    Deeply insightful, thought-provoking content
This podcast may not resonate with everyone, but for those who relate to the experience of emotional intensity, both internally and within the world, it’s incredibly validating, thought-provoking and even lifechanging. Imi Lo’s expertise and passion comes through in her own content as well as interviews with guests. I wouldn’t change a thing.

    Potential
This could be a really good podcasts given the topics, insights and guests. However the podcast could benefit from the host interacting and responding the guests instead of asking what sound like pre-written questions. There is a lot to learn in the topics the guests bring up, and the host could expand on these more instead of just acknowledging them and taking notes on that. Sometimes their relation to what the guest is saying is a little odd and doesn’t speak to what their guest is talking about.

    Host interrupts
Very hard to listen to when the host is constantly interrupting her guest in odd spots

    Audio Essays
I discovered Egg Shell podcasts recently, quite by accident. I found them helpful and interesting but often I was distracted by daily life or I didn’t relate to the topic of discussion. THEN I listened to one of the audio essays. The experience was so powerful - listening a voice directed to the listener as if speaking to me. I immediately grabbed my headphones so I could completely immerse myself in the wisdom and revelations you wrote in your essays. (Reading on a computer screen can not replace the voice). Speaking of the “Voice”;it is so perfect in all ways. I think I recognize the artist, but whoever it is expresses your thoughts clearly and elegantly. Thank you. NG

    Great audio essays, poor interviews
I love the audio essays, very informative and validating. The interviews are difficult to listen to, the host could be better at listening and allowing her guests to speak.

The emotional eating episode lacked compassion in a way that really surprised me. I would prefer not to hear from Karen as a guest again.

    Bummer
This would be one of the psychology podcasts around if the host would stop interrupting the guests. At several points in the Generational Trauma episode, she was trying to talking over the guest for 5+ seconds at a time, just as the guest was getting to the good part!!!

Great topics (especially OCPD) - awful interviewer
The host talk/interrupts too much and doesn’t let her guests speak. Too many unnecessary interjections.

Imi is unlike any other psycotherapist in the world
Some reviews talk about Imi interrupting, but it should be noted that Imi herself is a psychotherapist with extensive knowledge and unique perspective. I see this not simply as an interview, but a dialogue between two parties who are very knowledgeable. It’s great to see how they build off each other. I found imi through her extensive writings on PsychologyToday and finding eggshelltherapy website. Her specific perspective digs deep into BPD, cultural nuance, and more. Her podcast is a great resource that gets updated and shines light on another specific facet of this way of being. I thank Imi for her heartwork and continuously building the book for patients in a way that is accessible, caring, and ahead of the normal narrative. -Ro

    Great guests, but…
way too many interruptions by the host. She literally breaks the guests train of thought to ask questions or even insert personal comments that tend to distract from the topic. Painful and frustrating listen. ((sorry))

    Absolutely Addictive
A fascinating and intrinsically intriguing work of art!! A necessary set of ageless, timeless insights helping to forage and forge a path for us lost souls who are in need of giving voice to the void of misinterpretations in our psyche!!!

    Bad interviewer
Maybe it was just a bad day but she kept interrupting every time her guest started getting to the point, like she wasn’t really listening. It was hard to listen to.

A must listen for Highly Sensitive People!
Fabulous podcast offering depth, insight and compassion. Very soothing to hear other people have had similiar experiences (and feelings of being misunderstood) to my own.
