    What a joke
This podcast has become increasingly difficult to listen to. Nick frequently centers conversations around himself, often circling back to his time on The Bachelor nearly a decade ago. His tone toward and about women is often condescending, which is especially apparent during his “Ask Nick” episodes. In one instance, he dismissed a caller’s concerns about her boyfriend’s conservative views on women’s suffrage, implying she only cared because it could affect her future marriage — as if caring about gender equality isn’t valid unless it directly impacts your relationship. He constantly presents his opinions as if they’re facts, but his logic is often flawed — especially when it comes to reality TV. He acts like an authority on Bravo shows despite only having started watching them in the past couple of years. He makes sweeping judgments without any real context or understanding of the long-standing dynamics that shape what’s currently happening. It’s frustrating to listen to someone speak with such certainty when they lack the background to support their takes. His intense dislike for Ciara from Summer House feels more like a personal vendetta than a reasoned critique. He also criticizes the cast based on viewer-created narratives — like accusing them of calling themselves “girls’ girls” when they never actually did. His cohosts have started to disagree with him more often, but any pushback is quickly shut down. Rather than engaging in a real conversation, he interrupts or talks over them to explain why they’re wrong, and eventually they just cave. It’s disappointing, because there’s potential for smarter, more nuanced discussions — but instead, it’s just Nick’s echo chamber. I would love to hear a reality recap episode without him and see how much better the conversations would be. Honestly, the podcast has become a platform for someone who comes off more like a wannabe therapist than a thoughtful host. And given how he handles the advice segments, I worry he’s doing more harm than good to the listeners who call in. At this point, it’s baffling the show is still going. Nick has become a joke.

Not being political is a privilege
Edit: praising 2 rich white ppl being pardoned for 30+mill in fraud is so tone deaf. White hetero cis gender male says we should be grateful for basic rights in America? Not being political is a privilege. Most of us are not proud to be a citizen of the only developed country without universal healthcare, parental leave, affordable childcare, and so on. Of course it’s better than Iran but that doesn’t mean we still don’t deserve so much more.

    Janet
I will say Janet is very articulate. Hypocrite! She is a bad person still to me! You were great interviewing her

    Very enjoyable
I’ve been looking for a reality TV deep dive podcast, and had stayed away from this pod because I had a negative opinion of Nick Viall. I finally gave it a try and really enjoy it! I’ve gone back and binged various episodes. I think the hosts have solid takes on storylines, Nick holds guests accountable, and the vibes between the hosts seem authentic. I like his wife, and appreciate having people outside their marriage also involved with hosting so that you get various points of view.

    Dumb Host
Nick is literally getting dumber being surrounded by these idiots on his team. Some of it is very embarrassing for him. In the Tom and Victoria episode, he said he sees a very big difference in the Tom now compared to the Tom who was on the show previously. A complete 360. 360 degrees is a circle you idiot. It takes you from one point right back to where you started, forming a circle. The complete opposite would be 180. 180 degrees is on the opposite side of where you started. And for the last time, it’s pedeSTAL, not pediSTOOL. This podcast used to be one of my favorites but I just can’t listen to it anymore. Anytime I do, I feel like I’m losing brain cells. Honestly I feel dumber after hearing it these days so I just gave up.

    Favorite podcast!!
I’m a huge Bravo & reality tv fan & this show always provides the best interviews & they get allllll the best guests. I also personally love the banter & personal talk amongst Nick, Natalie & the rest of the “household”. This pod is a great listen, every time!
  • ksizzle26
    Time stamp the description
Not putting time stamps on your description makes it extremely difficult to skip to parts of the pod I actually care about. It feels as though you are forcing me to listen to the full episode (which I don’t want to do). Now, I don’t even bother to listen at all because it’s too much of a hassle.

    Rough
A bunch of very unintelligent people. Nick is a misogynist disguised as a feminist. I try to listen on occasion due to certain guests but listening to him and his wife ramble on about their kid (other peoples babies aren’t interesting to others) and his wife’s constant shrieking and screaming is rough. She seems so grossly materialistic. They also try to speak about things they are clueless about without even attempting to do a little research.

