China hawk since 1999 What happened to new episodes?

Some good reporting, but the knee jerk reaction to everything the PRC government and CCP do is simplistic. No system is totally bad or good. Just as it’s false to claim that everything in China is good, ignoring the positives in Communist China means that when this podcast legitimately criticises things, it doesn’t have a lot of credibility. This, after all, is just the reverse of what it accuses the Chinese press of doing.

Well done! A very incisive interview that was news-making in its own right. Questions were insightful without overwhelming Lord Patten’s fascinating first-hand narrative. Thank you.

This show is so great. They have on very knowledgeable guests. My favorite shows are when the “Three Amigos” ;) just sit and debate a topic. Its good to hear the thoughts flow and not be scripted. Keep up the fight.

You heard me! Chris is a master at working in esoteric Battle Star Galactica references and trivia into depression coverage of the CCP.

Definitely a conversation with opinions, new info and facts from other guests gives this podcast a 5 star that it deserves to get the ball rolling to taking a stand against the CCP and their atrocities.

To the point. Harsh truths made palatable by humor.

The world keeps doing business with China, keeps letting the CCP influence grow and tries to ignore they are dealing with a Communist Hitler of the 21st century - We don’t notice him because his tanks are not rolling into battle, his bombs are not dropping on cities, but his money buys politicians, his fentanyl destroy lives, his network controls the functioning of ports, electrical grids, spies on and threatens those who have fled his wrath and spreads lies to distort public opinion; his companies have a near monopoly on critical materials and fear of offending him can quiet our leaders, our movie makers and our news editors. Three hosts expose the global reach of the CCP and its flaws in eye-opening interviews. Will they reach enough people in time or will the world slowly acquiesce into a CCP led global collective? Your choice.

I am not a China apologist; I am someone looking to continue to get better informed. I find the hosts lazy. The female host often gives examples, evidence and data to support what she says. The male hosts often cut her off or change the subject while she is thinking after they have asked a question. The male hosts often make unsubstantiated statements. Why refer to a past guest as “that guy from“? Shouldn’t the listener hear his name? If the communist party truly doesn’t like divorce and fines it makes it harder to control the populace, where is the evidence — even anecdotal? The show could be more information rich and therefore much more powerful if the hosts did more homework. The two male hosts often refer to incidents in global terms and then rely on the female host to provide the date, the specifics, or a correction about what actually happened. Maybe they aren’t really that useful to the show in that case. This could be a much more important offering with a little more preparation and listening to one another among the hosts

Love the show but for the love of God....... Stop saying "like". You diminish your cedibility when you speak as a teenage girl.

Not always dense with info or tangible examples. Beware of 1 star ratings. Looks like folks who dislike their parent organization, but has nothing to do with the content of this podcast. I’d honestly rate 2.5-4.0 stars, but 5 to compensate for those shills.

I’ve been watching Chapel for half a decade now, tolerating his and his co-hosts’ attempts at humor and marveling at his uniqueness in his field. This is a real nerd, and I’m glad he and his team are doing longform now. Despite the one episode a couple months ago when two men, like myself, couldn’t seem to let the woman (or female-sounding) host make a point, unconsciously it seemed in a comedy contest for worst failure at worst geek joke, all the dang episode, I think this is a very respectful and always brave podcast, like everything else Chapel has been a part of. Really, let me real real after all that: he is an indispensable voice in an unprecedented time for our species. We just might have to roll our eyes at the humor sometimes, is all. I just listened to my first episode, and really enjoyed it. I will be listening to the rest. I wouldn’t expect you to devote a whole episode to this topic, but sometime would you address your feelings about companies that hire English speakers to tutor Chinese children in English? This week the Chinese government issued some new regulations to try to ease pressure on children studying for tests, which is causing some of these companies to feel threatened as far as continuing to operate.Teachers are fearing losing their online jobs, as well. I’m just wondering what you think about the new regulations and overall about companies who hire English speakers to tutor Chinese children. Thanks!

Very informative! I just sent an email to my Rep Anna Eshoo to hear what she is doing to protect us from reliance on China. And, what is she and other Congress Members doing to address and expose dangerously lax quality control of our drugs made in China.

"What Happens if China Takes Over the World" is a very interesting topic of conversation which attracted me to this podcast. However just after listening the first several minutes of disscution about "Vaccine Diplomacy", I stoppoped the playing. And I seriously doubted the professionalism of the host and guests! They said there was a mysterious fire in a vaccine factory in India.They thought the fire was started deliberately by Chinese goverment because the expanding vaccine production, because India was the competitor and impediment to China in terms of "Vaccine Diplomacy". I was really shocked to hear this from a seemingly expertised podcast. Firstly, these guys used "Sabotage" to define the event. However, This is more than sabotage if it's true. IT IS TERRORISM! Chinese communist party may control the mind of the people. There is no way they are terrorist! Where are the conspiracy theory coming from? Because the government of United States itselt has been a terrorist and a liar, they changed American people into conspiracy theorist. Just remember how US faked the deadly weapon by using a bag of white powder and invaded Iraq!Chinese goverment has a lots of way to enhance the infuence on the asian countries. But being terrorist is not included. And using such a lame deduction to discuss China is not only a shame for a podcaster, but also the humiliation for the listeners! Secondly, India has become the hotbed of Covid19 virus mutation one of which is reporteddly so dangerous that probably none of the currently availabe vaccines work. Recently, everyday over 300k people are infected by the virus , and the medical resources are so limited that the oxygen is even running out! At the same time, in the podcast these guys said India want to use the same "Vaccine Diplomacy" to compete with China! How ridiculous!

