    My favorite podcast
I listen to a lot of podcasts during work mainly retro video game podcasts and this one has become my go to, I’ve been binging it like it was my favorite show because that’s basically what it’s become. Mikey and Andrew are absolutely hilarious and their jokes always land they give a lot of insight on the background of the games they play including it’s history and their experience with it. This is a solid recommend and everyone who likes humor and old video games should definitely check it out

    I shouldn’t love this podcast but…
Three things about me: I don’t like podcasts really - they tend to be too chatty and not on topic I don’t really play video games - just never got into it And I don’t ever pay for the extras if the free thing is weekly and high quality and yet- I love this podcast, I love learning about these games, and I subscribed to their Patreon within a few weeks starting to listen to it and would honestly still have subscribed if it was 10 dollars a month its so quality. I love these two, I found this podcast a few months ago while trying to find something about Banjo Kazooie and ended up watching their video on it and it gave me all the warm feels from when I was a kid playing that with my mom. Since then I’ve been going backwards and just listening to their old stuff loving the banter and the really detailed and thoughtful insights into what makes a good game. This show has become the equivalent of the office for me- playing in the background while I cook or clean or am driving. Highly recommend if you love all nerd things.

Games the we used to love
Smart and witty gamers who give us a little pop culture insight with a fart joke here and there. It ain’t for the faint of heart, but then again these crusty games aren’t either. My earholes are open for; Zombies ate my neighbors, T-2, Revolution-x, Original Warcraft, Command & Conquer, anything VR and maybe some sega snes era stuff. Can’t wait for you to fill them up with game goo. Thanks boys! Oh and the retro game reviews are great too.

Retro Videogame Podcast That You’ll Love!
Great host chemistry, funny banter, and interesting takes are what you’ll get if you subscribe to this show. Their patreon also has some great deep discussions on recent video games and pop culture topics and is totally worth the monthly donation. Be sure to follow their sister show,Horse Cast, for all your needs on horse related topics.

    Couldn’t recommend it
For a podcast that calls itself a “retro gaming” podcast, I listened to an episode where the proceeded to talk about red dead redemption 2 more than they did the actual topic, and every retro game the mentioned, they recommended the remake over the original. How can a retro podcast hate all of the originals and recommend all the remakes. Their banter is a bit vulgar, but can be fun at times, but their game talk just isn’t appealing to me.

    Ehrenworth Every Minute 👍🏼
Horse cast and video games? I know, where do I sign up? Well, press the subscribe button. It’s easier than Mikey. All joking aside, what can I say about these two that hasn’t been said? Two outstandingly hilarious, informative, articulate, random and wonderful guys. I listen to this podcast every week and let me tell you, it’s worth every minute of your time. I always find myself laughing and enjoying each episode. Over the past 3 years, I have had the pleasure of listening to 2 best friends have a blast and review the games I grew up playing. This is my absolute favorite podcast! Trust me, just press subscribe.

    Hold Your Butts!
Both hosts are hilarious and super knowledgeable about the games they play and discuss. Sometimes the “random” tangents that they go on every episode that has nothing to do with video games at all are my favorite parts. The chemistry between them is incredible and really helps the show from ever coming to a stop. Except when one of them says something real ridiculous and the other needs a moment to collect themselves. I can’t recommend this podcast enough even though most of my favorite games are never the games they love. Buts it’s okay, I guess. They’re still definitely a must listen.

    Super fun and funny
Every episode is a heater! Can’t get enough of these 2 goofs. They have great knowledge and their opinions are super valid usually even if you disagree!

Easily the best around, and it’s not even close.
Topical, hilarious, and fair. Is this the best video game podcast on the air right now? Who’s to say? Me. The answer is yes.

Better than the podcast in your ear holes when your not listening to this one
What a wonderful podcast, the hosts have a great sense of humor and a great outlook on older video games. Definitely would recommend, oh yah #HorseEggs #Retroegg

    An absolute must listen!
These two are incredibly funny! And the games they discuss are right up my alley. I really enjoy the discussions they have about these games and their non game ramblings. Their humor is worth it alone so give these guys a listen!

Mike Tyson is waiting for you...
Very disappointed by the punch out podcast. There is lots of mis information on the pod.

    Funny and accurate reviews
2 buddies play and review retro games up to early 2000s era. Fair reviews on the games and explanations of the score are on point. Foul language and jokes keep things interesting. Bonus episodes include other hot gaming/movie/tv topics.

    Really fun and funny!
Of all the podcasts about games I've listened to, this is the closest thing to sitting with my friends, having a beer, and playing an old game.

I have quickly become a big fan. These guys are funny, sharp, and they bring back a lot of video game memories from my childhood. Keep making 'em, I'll keep listening.

    Not my cup of tea
The hosts, to me, aren’t as funny, clever, or interesting as they seem to think they are. Maybe I’m just missing something, might be for you though

    Trip Down Nostalgia
A witty and clever podcast that keeps me laughing and feeling all the feels as I remember what it was like to play some iconic games and debate if memory serves them justice.

    Witty and charming!
It was by happenstance that I came upon The Retrograde, but I’m super glad I did. Mikey and Andrew’s passion for video games and all things nerdy (even hockey for you Canadians) fuels each episode of the podcast with a intense energy. Plus I’m a sucker for bad puns. My kid of guys.

From someone who doesn’t care about video games
    These guys are hilarious.

    “Hail satan!”
Two of the most quick witted podcasters out there. Easily my new favorite gaming podcast. These guys are destined for greatness. Please review Half-Life 2 (I’ll settle for Half-Life, if 2 is too current)

    Ahh, nostalgia!
Love this podcast. Great to hear deep dives into games I loved when I was younger. Would love to hear a Halo 2 deep dive!