    “Literally, like, it’s giving…immature”
The guests of late have been great especially since I love SLOMW and Summer House. But, please stop saying LITERALLY and LIKE and Nick please stop saying IT’S GIVING all the time. Soooooooo aggravating. Also, it is rude to have crying babies in first class. I would be annoyed, too.
  • **RIP OFF!@&$!
    Love this but
Nick, I can’t believe you said you don’t tip your bellhop because you don’t carry cash. Well a lot of people don’t carry cash but when you travel you SHOULD have cash so you’re able to pay the service workers. So does that mean you also don’t leave a tip for the housekeeper or valet driver, etc. So tacky!!! Please don’t do that anymore. Carry cash so you can tip! Don’t be a cheapskate.
  • cristy the first
    Too much personal talk
If you can get through the hour of personal updates, they get great interviews and have good perspective on the shoes they actually watch. But I have to fast forward about an hour to get there. Nick would do better with different co hosts. His dynamic with Natalie and then the giggly side kick is a bit much

Nick hates women. It’s obvious and especially the way he treats his wife.

    Eh it’s ok
Kinda annoying the advertising for certain episodes of a special guest, then put it at the very end. Most of the time I just skip to the very end for the guest but for an hour long podcast wished it was mostly on the special guest not other stuff. Time stamps would be very helpful.

All the Blake & Baldoni of it!!
Would love to write a review of the deep dive your doing on B&B drama.. oh wait your not doing one… yet! Playing is safe? Blake and Ryan are running a muck and you say zip, nothing, notta. Come on Nick, I’m waiting on you saying you were wrong and you miss judged Justin Baldoni. You (and your wife and staff) ripped him apart for being a sensitive man. You can’t find anything bad about him. However, B&B on the other hand are complete entitled, rude, mean people who are WASTING the courts time! I pray they have to pay millions to Baldoni!
  • Youappear
    Out of touch fame seekers
I suppose every decade has those trashy gossip people who just love to drop names and talk about where they go. Folks like this grasp at celebrity like hungry, grubby rats. Nick and his little wifey are definitely in this category.
  • bellabee311
    Nasty
Unfortunately, the pod is nothing more than trashing people anymore. No matter who the target is, it’s terrible. This man (and his wife) literally get off on being hateful people! I get there are people in the world not many people like, but he spends hours tearing people down, calling people bad parents and excusing cheating bc he doesn’t like someone. It’s gross
  • Karli 12
    Eh
This podcast would be a lot better if you didn’t have to wait 50 minutes to an hour for the guests to actually be brought on the podcast. I feel like the guests being brought on and the conversations that take an hour before hand should not be on the same podcast episode. It’s annoying having to try to find when the guests actually come on to hear the part you actually want to hear. Nobody is going to actually listen for an hour to get to the last 20 minutes to hear the guests.
  • Montana Julie
    Guests too early
It’s frustrating that he always gets guests BEFORE their show has aired and often before they’ve even seen it. So there’s so much they can’t talk about- and half of why I listen is to hear how they are reacting to the public response. Makes it a lot less interesting imo.
  • Bublina2020
    Don’t turn commercial
One of my go to podcasts on consistent basis. Enjoy updates from some of the shows, even pay for +. PLEASE DO NOT ADD COMMERCIALS ANY MORE FREQUENTLY THAN YOU DO ALREADY. When there are commercials every 10-15 minutes shows become unlistenable. Many iHeart shows and Bach Nation shows are like that and it’s not worth it. Left those shows long time ago. Not coming to obliterated by commercials. I get that you have to make a living but when it’s that frequent - the show just becomes garbage.

    Going Uphill
Guests are on the upswing! Loving the 2022 refresh, moving away from the Tik Tok stars🙏😍 2025 update - sadly don’t listen to the “Ask Nick” updates anymore, it seems to be what he’s most passionate about but his perspective seems to have narrowed and his privilege and “protect men” mentality is really hard to listen to.

