ChristyInIndianaNeeds Editing & Audio HelpI gave it a whirl b/c I liked some of the topics, but the audio sounds like listening to a phone call, it’s really annoying. One person sounds like they’re VERY loud and animated right in front of a mic while the other sounds super duper SLOW and far away.

fierymercuryJuly 6 podcastGreat information otherwise marred by amateur audio mix levels. The host is two volume levels louder than the guest author. The ads are 3 volumes louder than the actual podcast. Was there a sound mix done on this? Please fix.

heathnatHelped my relationship with my son immensely!Janet and Jen have such a wonderful partnership and their combined experience has helped my relationship with my son immensely. Setting more realistic expectations, ideas to help me connect with him, and knowing what the world looks like through his eyes has reduced yelling and conflict and maximized connection.

NoyfbbbbEvery topic imaginable!I’ve been listening for a couple of years, and love the dual perspectives of the co-hosts. This is one of my go-to resources. If there is an issue or concern you have now, or if you wish to be prepared for what’s on the horizon as he grows- there will be an episode that resonates. Don’t be surprised if there is an “ah-ha” almost every week! Some shows are so full of relevant-to-me advice that I have to listen more than once!

Jules22179Love the contentI love the content, it’s so very helpful. Sometimes they talk or read stuff way too slow and I have to speed them up a little, but still worth the listen if you don’t mind speeding it up.

HH REV IISpot-on...all the time!As a mom who grew up as a LITTLE GIRL, I definitely learned from my son that I had no clue about how boys think! You guys hit the nail on the head all the time! Every episode! I recommend your podcast constantly (because many of the dads out there have forgotten about how they were as boys as well). Many many thanks. I’m an OT working with many families of boys and you guys are so grounded and speak from the “lived experience “.

Puppy PaleThis is actually kinda funnyI thought this was a podcast about how to take to boys(like, how to get out of the friend zone) but then all the reviews about “I’m a mother of (random number) and this podcast really helped me” and I noped right out of this podcast 😂👏👏

StephbatersMy favorite podcast!I’m a mom of two boys and it isn’t always easy. Janet and Jennifer’s podcast always have the best stories and advice to help me navigate through this wonderful adventure of raising boys . They let you know it’s not always going to be perfect and I’ve applied so much of the advice they give into helping raise my boys . Their podcast are always so relevant and they cover so many of the dilemmas many parents of boys run into. I always look forward to each new episode.

TrooperScoutGreat Info and Always A Good LaughThese two ladies give such great prospective. I love their different views as both a mom of boys and an educator. As a mom of two boys I relate to so much that is shared and have grown so much in my understanding of my boys and their interactions in life.

Bellaluna79Finding HopeI am a mom of 3 boys, 16, 10, and 5, so you can imagine the excitement when I found a local speaker and author whom was creating the community of Boys Alive!! I have been listening to Janet on the radio now for about a year and was able to hear her speak live at an event here in my hometown of Portland, OR earlier this year. Recently I was having a difficult time with my 5 year old boy’s behavior at the end of the school year in pre-school so I reached out to Janet in a desperate search for some answers on why my son was suddenly having such a hard time in school. Not listening to teachers, being aggressive towards friends and being dismissed from his class was what I was being told were the problems with my son. We were even asked to pick our boy up from school one of the days. I was devastated and tearful and questioning myself about where I went wrong in my parenting and what I needed to do to reverse this behavior so it doesn’t devastate him or me as his mother for life. In talking to Janet she reminded me of a kind of “spring fever” that many kids go through at the end of the year. She reminded me there were transitions and changes often happening at this time of year. For my son it was his last 2 weeks at the preschool he’s been attending for 2 years and he starts kindergarten in the fall at a new school. Saying goodbye to friends and familiar places is hard for him. She assured me that these behaviors were common, especially with boys, and that this too was only a phase, some brief growing pains. She encouraged me to be consistent with my parenting, love unconditionally, and not dwell on the bad behavior. Sure enough it only lasted those 2 weeks then he for the most part returned to his kind loving and energetic self. I can’t say enough of how thankful I was for Janet’s calm and comforting talk with me as we were going through this. She was right there when I reached out to have a conversation with me as soon as possible. She helped me to be a better mother by understanding what he was going through and why. She gave me practical advice that I was able to implement immediately to help him move through this phase. Also the podcasts are so relevant to all the things I question and go through with my boys. I love this community. It has kept me a little more sane through these hard parenting years with boys!! I can’t thank you enough for having this resource available for me and others out there in the same boat!! Thank you so much!

Joanna from WashingtonPodcast on gamingI listened to the podcast with guest speaker Greg Wondra, and the information on gaming helped me relax and worry less about my own son's gaming. I struggle with understanding the attraction because I don't value it, and Greg helped me see it through a new lens. I highly recommend On Boys podcasts for a real-life approach to parenting that helps us tune into our kids.

Kathy from PhoenixGreat Real-Life AdviceMy son is 22, and I so wish I had had this podcast to guide me, as a parent, when he was younger! (The fact that I listen now, anyway, shows just how great it is -- entertaining, too!) Smart, honest, informative, great guests. Such valuable info. Highly recommend!
