    A gift
I’ve just begun the journey with my almost 3yr. Old with no formal diagnosis and listening to this podcast has been helpful A ton as I try to navigate and advocate for my son. I’m thankful to listen as you share Your story and it’s opened my eyes to things I never considered (like the benefits of not trying to shoulder everything)

Someone that feels like me and not feel bad about it
My 5 year old daughter is autistic and I’ve known since she was 8 months old. In the beginning my family and friends dismissed my concerns. I’ve felt so alone, guilty, angry, and resentful - helpless. Jody’s podcast has completely touched my heart and jolted my negativity and depression BACK into being a great mom for my daughter instead of focusing on the negative, I’ve been re-training my brain and focusing on the positive. I need to be 1000% so I can be 2000% for my daughter. This podcast has helped me SO much.

    Awesome interview
I loved the interview with Val... she is an Amazing Mom and I hope I am a mother to my 2 with ASD like she is when they get older. Jess is great and I love her. My two older kids remind me of Hannah and I hope the have that bond when they become adults. Jody thanks so much for doing these. Seeing the lives of other Austin parents is wonderful. I just adore your family. Remy is just the cutest little one.. hugs

    Great for special needs parents
A thorough and thoughtful podcast about the real life struggles, challenges, and joys of life with special needs kiddos. I have two special needs kids and two typical kids. Jody does a great job covering a variety of topics and giving ideas to others on how to connect and help their kids interact more fully with the world around them. This would be a great listen for family and friends of special needs families who want an inside view and perspective of this kind of life. Sometimes it’s hard to explain these struggles to others, but Jody breaks it down to better understand and bring us all closer together.

    Real. Inspiring. Calming. Relatable.
I wish I had this podcast when I first seen those early signs of autism. She talks about it all. All the stages you go through. How it’s OKAY to go through them and the many blessings autism has to bring. I find this so relatable and her voice is so soothing and you feel like you’re just sitting with your best friend talking about your feelings.

Jody! Everytime when I listen to your Podcast it amazes me everytime. You speak the truth and are so real and vulnerable, and that's something a lot of people are not in this world. You have an authenticity in your voice. I have learned so much about seizures and autism. I am so proud of this podcast and YOU!. People need to hear you and what you have to say. I can't wait for where this journey will take you. Hugs!

    Loving this podcast
Can I rate my own podcast? Yes you say? Why thank you, don't mind if I do.😉 This podcast is for the mom who finds herself doing motherhood completely different than she pictured. The mom who thought life was going one way and then the diagnosis happened. Her child has autism, or epilepsy or adhd and she has to figure out how to throw out all the parenting rules she's grown up with. It's for the mom who is looking to cope. Who's looking for some guidance. Who just wants to find happiness and to know she's not doing as bad as she thinks. It's for the mom who loves her child so much and wants to envision a life of happiness for her child. It's for the mom who would do anything and everything to see her child smile. If your this mom, this podcast is for you. I'm so glad you stopped by. I've been waiting to meet you. With so much love, Jody

You are doing an OUTSTANDING job!
While my children do not have a disability or suffer from seizures, this podcast has been so insightful as a mom. I’ve also enjoyed learning more about your family’s journey. Thank you for being so transparent and giving the gift of truth❤️

    Instantly fell in love.
I love your podcast! I randomly found you this morning and I’ve been binge listening all day. The first episode was about anger and grieving and it helped me so much today. I have a 5 year old daughter named Marley with autism and epilepsy as well. It’s crazy! I have a 15 month old boy. Also I heard you mention in a different intro that your daughter has a rare genetic condition. Marley has 2q37.3 gene deletion syndrome that caused her autism and epilepsy. Thank you for your kind inspiring words. It definitely helped me from exploding all my built up anger and ruining a valued relationship with some family Members today.
