Having trouble sleeping?  Join Yoga and meditation teacher Kathryn Nicolai for bedtime stories where nothing much happens to help you relax and sleep peacefully. The stories are a soft landing spot for your mind. Rather than letting your brain race through the same thoughts you’ve been chasing all day, we are taking a detour to a calm and comfy place. We tell the story twice and go a bit slower the second time.

    Paying for ad free but she still is trying to sell stuff
    I really don’t appreciate that I’m paying for the ad free version and the start of every episode is her talking about how you should buy her book/other brand promo items and how you should go to her instagram. Thats an ad and that’s not right at all.

    I love Nothing Much Happens because it helps me relax and go to sleep. I love how I can nice Story in my head while I fall asleep, I listen to it every night. Finding this podcast to listen to at night is one of the greatest things that have ever happened to me in my entire life. I used to have to take melatonin every single night because I couldn’t fall asleep but once I started listening to this podcast I sleep so much better now. I started listening to the podcast because my sister told me about it,I’d always want to listen to a relaxing podcast but the only podcasts that I could find where ones about scary things or where just 5 minutes long, but when I found nothing much happens I was so happy and loved going to bed every single night. I love nothing much happens thank you.❤️

    I love the way these episodes help me sleep, and I wish there was a content warning on the episodes talking about spells and witchcraft. I love fantasy, but this is presented as reality. I liked for my kids to listen when they couldn’t sleep, but it’s not what I want for them, and it’s not clearly stated when that will be included.

    The best thing to fall asleep too. I can’t get enough of the Village and look forward to turning on Katherine’s soothing voice every night. I struggle with severe anxiety, and putting my phone down is really hard (due to racing thoughts and needing a lot of distractions to keep them at bay) but by the second listen I’m usually able to relinquish the hold and start drifting off to sleep. I add multiple episodes to the queue and allow her to guide my sleep throughout the night. This is the most beneficial service I’ve ever subscribed to! - Destiny

    I love this podcast so much it’s the best thing I’ve ever heard you have a soothing voice and I love it so much it puts me in to sleep I love Katherine Nikolai I have anxiety issues, and it puts me right to sleep please go back to when you have the newest at the top. I don’t not like scrolling all the way to the bottom to find the new ones. Also, I am a kid of 10 years old. Do you have any merchandise for kids? I think it’s a good idea for the next wind down box. You could do a kids wind down box It is amazing that you could do three podcasts at once., Nothing much happens, the village of nothing much, and first this. also can you please give a shout out to Sarah Ray in an episode she is my mom and she recommended nothing much happens and subscribe to Nothing much happens You do a great job.

    I have suffered for many years poor sleep do to PTSD and Anxiety and Panic disorder. I’ve listened to so many different podcasts, hypnosis podcasts, sleep apps, white noise, brown noise and so on and so on. Nothing Much Happens is by far the absolute best thing I’ve used to help me sleep!! I wake several times during the night but thanks to Kathryn and Bob I hit play on nothing much happens and I’m back to sleep in no time!! My sleep is still a long ways away from being perfect but it’s so much better than it was!! Thank you for making such a wonderful helping podcast

    The stories are perfect for going to sleep. They are a forms of mindfulness and appreciation of the little things in life that turn out to be the big things. I almost always go to sleep before the repeat. I wonder if the Sycamore Inn is real. Such a comforting sounding place.

    Cure your insomnia with the help of Kathryn and her Zen style. She’s amazing! Everything she says about hanging in there over time is true. I ordered the BOX and it has some very helpful items in it. I didn’t get the cherry gummies - maybe they ran out. The chocolate mushrooms arrived liquified- thanks to the AZ heat. Now they have re-solidified into two blocks in my fridge. so I don’t have any idea what the dosage is. That being said, I still would highly recommend it. Sweet dreams!

    I first found the village of nothing much two years ago, during a difficult winter that demanded some very early mornings in the midst of a lot of stress and a very toxic work environment. Kathryn’s voice got me through that difficult season in one piece—and has many times since. I’ve also since learned that I have ADHD, which can make “turning off” my brain for sleep especially difficult. When my mind won’t stop racing, I know I can rely on this podcast. The genuine peace that I tap into when I listen has been truly transformative for me, even in my waking life! I am so thankful—NMH has been a true support to me in times of need and brought me real joy and rest 💛

    Time to find something new…
    I really lik-ED this podcast… until the ads became a problem. They’re so freaking LOUD and jarring. “Just skip it” you say? Well that’s not how I use this podcast. I like to make a playlist and stream together a couple of episodes to create a white noise playlist. But now, as soon as an episode ends here comes the ads again to wake me up. Like right now! I’m wide awake after a stupid ad with a dog barking in the background started playing at the top of the episode! So frustrating!!! It’s a sleep podcast and there are dogs barking!!!!

    What is going on with the loud, frantic ads that popped up randomly twice in Sept 2nd’s episode? Scared the heck out of me. I’ve been listening since season 1 and never had this happen before. Love the stories but this was entirely counterproductive. I’m now wide awake.

    50 yr old mom of college kids and dogs here, nights can be so interrupted here! I am so happy I found this podcast! I am trying so hard to stay off my phone at night when I wake, and I love reading but don’t always want to put my glasses and light on lol. These stories are so beautifully detailed so as to place me gently inside of the story, but then your soft, lulling rhythm and soothing tone just comfort me off to sleep! I haven’t heard the end of one yet! I love the way you read it a second time so slowly. I also love how you support such wonderful charities. It’s perfect for me, thank you! 😊

    I found this podcast earlier this year, I’ve been listening ever since. I do have trouble going to sleep so listening to her stories puts me right out. Only once have I heard her say at the end of her stories, “ sweet dreams” I haven’t heard her say that in a while cuz I pass out and stay asleep all night. Thank you for podcasting your stories, what a wonderful idea to those who do this sort of thing. Best part is I don’t have to buy an audio book and then wonder where I left off at. I just restart these stories over again.

    I play the episodes all night as I have always awaken about every two hours. It use to take a long time to get back to sleep but no longer. I just listen to your sweet voice for a few moments and drift off. Your breathe in/out has never awaken me, and I am a very light sleeper. Keep on girl, and thank you very much.

    Great podcast except…
    For the love of everything holy please stop doing the breaths SO FREAKING LOUD!!!! Why would you change that? I’ve listened for a long time and have the podcast play through the night. The sonic boom breathing has legitimately woken me up in the middle of the night and I am not a light sleeper. Girl, please stop. Move the mic away from your mouth and please stop breathing like you’re going to attack someone. It ruins the peacefulness you’re meant to bring. I’m actually on edge during that part to see if you’re going to do the angry breathing and have to fast forward because it’s so abrasive. This does not help my insomnia. Please, please go back to normal breathing. The audience doesn’t need to hear you breathe a millimeter away from the mic. 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼
