Perfect! I hate horror, but I like to hear the story.
I could never be as brave a Tod, what a brave brave person making brave brave choices.

    Hard on the ears…
Decent horror content but the hosts yell the whole episode, only taking breaks to scream-sing or have fits of over the top forced-laughter.
  • UnfamiliarGroundSquirrel
The only podcast I listen to with any regularity!
I exclusively refer to DiGiorno pizza as Desjardins now. Thank you for that.😌🍕🐍

    Thank you!
I came here after being a loyal listener to Cult Podcast and really enjoying Mikey and Todd when they guest starred. I am a scaredy-cat and wasn’t able to watch horror movies, but I was so interested in what the genre was doing with movies like Get Out and Hereditary. I love that they give a play by play and I can listen to the episode first and understand what I’m getting myself into. I actually can watch horror movies now and I really appreciate all of your perspectives!

    Best horror recap/review podcast
Thank you for doing fun movies and giving unbiased reviews. You all sound like you’re having fun and can find enjoyment in any movie, the good, the bad and the ridiculous.

    Horror Virgin: a quality podcast™️
What can be said about Horror Virgin that hasn’t already been said? Obviously, the chemistry between the hosts, when discussing the things that scare them the most (or what monument in the world they’d throw the Titanic at), is the best part of the show. But i wanted to specifically mention the actual audio quality of the show. I listen to a lot of podcasts, be it comedy, political, or just other movie review shows, and Horror Virgin is a cut above the rest. I want to personally thank Todd for being brave week to week and talking about it, Paige for her razor wit and effort that goes into reviewing multiple movies a week (and cult stuff too), and of course Mikey and his fun Mikey-isims and wisdom from the day job to put everything into perspective from a mental health point of view. You’re all amazing, and I always look forward to listening every week. Much love from your community!

    Greatest Podcast Of All Time!
Hey it’s Joahan, I just wanted to say that I appreciate you all for contributing to the best podcast everrr. My favorite genre of movies is horror, so I love that you guys break down, and tell me things that I never even knew or thought about while watching these movies. It can really change my thoughts and opinions on them. So thanks to the hard work you guys put in. P.S just so y’all know Mike is my favorite😂🤙🏽

    My Favorite Podcast
I have been listening to this podcast for so long that I can't remember how I found it, but I am so glad I did. It took me some time to catch up on all the episodes and finally write my review. I love horror, and yous guys podcast has introduced me to new horror and new insights on old ones. I love how Paige and Todd include their industry knowledge to the show and Mikey his mental health knowledge. The 3 of you are some of my favorite people. Paige, I love to quote you all the time, Todd, Water then pills all the way and Mikey, I too really like teeth, but probably more because I am a dental hygienist. The last year for me has been very hard and relistening to old episodes has gotten me through the hard times while I find a therapist that isn't Mikey. Keep doing what you are doing! Thank you so much. P.S. My goal in life in to be on the patreonicals one day.

    Mikey is my favorite!
Discovered this when Todd was a guest on another podcast and it quickly became my go-to show. Been listening for almost a year and so far no ear cancer. I love scary movies, but I can’t always handle disturbing visuals so I appreciate their hilarious recaps. Their conversations sometimes go on tangents that other listeners who want a straight recap may not appreciate, but I love going along for the ride. P.S. I love all three hosts equally*

The heroes we need in these trying times
The Horror Virgin is without a doubt the best horror movie recap show out there. Todd, Paige, and Mikey have the chemistry most hosts only dream of. They play off of each other as if they’ve been friends their whole lives. Todd - the boisterous, over-enthusiastic horror virgin who’s not afraid to share his vulnerabilities with the world. Paige - the witty comic who elevates the conversation. Her knowledge of the industry and ability to improvise are amazing. Her personality and insights help carry this show to the top. Mikey - P word. P word. P word. . . . Just kidding. Mikey’s humble soul is glue that holds this pod together. His perspective as a mental health professional and compassion shown when difficult topics are discussed helps make the bad parts of life a little less bad. And that’s pretty good. I hope these three know what a joy it is listening to them enjoy their time together. It’s like hanging out with your own friends. Obviously they all have busy lives, but if y’all could come up with a D&D campaign that we can all come along on, it would be amazing. And you KNOW you could get Todd to pass out or vomit. Anyway, thanks for what you do. It’s incredible. All the respect in the world. Ryno