    Needs time stamps
Lots of good convos each episode but would love to have time stamps so I can skip stuff.
  • TheyHaveNoNicknames
    Negative
The only thing this podcast provides to anyone’s lives is negativity. The hosts only have on controversial guests-who most of the time do not deserve a platform- and commend them on spreading hatred and negativity. It’s not pop culture-it’s hatred. The only reason this podcast has survived is because it has guests who cause controversy. I don’t understand why we are still giving the hosts a space to spread hate….
  • BriiBriXo
    Rambling but has good parts
The guest lineup always sounds so exciting, but it’s disappointing when they only appear in the last 15 minutes of a two-hour episode. I find myself skipping through large portions because the content leading up to the main guest often feels like filler. I wish the show would get to the point sooner and make better use of the featured guests.
  • alittlebitangie
Brilliant episodes—just wish episodes were more focused!
Nick’s interviewing style is outstanding, and I hugely appreciate the professional audio production—every focused, single‑topic episode pulls me right in. I often skip though when an episode packs several unrelated themes into one conversation; hunting for the part I want to hear can be tricky, so I tend to choose a different show altogether. If episodes came with a tighter topic focus, I’d listen start to finish every time I find a topic that interests me!
  • kaylaf86
    The voice
Nick cannot read an Ad. It is so painful and fake. This 47 yr old man is also creepy how he talks about younger women. Has racist overtones. The wife on the pod interrupts everyone and acts her age ( not a compliment)
  • Canwenot?!
    For the love of God
Get Justin off this show. So sick of his “devils advocate”
  • homebird85
Entertaining, but take opinions with a grain of salt.
The call-ins are entertaining, for sure. However, at times the advice is a bit … immature? I don’t know if that’s the right word, but let me give some examples. There have been a few calls lately involving children/parenting. As a parent of 3 children, my parenting opinions have definitely changed over the years as my children have grown older, and as I have experienced their different personalities and needs. The advice presented reminds me of how I felt before I had children (and thought I was an expert). The most offensive being a call-in where the woman was complaining that her boyfriend hadn’t taught his 8 year old son to ride a bike yet. Somehow the conversation devolved into essentially calling children “like that” 4th grade delinquents, who will eventually grow up to do drugs because they’ve never been encouraged to do hard things. It was such a tremendous leap, and a lot of assumptions were made about both the child and the man’s parenting. Another example would be from an episode I listened to today. A woman wanted to go on a solo one-month vacation to Europe, and her boyfriend was resistant. The host said something along the lines of “Why would someone take a one month vacation alone, unless they’re planning to get laid.” This reasoning was used as justification for why her boyfriend wasn’t comfortable with her going. Like … what? Many, many people travel solo and have no intentions of hooking up. So, anyway. All that to say, while Nick often has some great advice and can help callers look at situations from a unique perspective - but not all advice is equal. Use as entertainment, sure. Consult your therapist for professional advice. :)

Big fan of the Ask Nick episodes and the change
I have to say, I’m really enjoying the change to the “Ask Nick” episodes where it’s only Nick giving the advice. It’s such a great shift. Without other voices jumping in, the focus stays entirely on Nick’s perspective—which is exactly what I’m there for. His advice is clear, grounded, and refreshingly honest. I feel like I get more out of each episode now that it’s just him. This format really works! and I hope it stays this way!
  • Kerr0838319
His takes keep getting worse and worse.
If you have two braincells, you’ll disagree with all of his ‘hot takes’. He speaks with such authority that you would think his opinion is fact based but it’s not. It’s also shocking that people call in for relationship advice from Nick. Are these people paid?
  • JenZ832
    Good but could be great
I love this podcast and I’m a Viall Files + subscriber. I appreciate that Nick isn’t afraid to go against the grain and to voice his true opinions. (Appreciate his hot take on Karen read). Ciara is the most annoying podcast host I’ve ever listened to. I can’t stand the baby voice she uses and her constant interruptions. Justin, Leah, and the rest of the gang are great additions.
  • Dessssssssa
    Welp!
So i was a huge fan of this podcast and within recent months, it’s almost become impossible to listen to Nick, which is a shame because I’m obsessed with Natalie like Natalie if she had her own show, I will listen to her every day, but her misogynistic husband who is so quick to always defend these men and bash women It’s hard to listen to. I’m sorry I’m not a huge feminist but like every single topic where he has an opportunity to even uplift a woman, he’ll bring her down, but he’ll feel so sorry for all these men like this bachelor guy that he keeps wanting to clear his name, but he bashed Paige desorbo unfortunately had to stop listening as much
  • Sger11
Nick tells it how it is and i love it
Nick gives the best advice - it may be straight to the point but that’s what people need to hear. so many of these callers have the most wild situations and i appreciate that he takes every single one seriously by asking so many questions and really going deep into the topic with them instead of giving half baked advice we’ve all heard — he takes a good amount of time with each person and genuinely wants to help, goes into specifics when giving guidance and/or observations. I don’t listen to the reality / celeb / tv show recap episodes but i do love the caller episodes - they’re all such diff situations and people each time and it’s interesting to hear their stories and what nick thinks about it. the guy knows what he talking about & is more emotionally intelligent than most men, has the experience, knows he’s still learning too, and i’m glad he’s still consistently doing this pod and hope he keeps it going for a long time. also so happy for him and his beautiful family. saw them walking in nyc last week and they’re such good looking humans. anyway, that’s my review. xo - Samantha Gerard

