Sigrið NWise, Christian adviceThis podcast is wonderfully relatable. I love hearing about marriage and parenting tips. I admire their wisdom and advice, and I think they're a hard working family, equipping their kids for the future. I resoect the conversations around having more kids. We will also have 3 under 3, and it is good to hear about the reality of having more kids. Highly recommend this podcast, as it is very focused on glorifying God and serving Him through our lives. Oh, and a great bonus is also about hearing about screen-free lives. All the best!

LivingmadeezPodcast ReviewAs a parent navigating the complexities of raising children, "Now That We're a Family" has been an invaluable resource for me. This podcast offers practical parenting strategies and fresh perspectives that have genuinely transformed my approach to family life. Each episode is filled with thoughtful discussions that emphasize the importance of nurturing a loving, faith-based environment. One of the most impactful aspects has been the emphasis on bringing God into our family dynamics. The hosts skillfully weave biblical insights into everyday parenting challenges, helping me understand the significance of instilling God's love in my children. Their guidance has encouraged me to foster a deeper connection with my kids, ensuring they grow up with strong moral values and a sense of purpose. Overall, "Now That We're a Family" has not only equipped me with effective parenting tools but has also deepened my commitment to creating a loving, faith-filled home. I highly recommend this podcast to any family looking to strengthen their family bonds and infuse their lives with God’s love and guidance.

AbisinthehouseWow!!This is such a great podcast, I have been listening for about a year and love every episode, but the marriage one just gripped my heart! My husband and I have been married for almost 7 years, have 3 kids 3 and under and just finished self-building our home, and are definitely living the “roommate” mentality on accident. I am definitely signing up for the Marriage maximizer

justynarenaeWonderful Podcast!I absolutely love this podcast! I’ve shared it with everyone pretty much lol. I highly recommend listening for some good wholesome encouragement. Edit to add: I met them at the Wellness Collective and they are just as sweet as they seem on the podcast.

evry filleFun podcastI like this podcast but I want to correct a piece of misinformation. In a recent episode Katie said that Mormons don’t believe Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the only way to heaven— we very much do believe these things and consider ourselves to be Christians. Like you, I’m trying to center my family around Christ. I appreciate the advice and examples given in this podcast.

sophiemomo6SabbathI really appreciate the life you’re living, loudly for the Lord. I was listening to your sabbath podcast and your reasoning for talking about your family legacy on that day was from scriptures. I think we have to first look at what God says about His sabbath day to know why we are commanded to keep it and then to know HOW we are to keep it. I highly highly recommend the Westminster Confession and the Catechism to help you and your family better understand God’s plan for the day. There’s a specific day to Sabbath, there are specific activities we are ordered to do and not to do and it’s all spelled out in His word. Yes, the Lord wants us to remember our heritage and give honor to those who have gone before us, but not for us. We’re supposed to be using it as a sounding board to talk about the Lord and what He has done. Not just for the ancestors we can name and have picture of but of our spiritual heritage which is found in His word. The Israelites are our heritage as Christian’s and the works done by the Lord concerning them should be on our lips on the sabbath. The promises he gives us, the ones we can see fulfilled and the ones yet to come. The hope we can have in them because we can see who He is in His word. The Lord commands us to keep the sabbath Holy. It’s part of the moral law, and according to where it appears in there (4th) we can know that the Lord finds this command about sabbath keeping to be more important to remember and keep than the commands that follow about honoring father and mother, not stealing, lying, adultery, murdering and coveting. It’s more important because it directly concerns Him and His glory. Our family has been keeping the sabbath for 4 years now and I can tell you without a doubt that it’s been a huge huge blessing for our family. The puritans liked to refer to it as “A market day for the soul” where you gather all the goods you’ll need for your soul. Where you can refresh what the week has worn down. A foretaste of heaven, fellowshipping amongst the saints.

Macyc93My number 1 podcast! My husband and I love this podcast! I found Katie on YouTube years ago doing a Q&A with her mom. My desire to have a large family led me into looking for tips and encouragement in raising many children. I binged all the videos with her mom then later discovered the now that were a family podcast. I got my husband listening and we often discuss them together. I talk about and recommend it to my close friends. My sister in law started listening too and we all discuss different episodes. Thank you guys for great content!

