Tom BruettGreat podcast for gay menHad an awesome time talking with Rick about gay male relationships on the podcast. He provides useful information with humor and a no nonsense approach that’s easy to listen to and entertaining. Highly recommend.
-
Dr. Israel MartinezA needed podcast for gay men!I feel honored to have had the opportunity to be a guest on this much-needed resource for gay men. This podcast keeps it real and provides a vital and non-shaming space for gay men to learn and feel validated.
-
GrahamClanPiperAWESOME!It’s so great to finally find a relevant to gay people 40 and up. I mean it’s hard enough to find anything of substance for gay men. This is a breath of fresh air.
-
randynxDecent despite dominating hostIt’s quickly obvious this host likes to hear himself talk… And despite having guests, Rick largely uses them as a mere sounding board for prioritizing his own commentary, in which he chronically interrupts & dominates the discussion. It’s not inherently wrong or bad for a host to engage in dialogue, drive conversation & add supporting points…if balanced well, but his style/approach reveals a more amateur experience. Conceptually the podcast has relevant topics, some meaningful bits & potential to be impactful but the Rick-centric theme got tiring. Why have guests if they’re experiences, insights, and expertise is not showcased?! I stopped listening after 4 episodes.

Prince_kfKeeping it 100 with Rick!I had the pleasure of being a guest on Rick Clemons' podcast, 40 Plus: Gay Men Gay Talk. Rick's approach to our conversation about my book, Threading the Needle: A Fashion Designer’s Guide to Successfully Launching Your First Collection, and the pursuit of my dreams was both fun and inspiring. His genuine curiosity allowed me to share my journey of living authentically and fiercely pursuing my dreams - as a designer and LGBTQ advocate. Thank you, Rick, for the opportunity to share my story and for the incredible work you do for the community.
-
Duuuval!ArghAn interviewer who seems to just want to talk about himself. Please, stop. Let the guest talk. Ask them questions. Listen to a Terry Gross interview for guidance. I had to unfollow.

Kforu75Thank you 100 times overI had the incredible opportunity to speak with Rick about being who you are created to be. I was able to tell my story and hopefully let other guy know how amazing they are for just being themselves. This was such an amazing moment in my story and I couldn’t be more excited for everyone to hear it. Rick….man you rock and I am so grateful that our paths crossed. You are changing the world one conversation at a time and I am so thankful for all you do. Until next time….

NGDesignsLost me within 5 minutesI’m a new listener, and was very interested in hearing some great discussions about gay men’s health over 40. Unfortunately Rick lost me less than 5 minutes into episode 206 when he referred to his 2021 Provincetown trip as “post-Covid.” 2021 was not post-Covid. We had a massive surge of the Delta variant in 2021, and funnily enough, P-Town was one of the sources for community spread among gay men. And then there was the winter 21/22 Omicron surge. So no… we are definitely not post-Covid. Even in 2023. So I certainly can’t take anyone’s health and wellness advice seriously if they think 2021 was post-Covid. It’s unfortunate. I’d love to hear more about the important health issues of our era, but it can only be done if the host(s) can honestly acknowledge the ongoing public health crisis we’re still living through.
-
puppoppaI adore Rick! This show has been such a life changer for me. I’ve learned so much from Rick and his guests.
-
PNW coachRealness with humorRick strikes such a balanced approach to discussing what’s important while infusing humor throughout his conversations! Having both ends of that spectrum melded together allows the listener (and his guests) to feel engaged and at ease while exploring bigger topics.

Michiz1130Great info for all!I recently had the privilege of being a guest on Rick’s show. After the invitation, I began listening to previous episodes. I know it’s a podcast by a man for men, but there is truly great information and inspiration for all! And honestly, as a woman, what better way to know what is really going on with you guys than to eavesdrop on these conversations.

malamastAuthentic, Relatable, and RawIt's so refreshing to hear real men talk about life in authentic, relatable, and raw terms. I am so sick of the usual sugar-coated podcasts. Not with Rick Clemons, though! Rick talks to men unapologetically and gets men talking. Thanks for all you do, Rick!