    1st class A-hole
Listening to May 12 episodes of ask Nick. Absolutely horribly condescending, judgmental, misogynistic, and rude to the first caller. I can’t believe she didn’t hang up. On this first class A-hole.

Why does Nick care so much about Zootopia on the trampoline?
I’ve listened to so many episodes since they do a great job of having guests on from the shows I watch. Cannot stand when Nick and Natalie give such strong takes when they are so uninformed about Housewives, Vanderpump and Summer House especially. They are so judgmental and annoying about it. There are plenty of shows that are shady and I’ll disagree with that are still entertaining and fun to listen to. Cannot stand these two and can’t listen any more. Also Nick sounds jealous about the Summer House guys watching a movie on the trampoline, why does he care at all it’s weird.
  • BoomGarvey
    I can’t
Listening only because I want to hear about Lexi Wood. I was quickly reminded why I stopped listening to Nick. Very condescending and still giving off those misogynistic vibes. lol
  • MovieWatcherNYC23
I miss Amanda & this pod.
I enjoyed this podcast for years, but why was Amanda (the most articulate and thoughtful person on here) & even Allie indirectly pushed aside for Ciarrrrra, youngins and the nepo wife that already had her own separate career? We feel the loss and miss what this podcast used to be. Now it’s adult Nick leading an army of like five very young sounding minions that just repeatedly interject GenZ buzzwords like “period” or “literally” or “truly” or “love that” or “facts!” instead of any real substance. Or should I say, entitled Natalie pushing him aside to take over as army general?
  • Amama8789
    Not like it was
I was a day one listener and used to religiously listen to this show. Nick’s advice was relatable and often profound. The last year or so, it has become so difficult to listen to… I get that nick and Natalie are married, but it this case… less is more. As someone who has been married for 15 years, they remind me Of a young married couple and it takes away from the validity of the conversation. It’s unfortunate. I hope changes will be made and I may return to listening
  • crazytac0
    Nick is a misogynist
Pretends to be a feminist but says some of the most horrible things to women he interviews. Stop blaming abuse victims, stop obsessing over women’s reproductive clocks while not mentioning a single thing about men and their role. Trash show, trash host. This man needs to stop being platformed.

    5 Stars + A Tip!!
Love this pod and have found myself listening more and more! Quick tip for the team - for the episodes that have anyone speaking outside of Nick, whether it is a cohost or a guest, please remember you have new listeners/fans who don’t know what’s going on so intros are needed!
  • Salkfjfugec
    Nick let people talk
Nick asks questions, followed by a rant, and the questions never get answered. Or he will ask someone a 4 part question, but answers it himself? Annoying.
  • J Redddddd
    Natalie Joy-less
Used to love this show, but after Joyless became a regular, it’s gone downhill. Just because your husband is the host, it doesn’t make you qualified to cohost. My husband is a lawyer, that doesn’t mean I am qualified to show up at the courthouse and work there everyday. She’s loud, rude and somehow makes every topic about her. Please take this constructive criticism into consideration. Overall the show has great guests and interesting topics & interviews, but the immature gen Z commentary is uneducated and cringe.

    Herpes jokes are so 1985
Why making jokes about herpes? How do you think this makes people who have this feel? Hopefully you won’t face the stigma of this condition, which many have and or/don’t know they have it. It’s also very controllable with medicine. “Wow, let’s make fun of HIV next, how fun!” Lets act like we are much better than others! …You’re not. You knocked up a fan girl about 20 years younger than you. 🙄 Humility would suit you both.

Men Have a Biological Clock besties
MEN HAVE A BIOLOGICAL CLOCK. It's misogynistic and incorrect to repeatedly mention women's "clock" while not mentioning men's. Advanced paternal age is linked to miscarriage, autism, preeclampsia etc. Plzzzz update your views on fertility and ageist views to reflect scientific reality.