    Riff Raff??
love this podcast and will forever be yearning for yall to do special episodes of reviewing other non horror/romantic movies. Also REALLY love that it sounds like Tod laughs with his mouth open similar to Riff Raffin his “main goal” video. Reminds me of how a shark might laugh

    5 star review from me
I come to you on the 6th day of black history month to commemorate this podcast for getting me through some tough times. The tough times I’m having are usually just my work hours but this podcast helps me nonetheless. I’ve been a listener for a few years and I’ve been happy to see the introduction of ads so that we can continue to get high quality content. I really appreciate Todd for being the podcast glue. Paige for being my all-around top pick. And Mikey for being there sometimes. Love you guys!

    New fan
I first discovered this podcast earlier this month and have binged about an episode a day a month later. HILARIOUS AND very entertaining personalities. If you’re a true horror film fan you must give a listen. The hosts give great plot by plot points of the films and it just overall such a great vibe!!
  • Lalalalowrie
    So Long
They pick great movies and they can be funny, but the majority of the pods are side tangents and completely unrelated topics. Combined with the ad breaks there’s probably less than 30 minutes of movie-talk in every episode.

Late Night Energy at its finest
The utter nonsense and plethora of in jokes that leak into both this podcast and the sister in, RTP, are the best part of my day. I find myself revisiting the magic and mayhem of the podcast on a daily basis and often get strange and unusual looks while I’m laughing along with Mikey, Todd, and Paige. From crapping on the floor, to the feet/dead brother jokes, to the singing on the show, there is something about the trio that brings sibling rivalry and energy together and makes me feel as if I have the family I always wanted. Thank you for the memories and laughter. I never get tired of it. Love you guys!
  • Djkwksndisksna
    I love this podcast
I started this podcast after getting current with RTP, and while I’m only about 160 episodes in, I absolutely love it. As a horror fan, you have peaked my interest in movies I’d thought I wouldn’t like, as well as introduced me to some I’d never heard of before, and have found new favorites because of you. Thank you for keeping me company each day as I work my super boring data entry job, as well as helping me find not only silly campy movies but also movies that just scare the pants off of me. The only downside to this podcast is that I risk spitting coffee all over my computer on a daily basis because Todd, Mikey, and Paige make me laugh soo much. Keep doing what your doing, I love you guys.

    Lake Mungo
Love this podcast and the hosts and can't wait to hear their thoughts on Lake Mungo when they get to it. Keep doing what you're doing!

I don’t even like podcasts but I love this one
My friend got me into this podcast (shoutout Lydia) on a road trip to take the Stephen King tour in Maine. Since then I have been HOOKED on this podcast. Like I said, I don’t really care for podcasts, but I could listen to this all day, every day. It’s so funny, the chemistry between everyone involved is incredible, and it’s made me pay much more attention to the finer details in the horror movies I love. Never a bad time when an episode of Horror Virgin is on

    I can’t stop listening!
Please read in confederate ouija voice. Dearest listeners, If you choose horror virgin you’re in for a great time. You would never expect that a podcast about horror would be so funny. My commute is infinitely better because of it, apart from when I get looks because I can’t stop laughing at whoville jokes. I’m so glad about revisiting pre Paige movies - Jennifer’s Body was is a favorite of mine!
  • TomNotTodd
Look forward to it every Monday!
Can we please get rid of Paige? A hundred

    Best Show Ever!!!
I’ve been listening to The Horror Virgin since Jan 2019 (can’t believe it that I’m coming up on my 5 yr anniversary this month!) and I swear this show is aging like a fine wine! It just keeps on getting better and better as it goes! The crew brightens my Mondays and Thursdays (shout out to RTP!) and I will forever cherish and appreciate them for that! Thank you guys (looking at you especially Todd, you’re a real G!) for making this girl’s days just so much better. 5/5 stars (but I’d give more if I could!) Mikey, if you read this, could you read it in the Confederate General’s voice, he’s one of my favs! Thanks, Iman

