    Eddie Glaude Jr. podcast
One of the most fulfilling podcasts I have listened to on any issue. Keep up the good work, Tim.

Charging someone with a crime including grand juries? Gee whiz maybe the language you use contributes to the problem.

I cried right through this episode. I finally understand his (mis)use of his platform in 2016 and feel his regret completely. I could listen to the push back to Tim all day, but its so searingly sad that these fighters have to continue explaining, endlessly. How exhausting it must be.

Excellent discussion. I had to stop the podcast several times to process what I heard and then resume. I look forward to the future neoliberalism discussion. And loved the closing song!! And on a separate note these podcasts are next level!

Today’s episode was so exceptional, I was motivated to write a review because of it. Tim hosts a diversity of voices to weigh in on today’s chaos, but still manages to inspire through the conversations with folks like Eddie and the awesome assotment of music choices he closes the show with everyday. Exceptional.

What a fantastic and thought provoking discussion. I really resonated on 'Coalition of the Decent'. Not pearl clutching decency, but wash our faces and kick down some doors, decency. I'm here for that 💯 Keep up the great work! Big Fan

Tim is great and so was Charlie. They are principled, serious, and also funny. We must all join together to defeat the maga fascists!!

All good things day…for the Bulwark Cheers to your sound person. The audio is stellar. Crisp, clear and perfect. So many podcasts have bad sound. I love this pod! Fun, Informative and the best music playlist. Tim is smart AND funny which I need desperately at this dangerous time. Never miss. Like Tim I also keep a paper bag to breathe into nearby for the upcoming election. Yikes! B NC

For continuity after Charlie left, introducing great topics and guests, and the music! Please take care - this is a marathon and we all need to keep our energy, enthusiasm and passion in run-up to this election. Pat

    New Favorite Pod
I always love hearing what Tim has to say—even when I disagree with it. I really liked the ones hosted by Charlie but loving Tim’s take as host.

    LOVE TIM!
TIm is doing a great job! Sykes was good but Tim is on another level. I love this show but have to skip the days with Bill Krystol. Please avoid having him on

Myself a 77 year old retired Union Boilermaker, lifelong Democrat, I appreciate his honesty and candor. This country has always been two parties, which always worked thur issues. But at the end of the day it was always civil. This country must overcome the challenges of today. He’s certainly a beacon of hope for our country to get back to sanity. He gives me hope for our future.👍🏽⚖️🇺🇸

    Bill Kristol is so boring
I know he’s an important and knowledgeable guy but his tangents, long windedness, and voice put me to sleep or when he speaks I fast forward. Does he have to come on every Monday? Couldn’t he be a much less frequent guest?

    Great Podcast
Dear Tim, “we are not getting through this election with Joe Biden”, because this election is over, and Biden lost. You guys just sound like fools, and you certainly don’t sound sincere as to Biden having a legitimate chance of winning. I listen to a lot of liberal podcasts, and I have to wonder: do these people really believe the nonsense coming out of their mouths, or is it all just a con job to collect a paycheck There is ZERO evidence that suggests Biden will win and a boatload of evidence that says Trump will win. Dems have become a dirty diaper. The majority of people just don’t like us. Sure they may hate Trump, but they’ll give him a second chance rather than vote for a Dem. The sad part for the Dems is Biden is probably the best candidate we have.

Center right here, 66, miss Charlie but I’m enjoying Tim’s refresh on topics, his kind and hip way of talking, and the playlist. Good job. I’ll save it for the 3rd time, read Kevin Phillips book American Theocracy

We live in n insane time and I really appreciate this pod and the others from TB. I feel like I’m listening to friends even though you guys came from across my political persuasion. But I appreciate hearing your insights and I agree a lot with your thoughtful opinions. I love Tim, Sarah and yes, JVL is my spirit animal! Keep up the wonderful work!

    Happy to have tuned in
Having seen Tim a lot on MSNBC, I wasn’t expecting to learn much new about him or his perspective. But his interview with Bakari Sellers was deeply satisfying. I learned a lot about both men. What a great conversation. Look forward to hearing more.

Tim is such a thoughtful and funny host.
As a longtime lib, it’s all too easy to embrace pur newly ex-gop comrades. But Tim isn’t just a fellow anti-Trumper; he is genuinely thoughtful and willing to reevaluate his own priors. The friendly funny tone may help listeners do the same.

