SoiledHobbitDa protest MTG showMy favorite MTG show hands down…I don’t know what any of you look like, but I’ve always imagined everyone recording in Brooks Brothers shirts and khakis….after hearing you all try to pronounce the names of your favorite tacos nothing changed except the khakis are now pleated

TelresfenLimited player secretly likes listening to a constructed podcast… don’t tell my LGS.This show is that guilty pleasure that you know doesn’t makes sense but you do it anyway. It’s fascinating hearing about the world of constructed magic as someone who only plays limited. I’ve been drafting since 2006 but have never played constructed and have no plans to. Really enjoy hearing the speculation, metagaming theroys, deck choices, ban list thoughts, and how modern changes with new cards. Maybe one day I’ll put some draft chaff together and made a modern deck, but they also say you can rent cards? Renting cardboard? Who knew? Constructed is a strange place and one I’ll continue to avoid, but these guys are amusing and I like the peek behind the screen into a world I knew existed but never ventured into. Loyal listener since around episode 190 but who’s counting. Ps. Now I have liked and commented, you win.

MrOwlS2Good vibes, good takesStarted listening to these gents toward the end of last year and they are a treat. They maintain a positive outlook on the game and emit just the best kind of energy with each other. Their voices are also very soothing. Also love hearing our best guy D00mwake join week after week.
-
JigqtI’m doing my partI’ve faithfully listened to this podcast since around episode 50. Easily the best modern mtg podcast and one of the best overall magic podcasts.

Mogren87A truly amazing magic podcastWhether you’re new to the competitive magic scene or a seasoned veteran, The Dive Down is your definitive source for the latest in meta and tournament discussions. With such a talented group of well-spoken individuals and guests, you will always learn something new and walk away with a variety of information that will help you choose a deck for your next local meet-up, RCQ, and beyond! Thank you for giving us such a great podcast each week, and I look forward to many more episodes to come!

KrapfaceDive DownI don’t even play MTG anymore, but I still listen.

LeilThe Authority on Modern Meta NewsThe Divedown was incredible before, but after the addition of Devon O’Donnell, aka d00mwake, the show is now my #1 listened to Podcast. I think the diverse views from the team offer spice, thoughtfulness, babies, and unique perspectives you can’t get just reading articles. Their comedic relief, dulcet smooth voices, and broad cultural palettes offer a soothing balm to an unrefined storm of reality. I love hearing about their love of Heavy Play gear, and their editing skills are top tier. If you’re going to listen to one Magic centric podcast, consider this one to be the one-stop, cool kids shop for detailed decks, trends, and entertainment. I am just waiting for them to break into MTG Tournament commentary to cement themselves as the titans of the scene.

Bryan JMA great Magic podcastI really enjoy listening to The Dive Down. The guys are personable and great to listen to. Their analysis is on point and helps me to keep up with the meta. They also would seem to just be enjoying themselves throughout their discussions. It’s a great, chill podcast. Lastly, but no less importantly, the sound mixing and editing are great. So it’s good content that feels good in the ears. Keep it up, guys!

-
WesleyjhereUndisputed #1My go to source for all things mounted warfare. The team digs deep into real issues. Is it the mount or the rider that truly wins the war?
-
Dyerwolf 916The Best Magic PodcastThe Dive Down is the best Magic podcast. It is always contains great information surrounding semi-competitive constructed formats. They team also does a great job being entertaining. Thank you!

TowntbencGreat show for Modern Magic playersThis show is great for anyone who likes modern magic. Devin coming on has been an awesome addition as well! I really enjoy the “sleeve believe heave” section of the show. The dive down also doesn’t jump on bandwagons quickly or often, so it’s nice to actually here discussions of decks while the internet is losing it over the emergency ban of the week.
-
AznNathanNot sure whyI don’t play modern nor pioneer yet I listen to this podcast. The hosts are fine but not sure why I keep listening. That Devon guy is cool.
-
FiifeuijgteIf You Play Magic, You’ll Love ThisI’ve been listening to The Dive Down for about two years now and can’t say enough great things about this show. Great insight, and hilariously fun to listen to. Keep being awesome guys! Also Shane, good game today! Tron is one heck of a deck.

Connor Beyer40 yr olds try to use the word BasedIf you like hearing about Magic: The Gathering, a digital and paper Trading card game and like hearing 40 year old dads struggle to use the term “Based” this is the show for you. Overall very funny and fun!

-
el gordo666This is a review.Love these goofballs. I greatly appreciate their positive and uplifting attitudes! Most magic podcasts are far too negative for my delicate ears.
-
DarkShivaGoodJust perfect for the modern meta and all the others 10 out of ten, and so funny
-
ChrisAbidesThese guys are cool, I guess.Magic podcast with people talking about non-Standard formats. They’re good.

