I found this podcast from Cathrine’s YouTube channel which alone helps me so much. I’m in college for a WDV major, currently taking my first JS class and learning about frameworks and all the stuff that’s supposed to make coding easier. I often get really overwhelmed by all of the information I’m taking in at once and sometimes discouraged. But for some reason, the information sinks in a lot easier when hearing from these two! I’m currently working on building my portfolio so that I can feel confident in applying for an internship, so I’m finding these podcast episodes very helpful for where I’m at right now.

The podcasts are very helpful and fun. You guys are amazing. Keep doing what you’re doing.

Whenever someone asks which podcast to listen to, I always mention this podcast from Kathryn and Robyn. Its so informative and upbeat. Sometimes when you listen to something it can sound dull or slow but that isn't an issue here. I look forward to their episodes!

I’m currently in the process of getting my computer science degree, this podcast answers random questions I had and some that I didn’t know I had. Lots of information and insight from two industry professionals, from technical terms to what to expect at a job.

It took a long time for me to decide what I wanted to do in life. When I finally did, I was constantly battling with imposter syndrome and doubts because of my age. Podcasts like the Programmer Toolbox are a great place for me to listen to others and I find myself reassured in my decision. Keep up the great work!!

All the time it seems like people that I’ve met in my tech career had a completely computer science-consumed childhood and that has made me afraid I’m not a good fit for a programmer. These ladies and their descriptions of how they found their careers in programming makes me feel SO MUCH BETTER and so much more capable. Thanks so much for everything! I enjoy listening to podcast mostly when they are helpful for newbies like me. I live in Manhattan and I’m trying to switch careers and all the info I can get is great for me. I've listened to a lot of podcasts where the hosts take a long time to get to the topic, meander far away from it, and are generally self-indulgent. This is not one of those podcasts! They give a lot of information in a short period of time, but they have a relaxed, friendly tone. They are very good at explaining topics in an organized, compact but thorough way.

So glad that I was able to come across this podcast, I am just starting my development roadmap and this is going to make my life that much easier. Thank you!

Going to tell the truth. I have never, ever listed to a podcast before; this is my first and until now it is awesome. I feel at home just listened talking about coding even if i need to step up a bit. Keep at it girls :)

Informative, and to the point. My only gripe might be that they at some points, they do sound a little scripted at times. That'll probably dissipate once they get more comfortable.

Hello ladies, This is a wonderful podcast to learn and listen to. The tips to learn about CS is very informative and influential. I do have a Software Engineering degree, but I still feel like there’s still more things to learn about. When I actually got my first aha moment when the print screen command said “Hello World!”, it was that wonderful moment for me to soak in. Thank you for sharing your experience too! I will have to add the Udemy class on my wishlist to start up on.

Awesome ideas. There needs to be more references like this that bridge the gap between a CS major and a software engineer in the industry!

Informative for a college drop out newbie coder like myself. I listen to a good amount of podcasts and I found that the audio wasn't as good as others. Granted I'm comparing the quality to npr and other big names but I was wondering if other felt the same.

I’m currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science, but as someone who struggles with depression, there are times when I lose myself and feel that I have no place in the industry or anywhere at all. I always find myself heading over to IG for inspiration from these two lovely gals as well as all of the other wonderful women in tech. I’m grateful to have this podcast to listen to; it’s another place I can find knowledge and motivation. Thank you!