    The 2024 election
In my opinion, and I do politics all day every day and was an activist for seven years with postcards to voters and learned about every race in fifty states, Trump has no path to victory. There is going to be a massive rage vote on two fronts: women’s healthcare rights and Trump hate. 2020 was just Trump hate and we stomped him. People who claim that race was close are wrong blah blah blah seven battleground states. Look at the win streak the Democrats are on since 2018. That is anti Trump. Look at how we turned Georgia. This is pre Dobbs. People are paying attention to the monster that Trump is. He has no shot. 15% of Republicans are going to either stay home or vote for Biden. That does it for Trump. All the Democrats need to do is be who they are which is the party for everyone. The votes in the Republican primaries shows exactly what Simon Rosenberg says!!!! They are a dumpster fire and are broke. I love your podcast Tim you are killing it. Great guests.
  • Arlie20
    Great podcast!
I appreciate Tim and all Bulwark staff for providing information that is verifiable. I don’t want my media to lie to me and Tim’s a straight shooter with a moral compass. I’m a center-left type and appreciate having my views challenged with integrity.

A pod for the politically homeless
I have to confess that Tim Miller is my political social media crush, so I am not going to pretend this is an objective review. Tim has done a fantastic job taking over for Charlie Sykes and injected a fresh energy into the show. Among my favorite “Timifications”: - More debate and lively interviews with guests who offer a very different viewpoint - Awesome musical outros to close the show (waiting for you to throw some Sound of Music in there to honor Charlie, Tim) - More swearing - let’s face it, modern times sometimes can only be accurately captured with some profanity - Gay stuff! I’m not gay, but it’s good to hear more gay stuff talked about in a way that’s just normal, aka, just regular life stuff - Mail bag If you have a R next to your name on your voter registration, but you haven’t contracted authoritarian brain worms, it’s hard to find a political home these days. The Bulwark pod is a nice reminder that there’s a bunch of us out there. If I had one quibble with this pod is that sometimes the production is lacking; segments are occasionally repeated in a weird loop or the commercials get inserted in the wrong place.

    Love Tim Miller
I loved Charlie Sykes, but Tim Miller is just a wonderful spicy treat each day. Funny, smart, challenging, irreverent, appropriately pessimistic about our fellow humans, and great taste in music.

    Was a must listen
I previously rated this podcast as a 5 star must listen podcast. Since Charlie retired, the quality and attitude of the podcast has rapidly deteriorated. Charlie was a true classic conservative that brought in a wide perspective and terrific guest. That has passed and is no longer the case. Tim Miller is smart but is not cut to be a host. He was always one of the best guests and an occasional host on Charlie’s podcast. He is not cut out to be a long term host. The feel of the podcast now is all doom and gloom. If you listen to list podcast now and believe what they say, the world has already ended and we have no hope. The first few episodes in the new format were depressing. I kept holding hope that they would correct the message but after several months there is no longer any hope that this would continue to be the “flagship podcast” of The Bulwark. Instead it’s just a flagging ship podcast. I hope they can find a a better host and message.

    Gaza and Tim
Dude is so out of touch. He fancies himself enlightened from his conversion to center but demonizes anyone that thinks the death of 30,000 Palestinians is an atrocity. He paints anyone with dissent against Israel as extreme, hyperbolic or “the campus left”. That analysis is very 2002 and goes to show that’s someone like Tim, who thinks he has woken up, still in essence belongs to the blob and establishment group think. Wake up tim. Majority of Americans do not support this.

    Tim Miller Makes a Difference
I had stopped listening to the pod after the 11/29 show with Charlie & Michael Steele’s take on political kink. That was some real ok boomer embarrassment. Now that Tim Miller is hosting, I’m back and loving the show.
  • Cardinal4549
Really miss Charlie, Tim Miller can be good but please no Olivia Nuzzi
The show is very different with Tim Miller as the new host. It’s mostly good with interviews with serious people, good questioning and discussions by Tim. Olivia Nuzzi drags the show down. She’s been on twice within about a week and now there’s talk that she’ll be a regular. She’s juvenile, giggly, snarky, gossipy, self-promoting and brings little substance to the show. Please bring real journalists or lawyers on to discuss the Trump trials.
  • A-RON7
    Missing Charlie
Charlie in the hosting position was a daily must-listen for me. His level-headed takes on the news of the day helped keep me informed without feeling enraged. Tim’s contrarian insistence on “arguing” with far right guests is tiresome and not helpful for keeping the pulse on where the country is going in an election year. His proud embrace of having Peter Pan Syndrome - and repeatedly reminding guests and listeners of it - is just sad, weirdo behavior.

