Hooray for WeilMining the PsycheThis podcast presents perhaps the most consistent & insightful topics & guests around psychology, imagination, creativity & personal change. Even when I think a topic or guest will not be of interest, if I give Brian a few minutes, I nearly always get pulled in. Highly recommended.

NHmama645OophEpisode 131 deserves a do over. Rife with faulty reasoning. So in a hurry to disavow the west that says something like Christianity doesn't have concepts around death and rebirth. Several other baffling moments like this. There is simply no need to prop up one's cartoon version of one culture as a device to aggrandize another culture.

dbeck82Thank You BrianSo happy to have found the Medicine Path with Brian James. I find that the topics he covers and guests interviewed really align with what I’m interested in uncovering. You can tell Brian’s level of integrity in how he shows up in conversation with the guests. Always, thoughtful, willing to respectfully disagree and bring nuance to subjects (sadly, a rare skill these days). He has skillfully interviewed Stephen Jenkinson several times which is not a simple task. These interviews with SJ brought me here.

DawnlandiaI Love This PodcastBrian is an open, knowledgeable podcast host who seems committed to providing a deep look into how we all step around those blurred lines between psychology, sociology and culture, and spirituality. It's not a fluffy podcast. I listen when I have time to pay close attention. It's valuable. I'm grateful.

mcitalicsVery informative show from an educated and balanced perspectiveThere is a lot to be learned in this Podcast, Brian is knowledgeable and has clearly been in this path for awhile and done the work. He has a very balanced perspective and is very good at engaging the guests (which are very awesome) in articulate and deep conversations on the subject of spiritual development. It is refreshing to listen to someone who is seeking and doesn’t have a big ego nor a personal agenda.

make me you foolNew listener - loving itI’m not even sure how I found this podcast, but in the last two days, I’ve loved every single episode I’ve listened to. Brian is wise, humble, and articulate. He’s a great interviewer and I find he brings as much to the conversations as his guests do. More often than not I’m both surprised and grateful for his questions. He’s a smart guy. This podcast is a definite keeper.

DanitedYoga is connectionUp until Brian interviewed me, I was not a podcast subscriber or listener. The world is noisy, and I appreciate silence these days while driving, cooking and cleaning, etc. His warm hearted approach as a fellow practitioner and teacher during our conversation initiated a curious shift for me, and I just listened to my first podcast, Making Yoga Accessible. As a long-time teacher functioning within a paradigm we all agree is far from inclusive and excludes most of the populations that can benefit from yoga, this conversation hit the spot. Teaching in a way that honors all the parameters of who is in front of us while enjoying a good standard of living is an uphill trek, but I felt inspired and called to creative action via this listen. Whether you’re a student or teacher, just starting or in it for years, I trust that Brian’s experience as a man, a human and a guide will leave your heart smiling and your mind opening. 🙏🏽

a nickname that's not taken?A gift to the yoga/spiritual/plant medicine communityNot only is it clear that Brian has a passion for his craft, it’s refreshing to hear (in the episodes I’ve listened to this far) that he is intent on using sacred tools and practices in a way that embraces duality and the more difficult terrain we may travel through in this incarnation rather than simply trying to avoid those aspects like so many others in these communities.

thevagusnerveMedicine to my ears, heart, and mind! The Medicine Path Podcast is medicine for the heart, mind, soul, and collective body. This podcast is an amazing resource for anyone engaged in the world of yoga, medicine, spirituality, activism, and/or the healing arts. The Medicine Path Podcast sheds insight on the how these disciplines intersect. It gives a much needed voice to the modern progressive movement, unifying spirituality with social justice and embodiment. If you go to burning man, work with plant medicine, are concerned about our socio-enviro-economic state, are interested in authentic community development, consider yourself a yogi/ni, have an affinity toward authentic community development, question reality and your place in it, consider yourself unconventional in any way, and/or desire deeper systemic change, this podcast is a must!

Christopher Jay S.Fantastic and AuthenticIt seems that the podcast is driven from Brian's own personal quest for learning and knowledge. I love the wide range of elders and wisdom teachers that he includes in his search for understanding. The questions are heartfelt, the conversations are topical and applicable, and the answers and discussions are something I think we can all benefit from :)