A sobering assessment of the state of Taiwan and its ability to maintain sovereignty. During my eight years in China, the Communist Party government made it well known that they regarded Taiwan as a renegade, breakaway province. They covet Taiwan's prosperity and are set on "reunification" by hook or by crook. The Taiwanese are fiercely independent, and they will fight to the bitter end to resist becoming a Communist state. I hope the United States will encourage the Taiwanese government to strengthen its military, and stand beside that lovely democratic nation so it doesn't get gobbled up by the Dragon of the East.

I’ve been an avid China Uncensored fan since 2013. With the podcast as a compendium piece to the show you are truly able to get a deep dive into the topics at hand. China is a THREAT not only to the US, but the world. The atrocities committed there have been going on way too long and the world has been complicit in them for far too long. Do whatever you can as a citizen of not just your respective nation but of this world to stop the onslaught. Start by Voting with your wallet. That’s where their power lies. Stop buying Chinese and fueling their economy. I want to commend Chris, Shelly, and Matt for nearly a decade of dedication in getting their message across to the globe. Thank you so much for opening my eyes and hopefully of whom ever your shows come across. God bless and keep up the hard work.

People in China can’t subscribe to this podcast, nor load episodes of it. The Great Firewall of CCP blocks Chinese ppl from most of the Internet, but this is Tim Apple, helper of the dictatorship, censor of free speech, gold digger and liar.

The CCP is evil and these guys aren’t afraid to say that. 5 stars!

I’m starting to believe that China’s only focus is to pave the way for Han supremacy.

The topics and the speakers are interesting, and the moderators are generally knowledgeable on a range of China related topics. I get wanting to keep the show lighthearted with a few jokes here and there, since the topics discussed are serious and often very bleak, but as a listener a joke every five minutes is just annoying and at times it feels disrespectful to the speakers. Finally I get the moderators are berating each other for fun, but some of the jokes, particularly about Shelley (who’s the most competent of the three) just make me cringe.

It’s hard to find good info on China, but the China Uncensored/unscripted cast do it well. The humor they use is great, with out humor the subject would be unbelievably despressing.

Since our media doesn’t delve into China as heavily as China uncensored does, they seem extremely authoritative. Their communication skills are above average. But their experts can include “journalists” from the wacky epoch times. It is basically Alex Jones in Wall Street journal drag.

I have watched Chris, Shelly, and Matt for years even before I came to China 5 years ago. While the YT channel provides short bursts of information with a dose of humor, this podcast provides a better format to share their insights. The guests are thought provoking and well informed about a wide variety of issues involving China. If you want to hear a variety of viewpoints concerning the current state of the CCP, Socialism with Chinese Characteristics, or human rights issues, you will either love or hate this podcast. Still, with the current state of media and journalism, it is vital to listen to a variety of voices in order to consider all the angles. Keep up the good work!

One of my favorite podcasts. I lived in China for several years, and I’m terrified how little the world knows about the happenings there. So I’m trying to do my part to keep people informed, and this podcast (and their YouTube channel), give me added tools to inform my friends in China and abroad.

I love this podcast. I first found Chris chappel on YouTube with China uncensored and it sparked my interest in China and the Chinese Communist Party. Now I absolutely love learning about the subject and I adore the hilarious brand of sarcasm that Chris employs in his explanations. I also feel much more informed on global issues as China has their hands in almost everything so this is a great way to get your news from an unbiased source who does not bend at the knee to the ccp or the military industrial complex like most multinational organizations do nowadays.

When no one else would speak, China uncensored rose up to the challenge. I’ve been following this group for 2 years now and watching their following grow despite consistent adversity from YouTube such as being shadow banned, randomly unwillingly unsubscribing people, and demonetizing 90% of their videos; they continue to work hard to bring China’s malpractices to light. The level of persistence that they maintain in the name of transparency and democracy is truly inspiring. I always do everything I can to help the channel through advertising for them online, telling my friends about them, and contributing to their Patreon account. To support China Uncensored is to support the freedoms that so many people are willing to risk their lives for!

The show is pretty good. China’s awful party provides great content. And the women on their podcast staff, sounds cute and thin. When you see her on YouTube she looks like a fat Asian troll man. What a front.. watta cat fish

This has to be one of the best Podcasts around. The Youtube channel you all dont know and probably would love has come to an IOS device way to near your skin to avoid cancer. Matt the beautiful, Shelly the Wise, and Chris the Host give in-depth guide to what is happening in Modern China in a way that will keep you from removing this from auto download list. Plus they are devoted to the views in ways that can be summed up in the Trip they made to Hong Kong to reveal things that other Major news could not even touch with their Drones and countless employees. In total Great Podcast that has way to many forces keeping it down.

Great job covering topics that are not that mainstream. I loved their YouTube show and always wanted them to move to a podcast format. Glad they did and hearing the quality of the content and more involvement from the rest of the crew (Shelley and Matt) they didn’t disappoint, keep it up! The episode with guest Joshua Phillip was excellent!

The recent episode with Joshua Philipp Was very fascinating, much of the information he talked about I had some understanding of however his information was very expensive. Regarding universal income in the United States it will never work because the minute you pay people more money the landlords will just jack up the price of rent.
