The Quarterdeck - both this podcast series and the online venue- is a wonderful source for solid practical advice on all aspects of seamanship. A great listen whether you’re new to offshore sailing or an experienced sailor.

Andy and Mia do a great job framing their expert opinions and answering FAQs about offshore sailing. This podcast is my go-to audio for my commute that rivals any sailing book out there. They offer up so many ideas for setting up your boat that I’ve easily listened to each episode twice to make sure I don’t miss a detail. Keep it up, Andy and Mia!

Sailor or not this is a great podcast!

I'm an advid listern and have covered all Andy's podcasts over the past 2 years (On the Wind and this new offshoot How I think about Sailing). They are entertaining and have greatly enriched my sailing life. Andy's podcast introduced me to new ideas, history, places, and key people involved in sailing. Every episode is a goldmine for new avenues to explore (and dream). From people to learn about, boat systems to consider, other online (podcasts/websites) to explore, books to read, ideas to consider regarding seamanship, etc! Most of all Andy's podcast has helped me become a much better sailor. He shares a perspective that's made me a more competent and safe. Maybe one day I'll even have the opportunity to sail with him. I cannot thank Andy enough for this wonderful contribution to sailing. Go check out his new podcast"On the Wind" - it's a great complement to "How Ithink about sailing".

Andy does an exceptional job presenting relevant information for sailors today. Every podcast is packed with great data on many of the aspects of ocean sailing that are hard to find, and he does a great job in his delivery. His episode on iPad navigation presents info that anyone thinking about upgrading their navigation systems should listen to. Always recommended!

Andy’s new podcast is a treasure trove of useful and practical advice for anyone sailing the high seas. Andy and Mia share what they’ve learned over 50,000 miles of blue water sailing. The music is awesome too! A great listen.

I’ve always really enjoyed listening to Andy just as much as listening to his guests. His essays on sailing, business, life, etc., have brought a lot of inspiration and clarity to the possibilities for young professional sailors. Now we get to hear his thoughts as the topic itself. Again, is depth of knowledge is inspiring. Really looking forward to the future of this podcast.
