable for most of us enthusiasts (#allthewatches). Their southern charm shines with their guest interviews, which I think promotes to the laid back conversations listeners have become accustomed to. 5/5 all day!

Excellent podcast not to be missed - all the watches!!
This podcast has quickly become one of my absolute favorites. Kat and Katlen have cultivated a breezy format that feels less like a formal episode and more like the kind of sit down chit-chat that you would have with your bestie about your favorite watches. The podcast feels balanced between discussing the big classic brands but then also introducing newer/smaller brands that I hadn’t heard of before. I also think they’re a necessary female perspective into what has traditionally been a stodgy boys club. They are a positive influence for any girl who wants to love beautiful timepieces but was traditionally told they weren’t for her. All in all I think there’s something for everyone from the kid interested in a G Shock to the young collector getting ready to make their first big watch purchase. I can’t wait to see what’s in store from these exceptional podcasters. ALL THE WATCHES!!

The world is listening. As a southerner who lives abroad. Please don’t make us seem ignorant.

The Two Kat’s make watches fun!
Very fun to listen to the Kats! Nice mix of watch content and other discussion. But they are truly having a good time and it comes through. Love the enthusiasm and energy as well as the ladies take on watch hobby.

Great Content from a Great Town!
This podcast is A+ grade. It’s great to listen to some watch people from Nashville!

    Yawn and two
Kind of amusing when talking to Scottish Watches but these two are just so uninteresting and the conversation between them just utterly inane.

    Fun and Informative
Fantasy podcast for Watch Nerds who wish their better-half cared about watches. Seriously, lots of fun and I hope they continue for many years.

    Great point of view
I heard about this podcast from Adrian from Bark & Jack. I listened to the first episode and was really pleased with a woman’s perspective on the hobby. Both my wife and daughter wear Rolexes (because of my love for watches) but I would love for them to be more into it. Really great observations from both of you. PS, I wear a Speedmaster reduced!

    Refreshing
Chemistry is a weird thing. You can know someone forever yet have none and you can just meet someone and there is tons of it. Kat and Katlen seem to have an unlimited supply. With the podcast, they bring humor, fun and personality; things other watch related podcast desperately need. Listening to them two times a week is so refreshing. Whether it’s on a morning drive or winding your watches, they are definitely worth it. Furthermore, it’s great to see how active they are in the community. They answer questions and even have time for some messaging on Instagram. All while holding full time jobs. It’s this devotion to the show and the betterment of the listener experience that is inspiring. Overall, it truly feels like the sky is the limit for these two. We can’t wait to see where they go.

    Solid watch podcast
Yes, this podcast is made by two women, but more accurately it is made by two watch nerds. The hosts know their facts and deliver them in a great way. The topics should appeal to all watch collectors and many of the watches that they like are considered to be excellent for men and women. Give the show a listen and you will soon discover what southern hospitality is all about. These watch collectors are classy and knowledgeable.