Wife GiovagnoliFavorite podcast for the Christian familyThe only podcast I’ve listened to every episode and followed back from the beginning and when Katie had Now that I’m a Mother. Grateful for their perspectives and boldness to speak their opinions regardless of what’s popular and base those stances and convictions on the Bible and godly counsel

New Yorker gone OkieThe favorite part of my Tuesday & ThursdayI am a 31 married mom of three kids 4 & under and I can confidently say this is the favorite part of my Tuesday and Thursday mornings. They have such wise counsel, inspiring parenting advice & wisdom. I didn’t grow up religious and they have encouraged and helped Shepherd my own parenting with my little ones and even in my marriage. I’ve gotten some great tips just from listening to their podcast. One of my favorite episodes is with Douglas Wilson & their book reviews. The way they talk about books! I used to read all the time as a kid but stopped when I got older and after listening to them and their book reviews. I couldn’t help but buy a ton of their books for kids and adults and now I read all the time! Great podcast they even have a YouTube channel that’s got some great tips and tricks. I love listening to them first thing in the morning before the kids wake up which I now do thanks to a book they recommended called the miracle morning. Seriously, you take away one or two really great things from every single one of their podcast and it truly makes you better person.

Theophilus777NCThank you!Katie and Elisha, thank you for taking the time to share your wisdom! Your content has greatly influenced how I parent my two little ones, and I have been blown away by your intentionality with parenting! You have inspired me and my husband to be Deuteronomy 6 parents. Thank you for your humility in sharing, and thank you for your godly example! You two are a lot of fun to listen to, and I am never bored!
-
JRFWALOVEAbsolutely love Katie and Elisha’s podcast. Their positivity , joyfulness, encouragement and honesty has truly blessed my home and my family . There’s always new content to inspire you in new ways practically and spiritually.

916godSo wise and encouragingI have to say I don’t often write reviews. But I have to tell you guys how amazing and helpful Elisha and Katie have been in my life. I’ve been listening to them for over a year now and I’m so beyond blessed by their wisdom. Their encouragement, and their biblical view on the world we live in. Parenting 4 kids is no easy task but they help me feel less alone and encourage me constantly. Homeschooling, mothering, serving my husband, child bearing, friendships, and my relationship with the Lord have all been blessed by the wisdom and encouragement they share. Thanks guys

drml90Learning large family life :)I really am enjoying the episode on when children should be included or wait on the sidelines, watch and learn. We have five children ages 8, 6, 4, 2 and newborn as does my sister who we will gather with this summer. This episode got me thinking about ways to creatively structure that week so adults (parents and grandparents and aunts/uncles who don’t have children yet) and the children alike can have a fun and restful time. Gave me permission that we don’t have to include kids in everything, which I needed! I feel like we have definitely moved into parenting the “social skills” and “conversation skills” with the older two this year and felt like your stories were very relatable on this topic. Haha. I totally was caught off guard having to “parent” what I felt should sort of be intuitive to them (but wasn’t) but agree after some intentional coaching and role playing (my husband enjoyed that too much 😂), they have grown so much more pleasant to have around in social settings with other adults! As someone who didn’t grow up in a large family myself, I have been encouraged by your podcast and experiences shared. Thanks K & E!
-
Shelly GellyGreat PodcastReally love this podcast, definitely one of my favorites! I will say that there are just too many Q&A episodes, but other than that really enjoying it. Thank you!
-
AKoppanaInspiredI loved the interview with the wild brothers! Praise the Lord! This was my favorite so far I think. I am so inspired by Katie and Elisha. They are so intentional as parents and this podcast has helped me grow so much. I’m so thankful for these faithful Christian’s!
-
SeñoritaTotWhat a great interview!I love your podcast the practical tips and insight on kingdom building legacy. My spouse and I both come from a family of 5 and God has grown out family to be 7 and first time homeschoolers. Very encouraging!

