I listened to this podcast as my first podcast while picking cotton. I thoroughly enjoyed the podcast, and was well worth the listen

Love the podcast! Just wish I didn’t have to hear Corey ask if I’d like a popsicle in the intro.

    Disappointing interview with Vance Crowe
Boy, I was at Zack’s field day, and Zack’s endorsement of Vance meant a lot to me. That was until the episode where yall interviewed home and he complained about women getting jobs instead of cranking out babies. Father of three, including two girls who want to farm. But his rhetoric seemed to boil their worth down to having a womb. That is too bad, because I liked his talk at Zack’s field day.

    Shocking comment from Steinbauer episode
Guys, I never miss an episode of your podcast. I love what you do. I do not always agree and sometimes you really piss me off. The recent Steinbauer episode was probably the most egregious. When Sherie talked about preparing lunch at the start of the episode, she apologized for not including pork, knowing Cory relies on pork as part of his revenue stream. Sherie: “I'm sorry, I didn't include pork in the lunch.” Cory: “That's all right. That doesn't affect me at all. Nope. I don't own the pigs. I just get paid to grow them.” - Doesn’t a vast majority of corn go to feed livestock (1) and generate ethanol (2)? When you include the DDGs from ethanol production, livestock would be the corn farmers’ most important customer. Does the integrator that owns the pigs in your barn buy Iowa corn? Could that corn come from your farm? - The livestock industry, especially the pork industry, has had the worst 24 months of financial stress in history. You would think someone who profits from it would have some concern about supporting its product. On the contrary, driving consumption “doesn’t affect you at all”. What a narrow and disappointing point of view. I wonder if anyone from the company who owns the pigs in your barn follows your podcast? I wonder if they would be as shocked and disappointed as I was?

    So helpful
It’s helpful to hear from the guys what else might be available in the ag realm. Plus when Dave stops in I’ve enjoyed hearing about his farming beginnings he’s going through as a beginner myself it helps to hear I’m not the only one going through it.

    Buy American
Great show! Lots to learn from this! The best beef I ever had was in Argentina, second, was in Brazil but I live in the US and will only buy US raised and processed beef. People in this country need to wake up and support their local farmers and processors. We can’t rely on the “big 4” to have our best interests in mind!

    Thank you.
This review is coming from a guy who has grown up in the inner city, Chicago specifically. Ironically, living in the city most of my life has fueled my desire for a more rural life and that’s led me to AG, and AG related podcasts. I love everything about the life and the information you gentlemen give us weekly. My eyes have really been opened. Keep up the excellent work.

    Taverns
I grew up in northeast Nebraska and we call them Taverns. I live 45 minutes from Omaha and they are referred to as sloppy joes here. My wife is from south central Nebraska and refers to them as sloppy joes.

    Enjoy the show
Enjoy all the podcasts but the ones about carbon credits have really intrigued me.

    Informative show, great hosts
This is the best ag podcast out there. I like the long shows. They are full of detail but not full of mindless gab like a lot of podcasts. They talk numbers and hard data. I appreciate that you guys stick to ag and stay out of politics. If I want to listen to politics, I’ll cue up a political podcast. I’m here to hear about farming for profit, and these guys deliver. Keep up the good work.

The new intro has to go
I assumed when I first saw your podcast that most of the info wouldn’t apply to someone with a smaller operation like mine but I was wrong. Every episode has something anyone can use to one application or another on their farm. My only complain is the new into. “Trading plows for punchlines” seriously? If I hadn’t found you guys before that I would have immediately went on to something else

    5 Forks…1 Steak Knife
It’s like when you host a get together away from home and grill 10 steaks and only have 5 forks and 1 steak knife to serve your guests. They find creative ways to get to the meat…

You’re helping more than you know.
I have slowly built from a small hay farm to off set taxes. Now I farm 400 acres. The business side of farming is the hardest. You guys help cut through the clutter of everything from operating loans to estate planning and have been super helpful in making me profitable.

    Awesome show!
Whether you are interviewing someone or just talking I have learned from every show. I am an engineer by trade but love farming. This show has taught me so much and I love discussing it with farmer friends!

    Show ideas
Great shows, thanks guys! Very informational and entertaining at the same time. Show ideas would be more in tune with equipment shops, repair, refurbish and up fitting. Legacy interviews are a favorite and if possible arborists and tree farm management. As a second generation, fabrication machine shop owner we work on agricultural repair/up fitting trucks and field equipment. Two generations ago everyone in the family farmed, our Dad left the barn in the mid 70’s. With a lone gas powered 3010 we only “farm” about 15 acres in relation to our deer plots, tree farm and water shed issues on our 150 acre family property in North Central Ohio about 20 miles south of the most southern point of the Great Lakes. Keep it up and go Buckeyes! Take care, Andy Skinn CUSTOM METAL WORKS, INC. Norwalk, Ohio

    Great podcast.
Been listening for awhile. Really enjoy the content. Information is very relevant. Have found myself seeking out vendors that have been interviewed on the podcast. Look forward to more episodes. Enjoy the conversations about adoption of new technologies in the farming/ livestock sectors. Keep it coming. Great work.

Each show has become an advertisement
This used to be a show I looked forward to listening to every week. Anymore it’s feels like most of the episodes are just a paid advertisement by some corporation.

    Great conversations!
I love the show by can’t keep listening while at work… Episode 251 about father hood had me tearing up. I had hide it from my co-worker buddies haha… In all seriousness this podcast is awesome and it has helped me not only as a first generation farmer/business owner but also a husband, and father. Just started listening to the show a few weeks ago. I’m a first generation farmer trying to grow something to pass down to my kids and the info y’all provide has really helped me. Thanks and keep up the good work.

Enjoy listening each week. Legacy farmer series hits hard and makes me think.

    Great Show
Was listening to the episode today about Building a Better Brand and you guys got me thinking. Our NW Iowa farm is 153 years old and my children would be the 7th generation to answer your question about the 7th Gen farmer who reviewed today. Love the shows on transitioning and have shared with farmer and non farmer friends alike.

    Amazing show!
Hey guys, love the show! Found it from the Off The Husk show, and have already listened to 25 episodes. Wondering if you guys could do a show talking about the new CDL requirements and the new rules with driving on farm plates. I have tried doing my own research but it is very confusing. I’m sure I’m not the only one confused on this topic. Thanks again for the great content!

I’m here for the intro music
I love this show. It’s the perfect mixture of entertainment and actual knowledge I can apply to my operation. Yes, guests are diverse and they cover a wide range of topics but really I subscribe for the intro. The intro music is a bop, I’m talking chart topping excellence. If the pod doesn’t work out whoever wrote the song should switch career paths. -Farmwithzoe

    Fun and Informative
I really enjoy this podcast. Ya'll are in the top of my que when a new one comes out. Suggestion: Do an episode on new farmers getting money to start once they take the reigns on the family farm. Something my wife and I are working on now.

    Fine like Wine!!
I have been digging the podcast for a long time now and it reminds me of when I worked in the wine industry, the wine maker use to always say “Have some patience young man, remember a Fine Wine gets better with time.” The podcast just gets better and better, the banker and auctioneer guy are great but that farmer Corey guy puts this podcast over the top!!

Tanner, Corey, and David make a great team and do a great job of integrating a variety of topics into their podcast. If you’re passionate about agriculture you’ll enjoy their show.

Really enjoying the summer series you guys are doing! Even though it’s more focused on the farm4fun spin off there is still a lot of insightful content that comes out of it. These guys put out some real good stuff!
