Byron York is chief political correspondent for the Washington Examiner, a Fox News contributor, and host of The Byron York Show podcast. He has covered the Bush, Obama, Trump, and now Biden administrations, as well as Congress and each presidential campaign since 2000. He is the author of two books -- The Vast Left Wing Conspiracy, an account of liberal activism in the 2004 election, and Obsession, an account of Democratic efforts to remove President Donald Trump from office. Formerly White House correspondent for National Review, his work has been published in the Wall Street Journal, Washington Post, Atlantic Monthly, Foreign Affairs, and the New Republic. A graduate of the University of Alabama and the University of Chicago, he lives in Washington, DC

    The brief, focused and direct form of this podcast is nice for a change. Byron’s effort to give a politically impartial presentation is very much appreciated. But please....get a better intro/outride sound!!

    Where’s the Beef (podcast)?
    Like the podcast when it’s available! Not consistent programming. Sometimes it’s daily and sometimes it’s not. I like to listen to the same podcasts daily and chose different ones to get different views of the days news. When a day or two are skipped I have to search for another podcast and I may decide I like it better then yours! 3 star rating due to consistency, not content.

    Byron delivers an informative 15 to 20 minutes daily that really does fill in the gaps of the important stories of the day. He really doesn’t pull any punches. A daily habit. Highly recommend it.

    I so appreciate Byron York’s podcasts and newsletters. He doesn’t pontificate; he speaks with wisdom and clarity in a rare, unbiased manner with researched facts, not hearsay nor rumors. He points out the fallacies and fake news, regardless of the political affiliation. When something is wrong, it’s wrong. Thank you, Byron. So glad I learned of your work via Bill Bennett’s Morning in America show several years back.

    One sided point of view
    Let me first state that I am a Republican. I just must write a post after listening to April 11th’s podcast. Byron went on and on about the recent “Super Spreader” event and how so many Democrats contracted COVID, etc. He kept comparing it to the Trump Rally’s and Amy Barrett’s ceremony among things. However, he never did mention the fact things are just a wee bit different now than back then (vaccines). What a lopsided podcast. Howard Kurtz also went on this rant but at least mentioned things are different. If all you want is a one-sided point of a view, then knock your socks off listening to Byron but I have had enough!

    Byron has the best demeanor - and once you listen to this podcast for a bit, you may find yourself wondering why he isn’t on Fox and other outlets even more! The show is calm, concise, and his quick narrow focus leaves you with a feeling like in a good South Park episode, when Kyle or Stan turns to the camera and says “You know, I learned something today . . . “. Byron can be pointed, but it’s always wrapped in his very agreeable manner, so it comes off very well. I wish him the best with the show!

    Byron nails it. He should give a master class. Keep it short, hit the main points, give your analysis and opinion without becoming a partisan hack. I’ve alway enjoyed reading his articles and watching his TV analysis, but his podcast is simply the best. THX Byron.

    I like to listen to both sides, because I’m quite aware of how the different networks skew their coverage and presentations to capture the nation’s attention but this podcast is just ridiculous. Nearly everything he says is conjecture. Most of his opinions are generally unsubstantiated. I listened to multiple episodes before just giving up. Maybe some preparation and fact checking would help.

    I’ve always liked listening to Byron York. He is solid and very smart. My only complaint is that I wish the podcast would go longer. I really appreciate the guy’s intelligence.

    With the months leading up to the 2020 election
    York was an excellent source for impacting political truth. Cutting passed the noise and tuning into the signal. But York has now resorted to a form of self preservation and will only go as far as the scripted nonsense narrative that is typical on the neocon soapboxs and the progressive bull horns in the media. With the months leading into the 2020 election and with each passing weeks beyond the appointment of Biden, it has become very apparent that York has become lazy, complacent, or possibly compromised and no longer has the will or the drive to get to the core truth in political affairs. His denial that the 2020 election is based on voting fraud and should be investigated thoroughly speaks volumes at York’s lack of commitment to integrity.