dina67899It’s Okay to Not Be PerfectIn general I enjoyed this show and respect this couple, but I think I reached the point where I no longer am relating to the episodes. All of the content seems to be spoken from a, “we have it figured out” perspective and not a “we’re right there with you guys!” perspective. It’s okay to not be and always seem perfect - that’s when content is actually helpful and entertaining. Otherwise, blessings on this ministry!
-
kayl1999Wonderful Podcast!I am so thankful I found the Now that We are a Family podcast! I have been listening for a little over a year and feel that I have learned so much. I probably am not in the typical demographic of listeners considering I am single and do not have children, However I love listening to Katie and Elisha’s thoughts, and each episode’s content is educational and relevant to today’s times. It is rare to find such likeminded individuals.

KeithNicholsUnbiased ReviewMy wife has been listen to this podcast for awhile. While I have not listened to much, I can attest to the fruits that have come from it. She has enjoyed the spread of topics relating to parenting and marriage. I have enjoyed seeing her so engaged with the topics of discussion and how it has lead to us have important conversations that might have otherwise gone I discussed. I personally have had peace of mind knowing that the perspectives are coming from a biblical foundation and that the hosts seem to have a genuine heart for The Father. Always seek The Father with fear and trembling. Trust but verify all you hear with scripture. Podcast can never replace time spent in The Word. But if you’re looking for a good podcast, with some good people, covering some good topics, this might just be the one for you.
-
MamarizzI look forward to this podcast every week!Tuesdays and Thursdays are now one of the highlights of my week because I get to listen to a great show from Katie and Elisha! I love how applicable your advice is, the book reviews are so inspiring to me and get me very excited to read more, and I always feel motivated to some form of improvement personally, in my marriage, or with my children after listening to an episode. Thanks for all that you both do!
-
AshleyMGrantWow so wonderful to find TRUTHThis couple is not afraid to speak truth with biblical backing. They have so much wisdom and biblical knowledge! So blessed to come across this podcast, a new favorite of mine! I love hearing about their family and the way they live their life. They have inspired our family to make changes. Our kids are 2,1 & 3 months and about 6 months ago we started to read our Bible to the kids at breakfast every morning! And started making a more simple life for our family! Thank you!!!

UtKATasanaSome helpful ideas but confusing brandingI run a business with my husband and found an episode related to best practices for spouses that are small business owners via a random search, and found some really helpful tips that we implemented. Katie and Elisha (I hope I’m spelling that right!) seemed like friendly people right around our ages (early/mid-thirities) too, so I was stoked to listen to more episodes, but found that most of the others seemed to be related to religion or pregnancy/parenting. The latter I thought “oh, of course, the title definitely seems to imply this is a podcast focused on blended families and these two just happen to run a business and did a one-off about that,” but after giving several that seemed interesting enough to me as a non-parent a shot just because I liked the hosts personalities, I don’t think that’s actually what it’s about either. I know podcast names don’t necessarily have to be overt, but this one is genuinely confusing because it seems like they’ve been a family for quite some time now and didn’t join their family together “Brady Bunch” style like the title implies. (It would make a great sitcom title, though!) This was mostly surprising to me since it seems like poor branding/SEO/marketing from a couple that otherwise had a lot of helpful business tips to offer and a good amount of experience to boot. Just wanted to share this feedback in case it’s helpful. Genuinely not trying to be snarky or mean, but hoping to pass on something that might be relevant just as they did for me and my business. While I quickly realized this podcast isn’t super-relevant for me and my family, the hosts seem like a couple my husband and I would enjoy hanging out with if we happened to meet them IRL. (And I will check back in case they have another episode that is relevant).

Emily Joi.Motivating and relatable! This podcast is not only motivating and inspiring to listen to, it’s relatable to the every day family! My husband and I end up nodding our heads in agreement constantly to what Elisha and Katie are discussing but also writing quick notes on random pieces of paper for new ideas etc! We are constantly challenged, encouraged and inspired! Thank you Elisha and Katie!
-
NadiaObLove listening!I'm always so encouraged by your podcasts to be more intentional in my marriage and in raising our kids. You have sparked so many conversations with my husband. I love how everything you guys talk about is so practical and part of every day life. Also thank you for openly talking about your faith and the Gospel, you don't hear that often nowadays but people need to hear it! You guys are my favorite couple to listen to, so may the Lord bless you and help you keep the podcast going! Many blessings!