My “bad day” go to podcast
Podcasts used to be the worst form of torture for me, then I found out that was just because the only podcasts I’d been forced to list to were from the xtian fundies I grew up around. A show about horror movies and that one friend who hates jumpscares watching them? Schadenfreude at its finest. Mikey brings a humor very similar to my siblings and it’s like listening to them but on horror movies. Paige is a delight and even when I don’t agree with her opinion her charm and eloquence still make her likable. Todd’s sheer energy and tendency to burst into song with Paige (sorry Mikey) brings me genuine joy. I look forward to every episode and I’m so grateful to you all!
  • momoseh1989
    Not bad but…
Paige isn’t my fave. None of her jokes really land. It feels like she’s trying too hard to be funny, cool and smart. I guess stand-up comedy doesn’t always translate to podcast comedy? And during the Prey for the Devil episode, she called Colin Salmon something along the lines of fake Lance Reddick and it felt a little racist…like she thinks there can only be one Black actor at a time or something. Todd’s okay! He does co-sign on a lot of what Paige says though which can get a little annoying. Love Mikey! All of his jokes are winners, even when they’re not! I’m still gonna continue to listen!

Like a hot Toddy on a cold day
Please have Mikey read in his best Julia Child voice. This podcast is the reason why all my colleagues think I’m crazier than I actually am because they’re constantly catching me laughing to myself when sitting at my desk. I appreciate that. They shouldn’t know how bonkers I actually am. Also, lol @ Todd’s feet. Also also, Paige is precious and flawless and can do no wrong and I want to her to feed me focaccia (in a not creepy way).
  • AdnamaRenee
From a fellow horror virgin, this is my favorite podcast.
Mikey, please read this in a Fargo accent. It needs to make a comeback. Im a fairly new listener, and a fellow horror virgin. I started listening to maybe get over my fear of horror films, and I ended up discovering my favorite podcast. Todd, Mikey, and Paige make me laugh continuously, and often at inappropriate times, like at work, when I’m listening with my AirPods. I end up cracking up and no one but me knows at what, so I’ve gotten a few strange looks. Paige’s knowledge of the films and her fun facts are always enlightening, and I’ve developed a newfound appreciation for the genre I was always afraid to explore. Todd’s box office facts always blow me away, and his laugh is contagious. Also, I like his voice. Mikey’s insight on mental health hits home in a very personal way, and his jokes always have me cracking up. Thanks for making horror so enjoyable. If I could give y’all 10 stars, I would!

    My favorite horror discussion podcast
Half of the joy of watching a new horror film is listening to The Horror Virgin after. It’s the perfect balance of humor and analysis! This show is my favorite podcast to listen to whole walking my dog, riding on a plane, or at work! I love Paige’s fun facts and always learn something new about my favorite films! I hope that the crew will cover Lake Mungo and Savageland soon!

    Family
Between commuting and work, I have a lot of time to fill. I had a few podcasts that I listened to regularly, but once I found The Horror Virgin (way back when Paige and Mikey sounded different), I was hooked. I loved Todd’s energy, and catchphrases (even my non-listener husband will hit me with a ‘winky-blinky’ once in a while) Now that we have our dream team, it’s not just a trio of stranger you listen to weekly.. they’re like friends. The Facebook group is super active, and the hosts actually join in discussions daily, interact with listeners, and you get to know them on a hilariously more personal level. (drunken AMAs and 365 Days watchalongs on the sister pod!) Long review short, not just a podcast to fill your time, but an actual community that you become a part of. Keep up the great work, and I’m forever holding out hope for the action movie pod.

    The absolute best.
I listen to this podcast at work everyday. The amount of times I have laughed out loud when walking around and gotten stares my coworkers is insane but that’s okay. Thanks for always providing the best content and never failing to put a smile on our faces.

    Favorite Podcast Ever!!!! 🖤
Hey y’all! I normally don’t write reviews but I’ll make an exception. I LOVE horror movies and I stumbled on this podcast about two years ago and I’m so blessed that I did. The humor from the trio is sometimes dark and I LOVE it. Everything that they include in each episode is so fitting. I cannot recommend this podcast enough.
  • kanzdance

    What can I say
I’ve been listening to the podcast for about 4-5 yrs and it’s been the highlight of my days when a new episode drops. I’d listen to it while I worked in cultivation laughing to myself like a crazy person getting looks from my coworkers. Everything from beginning to end is pure perfection. Please don’t ever stop doing this as it would make me very sad. Thank you Paige, Todd and Mikey for being amazing and hilarious human beings.