“Sucked the salt from their bodies…?”
Had to chuckle about this line from the transcript. Maybe a New Orleans drawl is creeping in and making transcription tricky. And I am perfectly content watching the Lakers lose, even if it is at the hand of the Nuggets. As a Jazz fan whose team doesn’t even know how to tank correctly, I struggle with benevolence for nearby teams who have reached the pinnacle. Que será. I never miss an episode. Keep it up Tim.

    Song suggestion…
Tim, right on with your takes…and the music…and the music…and the music. Bob Dylan’s version of “stormy weather” for obvious reasons…it would kill. Thanks. jcat

Tim Miller has brought new life to the Bulwark
I loved Charlie, but Tim Miller has brought a new refreshing life to The Bulwark Podcast. Tim is not only smart and witty, but he is attempting to bring in a multitude of perspectives to the table, even ones that he disagrees with. He is working to channel curiosity and constructive dialogues, that helps us better understand the political landscape we’re currently living in, not just double down on the rage machine.
  • JVL-is-Often-Right
In my opinion, Tim Miller isn’t working out
Loved the podcast when Charlie Sykes hosted. No longer listen now that Tim Miller hosts it. Miller decided to make radical changes to the show pretty much immediately. These changes have so altered the podcast that it’s no longer recognizable as The Bulwark. I get it: he loves to debate the crazy. But the appeal of The Bulwark (for me) always rested on the fact that it offered a momentary *respite* from the crazy; an idiot-free zone. Well, so much for that! Also, he just lacks the gravitas and humility of Charlie Sykes. Anyway, so long Bulwark. RIP. All good things come to an end.

    Tim Miller, secret liberal!
Love Tim’s wit, compassion, analytical sharpness, personal frankness and unrelenting Anti-Trumpness. Still struggling to understand how he and other smart former GOP operatives did not see the underlying lies, hypocrisy and wing nuttery of the GOP until Trump yanked off the veil. Keep exposing us to principled perspectives across the political spectrum!

50 minute show is really 25-30 due to ads and fluff
I like Tim. He’s arrogant enough to assume the host chair and he fills it very well. Charlie was awesome and truly “old school,” with the golden radio voice. Tim doesn’t have that, but he’s got a lot of connections and admits when he falls short (as he said to JVL in the Douthat interview). ALL THAT SAID: why 2 stars? The ads! It’s absolutely INSANE! This WAS my shower podcast…until the ad blocs became 10 minutes in length and they decided to plunk 2 down in the midpoints of the show. They aren’t even discrete ads, it’s the same 2-3 that repeat several times in a bloc: nicotine pouches, “pajama class” zoom/ms teams knockoff software, etc. It absolutely ruins the flow of the show and no, I don’t want to pay for bulwark plus. On top of all that: the music at the end further wastes my time. If I wanted a music podcast, that’s what I’d listen to. Perhaps Tim can share his play lists Obama style somewhere for those who care? TLDR: keep the skip button handy if you want to listen to this, and prepare to get arthritis using it. It’s a shame because there are interesting guests and content at times. But the formatting, ego and money grubbing are over the top.

    Bulwark Tim Miller
Miller is doing a good job bringing in interesting guests but he should be aware that listeners are tuning in to hear the guests, not Tim Miller. His opinions are facile and annoying. Side aside, Mr Miller and let us listen to your guests who for the most part are much more educated and experienced than you.

Trump tore up the Obama Iran nuclear weapons treaty
I don’t think I’ve heard anyone mention that the Obama Nuclear treaty with Iran was working and then Trump tore it up. Sanctions were slowly being lifted for Iran and they were playing ball, letting inspectors into country to see if Iran was indeed dismantling much of nuclear program. If the inspections had continued would Iran attacked Israel? Could the US and Israel been more friendly after nine years of working together dismantling the nuclear program? Trump tore up the treaty for optics because there was no reason to do it. Now we have Israel saying they’re going to retaliate when there was injury and of course Iran will retaliate and that’s how wars start. Yes it’s on trump

I come here for hope and understanding
Usually I find it here at The Bulwark. Listening today, I leave confused and a wee bit afraid. What a weird window to glimpse a republican ideology. I’ll be back but not for this guest. You were great, Tim, as always. And …God didn’t judge you. 😎

4/16 show heartbreaking and thought provoking
Can’t say enough about this episode. I agree with Tim so often I frequently do not listen. But this was like watching Jacob wrestle with God.