Phillmatic19It’s GoodI’ve basically been listening to Magic Podcasts and only Magic Podcasts for a while, and truly, I forgot Podcasts can be both educational AND entertaining. These guys are funny and good hosts, and the episodes certainly don’t feel as long as they actually are. Would recommend to anyone who wants to keep up with the competitive scene.
-
CastleOrangeGreat podA mix of topics every episode lets you pick and choose what you’re interested in!

Jackson G SMy favorite podcastThis is the essential podcast for the casual spike.

SpsiegelThree future divorced dudes killing it.I’ve been listening to these guys since their first released. They started as three collective men of the people, and now—-now I listen to them while I slave away at dishes at 11:30 at night while my 18 month old attempts to pull out kitchen knives from the washer that I just previously put in the washing machine. The custom patreon gifts is top notch. They bought specialized deck-boxes in the hundreds to put in optimized spots in their homes and risked their marriages to give us these items. That’s not just a deck box you’re getting people, that’s hope. You wouldn’t even know that one of the hosts broadcasts from his closet in fear while the other has his future divorced bachelor pad to talk about magic. As an audiophile, I really appreciate the dedication these men provide. I personally was one of those magic players that never showered until I discovered Barrister & Mann. Now I smell like lavender and have a neckbeard that rivals Reid Dukes head of hair. Get this product. If you want the knowledge of Jarvis Yu with the good looks of Corey Baumeister whispering into your ear about a child’s card game…look no further than the Dive Down.
-
FFFREAK2787Great podcastReally enjoy listening to The Dive Down to get a better, more diverse, analysis on metas and decks in modern and some insight on pioneer. When the team also gets to have guests that are specialized are incredibly insightful. Great job guys and keep it up!
-
Thisappstinksworsethan my buttGood stuffYou keep the voices away. Thank you for your content
-
Brandor83Quality MtG ContentThe Dive Down is just an excellent way to stay connected to Magic. You’ll learn how to play with and against the latest Modern/Pioneer decks and metagame. These guys make me feel like I have a fighting chance, even if I might spend more time listening to their show than I get to spend playing events. It doesn't hurt that the hosts are just good friends with a passion for their hobby. Also, they know they could talk about soap and still be entertaining, so sometimes they just do. Keep up the great work, guys.
-
pogu59Long time listener, first time reviewerI feel particularly called out by this week’s intro. I do listen to the dive down in the shower, while out for a walk and doing the dishes. I’ve been listening since almost the beginning and I have appreciated every episode. You three keep me up to date on changes to the meta and explain how new decks play and evolve. Keep up the awesome work!
-
Sacha'sHideousLaughterGood pod tooI have been listening to this podcast for over a year and only just realized that Stanislav is not the same Stanislav that won a Modern Pro Tour with eggs… Good pod too.
-
Mark BobsterPretty Fly For Three White GuysI don’t even play Modern, but this podcast makes me feel like that’s a personal choice instead of something I could never do. Keep up the good work, my dudes.
-
Mike AyotteBest MTG Podcast for New PlayersI’ve been playing Magic for roughly 9 months now. This podcast has taught me so much about the world of Magic, competitive playing and format/deck types. I’ve tried listening to other MTG podcasts but I keep coming back to The Dive Down. Keep up the great work guys, I look forward to new episodes every week!!
-
andrewwwcantuVery informativeI love the podcast, I barely get a chance to play anything aside from commander due to work/life schedule. But I love listening to you guys and staying informed.
-
Matt in PARecommended with a WarningThis is the best competitive Magic podcast I’ve listened to, and the one I look forward to most each week. It strikes the perfect balance of spikiness and casualness. My only warning to potential listeners is to beware the deck specialist interview episodes. They have resulted in me buying into no fewer than four modern decks: Amulet Titan, Indomitable Creativity, Burn, and Living End. Thankfully, for my bank account’s sake, no one can make a Pioneer deck sound fun.
-
j c yo boiBest mtg podcast#1 horndogs
-
BDJ mtgDear Down DadsHi Dive Down Dads, I love the show, but have been very confused how you have time to practice Magic. I wake up everyday and play with my 11 month old daughter until I go to work at 1pm. How do you guys have time to play magic, record a successful podcast, and test your skills during the weekend events?
-
McMulliganGood Stuff, Annoying BitsGood analysis, good guests, good banter, but the snide potshots at Faithless Brewing are uncool, especially after you leaned on their expertise to learn the Pioneer meta. Instead, how about some friendly competition a la LR vs. LOL? Team constructed DD vs. FB on MTGO and we can see whose playmat deserves the place of honor.