MSCABJ“I discovered these “Soul-friends” during postpartumKatie and Elisha helped me find my way back to the Lord. They were my soul-friends in a the postpartum period after our fourth baby. I listened to them every night after the house was quiet and I was up with the baby. I have since discovered Elisha’s “Now that I’m a Father” album. We play it every morning during our chore time, and just before we start our family discipleship (to included catechism- something else I discovered was missing in our homeschool mornings!) Their role-modeling has transformed our family’s home, commitments, and practice as Christians. I pray the Lord continues his work through them to spread His love for us.

Elliannaa1Encouraging podcastSuch an encouraging podcast to listen to. Discovered it about a year ago and have been listening to all the previous episodes. Recently married and welcomed our first baby- this has been so encouraging to listen to, knowing there are families that share the same values. Love the parenting and family views, definitely learned a lot and very inspiring.

uptowneastWonderful! This podcast has been such a blessing to me! My husband and I are newlyweds and I’ve learned so much about homemaking and crafting a clear vision for family through your conversations. I’m so grateful to have found your podcast and to be pointed to the word of God in each episode. 💕 I want to encourage you that you’re touching lives and growing the Kingdom of God through this ministry. I grew up in a single parent household, without my mother, and I appreciate you sharing your family’s multi-generational wisdom with your listeners. It’s inspiring and has made a real impact on my daily life. I’m excited for all that God is doing in your life and wish your family well!

I love your vibe and can totally relate to so much that you all say!! Even the stuff that I can’t relate to is so fun to hear your perspective!

jillianlorenLove themI am an advisor podcast listener, but since becoming a Christian it’s hard to find any that I resonate with and also learn A LOT from. Being new in my Christian walk, a new wife and soon to be mama, this podcast has been a lifesaver. I also love watching them on YouTube!!!
-
Les & RossLife changing, Biblical and practicalI don’t typically leave reviews but wanted to thank Elisha & Katie for being fearless in their pursuit to share Biblical values and raise the standard for today’s culture on marriage, family and parenting. This podcast has been so encouraging to me and my husband and helped us challenge our default thoughts and feelings on various topics and be more intentional about every aspect of our life. It’s been so encouraging to hear their long-term and Biblical perspective on raising children, especially having grown up in loving, godly households . I also love how they don’t apologize for holding to Biblical truths and address topics that many wouldn’t want to cover for fear of someone disagreeing or not liking them for it. People are longing for truth and authenticity, and God is using them in a beautiful way. I also LOVE how practical they are! They have encouraged me spiritually and also helped me practically with the day to day :). Thank you both! We pray you all are so blessed for the beautiful, godly inspiration you share out to families!

Caribbean_BarbieTransformedThank you so much Elijah & Katie. You are both such a blessing. This podcast is my radio show since I found your channel in November 2023 (so a few months ago). Since then my home life has drastically improved. Thank you for making a concerted effort to bring families closer to God & each other. I am & will forever be so grateful for you. My family has also been screen free for a few years now… but whatever you do please don’t stop sharing God’s word & shining your light online.

Expat FamilyGreeting from Africa!Hi guys! I love your show, you are truly living out “Let your light shine before others, that they may see the good that we do and give glory to God!” We are a black homeschooling family of 9 (seven kiddos) who moved from Detroit to Togo, West Africa and bought farmland next to a lovely quaint village in the mountains to give our kids a chance at simple and peaceful childhood. My oldest daughter is 14 and identifies with Katie - Katie is like the big sister she never had. lol My husband and I absolutely LOVE your parents. My second oldest girl said, “He’s (Chad) is so cool - he’s just like Daddy!” I’m praying for you both and please keep the content coming - for the culture.
