    Best in the Business!
Jerry and Tarheel are the nations leaders in REAL canine psychology and training. You won’t find a ‘dog podcast’ with more knowledge, wisdom, or value.

    Golden information for dog training
I lost count a long time ago for how many times I have recommended both the podcast and the book, Controlled Aggression. It is an amazing introduction and guide for anyone looking to get a shepherd/malinois or anyone looking to do protection training with their dog, whether it’s civil or sport or both. No other book or podcast clearly outlines all the details from basic to complex with regards to these types of dogs and the training. I not only listen to the podcast, I re-listen to episodes REGULARLY. I am constantly learning new things from these episodes. The podcast episodes can be applicable to anyone interested in k-9 work but also pet training! The amount of golden information in each episode is incredible.

    Best K9 podcast out there…
Not only is Jerry’s voice SUPER relaxing, his podcast provides important perspectives on k9 performance and training. Can’t believe this information is free…hope I didn’t just jinx it. Definitely check out the Tarheel website and buy the Controlled Aggression book.

    LOVE
Absolutely LOVE this podcast. It is packed with SO much information. You could probably listen ten times and not catch everything. As a PSA competitor this information is invaluable, but I also love learning more about detection, LEO work, and everything else discussed in these episodes. Thank you for doing what you do!

    Love this
I look forward to every podcast Jerry puts out. Even if it is in an area I don’t train in. He gets relight to the heart of the matter. No bantering out nonsense talking. Clear information. You can tell he has a history in the education field. Keep up the great work Jerry

    Best K9 Training podcast!
If you’re looking for good information on K9 Training, you’ve come to the right place. I’ve been a K9 Handler now for 16 years and started my initial training at Tarheel Canine under the direction of Jerry Bradshaw. I’ve been back to Tarheel for my recertifications and I enjoy it every time. I am working my second dog from Tarheel and not only does Jerry have great dogs, he is a walking book of knowledge and great instructor and he also has great instructors working for him. I highly recommend this podcast!!!

    Great info
If you are involved in any aspect of high intensity dog training, LE or sport, this is a great podcast for you. Not only does it provide good functional information but Jerry gives a lot of inspiration as well. Train hard, be safe!

    New to dog training
Hello, I am self taught I have done tons of research on different training styles. I started training my Mal with Mike Ritland I found his approach very interesting in getting the dog to want to do what you want with motivation. And when I came across tarheel canine there approach is similar. There is a lot of great information in the podcast and can’t wait to get the book. I can’t wait to see if I am able to get my mal at a competition level. She won’t be able to compete as she isn’t registered. But if all goes well and I can get my confidence up to competition level I would like to find a breeder most likely tarheel canine to get a dog that I can try and get titles with. Keep up the good work I will be joining the patron accountant for more info.

Great for civilians looking to get into dog sports
I’ve been struggling to find a podcast that is for civilians as well as LE. I’m someone that wants to get into PSA and this podcast does a great job covering that.

    Awesome
Not only does this podcast have really exciting content, it’s exceptionally easy to listen to. I am picky about my radio, but I have been hooked and have listened to more hours of this in the last week than anything else. Inspiring, exciting, and extremely informational. Really well done!
  • Doc Martin Music
    Clear evidence-based guidance
Some of the clearest explanations of training progressions I’ve seen/heard to date. As a new trainer/handler, this podcast has been invaluable resource. While he clearly has a ton of experience, he goes beyond anecdotes and appeals to authority to offer science-based guidance anchored in learning theory. Listen, process, repeat...

  • White Beard K9
    Informative and thought provoking
As always Jerry provides great content expressed in a clear concise manner. His training style has always resonated with me. If you have a working dog you owe it to yourself and your dog to give the podcast a listen.

    Amazing!
Educational and entertaining! You normally would have to pay good money to receive the education you’ll get from listening to this show. I would honestly pay a monthly subscription.

    Awesome info
As a k9 handler this information is awesome!!!! Thank you for sharing all that great knowledge.

    Surprising
Just finished the Q&A podcast. It’s funny that I have been to several trials at your venue and have attempted to speak to you and you have never said a word to me or anyone I have traveled there with nor has any of your employees. Have seen you at K9 conferences and it’s much of the same. Seems very clicky with tarheel and your club which is surprising since it is where psa started.
  • Jaguar Rrrrrrrrr
    Fantastic content and that voice!!
Awesome. Can hardly pass the time between episodes! I want to start a fan club!!
  • Batpigdog
    The best
This is by far the best there is for giving information on not only how to train step by step but also the problems you may run into and what to do about them. Absolutely great, thanks for putting it out there.
