    Great show, needs improved sound/mic!
You have great information! But honestly it’s hard to listen to. Your mic pops and crackles often. It doesn’t help to turn it down because then we can’t hear you! Please consider investing in and researching a better mic and sound mixer to create an optimal listen experience.

    Training hour in young gymnast
Hi! Love the podcast! I’m the mom of a 9yr old level 3 gymnast. This podcast has helped me when I’ve been curious about gymnastic question. I just scroll through and find an episode that fits what I’m curious about. It doesn’t always apply to my daughter because she’s a lower level gymnast but knowledge is power. This episode helped in answering mine and my husband’s questions whether or not we should have our daughter play another season of softball and soccer.

    Love! Question though :)
Loving the show so far! Curious though…when you say screen the gymnast splits with a PT…so you have resources to find one where I live in Dallas area? Thanks!!

    Terrific conversations and ideas!
Wonderful content on a wide variety of subjects! I always learn something new, and the common sense delivery is appreciated. I especially like how Dr. Tilley is transparent about what he doesn’t know, and is open to accepting new ideas, and is honest about his own growth and learning from past mistakes. Our industry and the athletes he works with is better because of what he contributes.

    So awesome!
I stepped away from coaching gymnastics for 10 years to have kids and a focus on my family and I have recently started again and I am so happy to have all the amazing information that Dave has available to us on his podcast. I really wish this podcast had been around 10 years ago. All the information he shares is truly invaluable and I am so grateful to have found this amazing resource and that he is helping to make the gymnastics community a more wholistically safe place for gymnasts by helping educate coaches.

    Dr. Dave Tilley is awesome
I have been listening to all of the podcasts and reading all of Dave’s materials on Shift and his Hero Lab as they are highly informative to us coaches as to strength and conditioning training in order to prevent overuse injuries, positive coaching methodologies and physical therapies for helping our gymnasts through painful injuries and their comebacks. The podcasts are always high quality in production but most importantly in the guest speakers he has on. His books are at times tedious unless you are in the medical field and his strength and conditioning lingo is difficult to decipher, but in the end with his YouTube videos showing the movements, they kick your coaching skills up several notches!

    Good
Loved your interview with Kyla, Madison and val. so enjoyable. Focus more on the east coast too for college gymnastics. Just needed a whole podcast with Kyla and Madison focusing on elite level. I Watch elite much more cause it’s very on the edge and on your seat a lot. Scoring is so much tougher. Kyla and Madison were excellent to follow and watch their journey to the olympics.

Excellent Podcast Combining Aspects of Gymnastics
This hidden gem is an excellent resource for coaches, gymnasts, athletes, and owners, covering various aspects of the complex sport of gymnastics from the mental, physical, and culture of the sport. Great show!
Hello. I just listened to the Doc Ali show with my gymnasts, ages 9 and 12. Great show. As a parent, I appreciate hearing your perspective as well as Doc Ali’s because often parents aren’t quite sure how to talk to their gymnasts about their struggles and this show gave me some great ideas about how to help with anxiety and positive thinking, motivation, etc. I love the idea of developing humans first and gymnasts second. Thanks and I plan to listen to your other shows ASAP!

    Awesome Resource for Coaches
Super helpful and insightful. I recently graduated college with an exercise science degree and have been coaching gymnastics for about 7 years. The podcast shows how to apply many of concepts from strength and conditioning and injury prevention in a gymnastics setting. The podcast is well constructed too. No extra fluff, he gets right to the point.

    Great information! Must listen!
I am in awe every time I listen or read articles from Dave. It’s mind blowing all the information he has and how helpful it is. I share his information all the time with various coaches from many sports and activities. I wish everyone would follow him and help our athletes achieve greatness and keep healthy bodies. My son and one of his good friends were just recently diagnosed with having bilateral pars fractures and somehow found Dave in the mix and he has been so helpful and kind padding down some great information to us. Don’t miss out on listening to him!
