Update mid April 2024: I can’t in good conscience follow a podcast about podcasting that is publishing a dead Apple podcast feed for months and doesn’t notice. Leave out the politics and talk about podcasting. Nobody cares about your political beliefs and the misinformation you try to spread.

I'm one of those 'Class of 2006' folks who started podcasting early. But that doesn't mean I'm doing everything right. This is a great podcast to get in shape and do some best best practices. Does every episode apply? No. I don't have a lot of guests, so I skip those. But there's a lot of good information.

This is the podcast where I take out my notepad and pen because there are SOOOOOOOO many golden nuggets of information that I can use to help me with my podcast. I THOROUGHLY enjoy the personal stories that tie into the episodes so that you can see the seemless correlation to the topic discussed. Not only is this podcast intelligently composed but I do enjoy the humor interjected in strategic spots. My only critique is that my hand is getting those writer nodules from taking so many notes but that's a good thing in my book. KEEP UP THE AMAZING WORK DAVID HOOPER !!!!!!

The host, David Hooper, has had a nationally syndicated music business radio show for years and covers a ton of ground about interview process & preparation, zeroing in on show themes, marketing of the show itself and really just great advice in general. Strongly recommend for any current or aspiring podcaster.

I've spent months learning the technical aspects of podcasting (hardware, software, recording and publishing techniques, web dev) while fine-tuning my message and reasons for wanting to podcast. I have learned from all the greats from podcasting's "how-to" community. Then I found David Hooper and his Big Podcast Daily show and it has really kickstarted my process. It's like a perfect countdown sequence to launch. The episodes are short, focused, and practical. Everything moves you toward action and a specific outcome. No wasted banter; every story or example illustrates whatever "big idea" he is communicating. It's like a box full of energy bars full of podcasting protein and no fillers. Yet he never comes across as a know-it-all or gives off a my-way-is-the-only-way attitude. David is more like a no-nonsense personal trainer. He suggests other well-regarded podcasting coaches for the stuff like mic selection and nitty gritty on gear. But when you are ready for a seasoned Sherpa to take you on the final mile toward launch of your podcast, David is your man. I especially recommend his "28-Day Podcast Jumpstart" series within a series. Thank you, David. This is great stuff.