    Best Podcast
This trio keeps me laughing through every episode, but I must say that I totally get and love Mikey’s sense of humor. Paige’s fun facts are always interesting to hear and I love that she often adds her own background facts. Todd has also spoiled me with his audio work on the show. Some podcasts I struggle listening to just because I’m used to the quality of this show. Keep doing what y’all do because you’re great at it!

    Your new favorite podcast
This podcast (and RTP) makes me actively snort and almost spit out my drinks at work. It is hilarious but I also really appreciate the fun facts and budget information. I also find it interesting listening to some of the viewer perspectives that Mikey brings up from a mental health professional. I recommend this show to everyone even people who hate horror. Please don’t ever change cause…bustin’ (up with laughter) makes me feel good.

I love this podcast and all three of the hosts. But I need y’all to get on Jackie about clearing her schedule to do more Twilight movies already. You’re all like my own personal brand of heroin.

    This Is My Comfort Podcast
I absolutely love this podcast! I’ve been listening since The Texas Chainsaw Massacre episode and have been hooked ever since. I love the horror genre and this podcast has allowed me to share that love with all the people in my life who hate horror movies. The friendship between Paige, Mikey, and Todd is palpable and makes for a podcast that is enjoyable and a comfort podcast I listen to over and over again. Through this podcast I have discovered new horror and revisited old favorites. This is definitely a podcast for horror virgins and horror lovers alike. Thank you Paige, Mikey, and Todd for all you do through this podcast! I’d give 10 stars if I could.

A weird weekly connection with my husband
Every week my husband and I watch a horror movie together and listen to the podcast separately as we both drive daily for work as hospice social workers. We text each other funny parts throughout the day as it is likely to take us all day to listen while driving from patient to patient. It’s the only reason to like Mondays, if I’m being honest.. Thank you for years of laughs and cheers to many more! Also, if you read this, can you please wish my husband, Danny, a happy birthday, as it is coming up soon! He will roll his eyes so hard at me 😆

    So much fun!!
I found this podcast quite by accident I was trying to find something new to listen to! I stumbled on my absolutely favorite podcast to date! I went all the way back to the Children of The Corn episode. I so wish this was recorded in 2023 everytime corn is said it reminds of the kid that sings “it’s corn a big lump of knobs…CORNNNN it has the juice” I’ve been cackling for two hours!

    10 star review
This podcast literally makes me want to do my job. I deliver for Chick-fil-A, which means I’m alone in the car most of my shift. Before I found y’all, I’d jam to my “music” over and over. You guys lift up my day with your fabulous chemistry and comedy. Paige without exaggeration, made me choke on my drink as I was driving! Mikey and Todd have a love for horror that they give their all each and every episode! I’d give 10 stars if possible

From the opposite of a horror virgin
I recently stumbled onto this podcast and it was an instant favorite. Horror movies are my favorite way to decompress, and listening to these three cut-ups’ hilarious reviews makes even the most disappointing scary movies fun! I started out trying to listen at work, but quickly found out that I can’t maintain a professional composure through this kind of giggling, so I’ve been listening at night after work, and every night this week have fallen asleep listening to Mikey and Paige discuss the merits of cannibalism while Todd does his best to sound disapproving 🤣 10/10 have recommended to all my friends!

A Perfect Balance of Horror, Friendship, and Comedy
The Horror Virgin is my emotional support podcast. I love horror movies and could talk about them all day but I don’t have many friends that will watch horror. Imagine my delight when I discovered this amazing podcast. Listening to Todd, Paige and Mikey is like having a conversation about my favorite subject with three smart, funny friends. All three hosts are nerds in the best way and the funniest movie reviewers. The show is always a good time, especially the episodes that go off the rails. Keep bringing the positive energy and enthusiasm, guys. I find myself laughing along with you, and that is what I mean by emotional support. To many, many more episodes and long live the Horror Virgin community! Five well-deserved stars!

I love this podcast! It hilarious and the host have great chemistry. Mikeys sarcastic sick sense of humor gets me the most. But when are you going grow up and do Terrifier. I can’t wait to see how grossed out Todd gets. I hope it makes him vomit on mic. But really love you guys and both the podcast. I would love an action movie pod too.
