    Be careful with your words
Not positive, but it sounds like Gloria Zorbino was schizophrenic…. So attributing deceitfulness & normalcy would not be right. She was never diagnosed but displayed early schizophrenic behavior.

One of your best episodes. Well prepared and informative episode about a subject that needs to be discussed. Thank you

    Boring
I am a Canadian, and a true crime fan, and was referred by the Ongoing History of New Music. I tried to make it through the episode, but I have to say this is one of the most boring true crime podcasts that I have ever heard, laden with details, but boring.

I have to agree with others
but I will try to be less hateful about it. Mike & the stories are spot on. Matthew, have you listened to yourself? Maybe you don’t have the self awareness, but as I said I agree with others. It’s difficult to listen to, I get embarrassed for you. Humility is an admirable quality. ;-) ps I DID get the opportunity to take an anger 🤬management class! I was none too happy @ the time I’ll tell ya 👿 lol I am also in recovery & this was very early in my clean time journey. Honestly, it is one of the best things I have ever done. So enlightening & truly life changing. I believe if I hadn’t been exposed to the importance of honesty, open mindedness & willingness prior to taking the course I don’t think I would have gotten as much out of it.

I stopped listening when you used the word “racism,” a modern lib term that means nothing, twice. Unfollow

    Enough already
This isn’t the Mathew show. Please Mike, if you insist on keeping Mathew, keep it to 2 comments, no more than 30 seconds each. With his rambling, he interrupts the good story telling you used to have. We’re already aware that Mathew (thinks he) knows everything, has been everywhere, and has an opinion on all subjects to no end.

    Enamel bar?
Edit 2: I listen to the January 20, 2018 show and it was extremely moving and sadly, relatable. I wish you were here or I was there to give each other a great big hug. Edit: I went to the Canada airport on the way to Malta, and I ordered poutine and it was pretty good although different but didn’t get a chance to order a double double from Tim Hortons but I did talk to some Canadians and they did know what these things were :-) Original review: I don’t know what an enamel bar is, but it sounds like it would really hurt my teeth lol. Regardless, this is a fantastic show. Keep it up!

Always a solid show and entertaining as heck!
I ADORE this show. I’ve been listening for 5 years now and figured it’s about time to leave a review. It’s my favorite true crime podcast. I look forward to Monday mornings at work because I get to listen to “my guys” Mike and Matthew. Not only is it well researched, the presentation is always professional and respectful. Mike is very knowledgeable, seasoned and just seems like a good eg. I find Matthew’s input is often a perspective that I hadn’t thought of and it makes me think outside of the box. Oh and I love Steve stories too! I appreciate the friendship between these two men and how well they interact. I wish I could give them more stars. Bravo on an excellent podcast gentlemen. I’m never disappointed.

    4 Stars
Apparently 4 stars… cause… Edmonton Oilers. But seriously, it’s nice to hear stories and the accents from the homeland. Grown in Alberta, living in South Dakota since 2010. Some of these news stories didn’t show up in my feeds. Interesting listening to them when all has settled and not in the height of the emotions. Found out about you guys from The Morbid Podcast.

Canadians live in igloos and everyone is nice
As a Canadian living in New York City, I love hearing these stories of home and learning Canadian history from people who have a healthy amount of skepticism around the colonial lens traditionally taught in the school system. Thoughtful, caring and humorous. What else can a true crime loving gal ask for?

    The content can be ok
The content can be ok but the times it gets overtly political and preachy take me out of it.

    Whitey bad
I can only hear how racist white people are, so much. Does anything else cross your minds. I’m out!

    Ever consider ?
Treating your buddy of the year, month, week, etc. with some respect??? Not like a pet? It’s always about you. Plenty of pods with one narrator.

    Amazing podcast!!
The show has been consistently excellent throughout all its phases. It took me a while to get used to Mathew’s voice, but you can really tell that he’s getting more comfortable as time goes by and his and Mike’s dynamic settles into a groove. Thank you guys for all you do.

    An evening with friends
I love, love it when I see a new episode on my playlist! I feel like I’m hanging out with my besties ❤️ Don’t change a thing y’all are wonderful
  • Ryleigh'sMom
Sympathetic and factual with appropriate humor
They take care to honor the victims, avoid victim shaming, respect the seriousness of the crime. They are humorous without without disrespect. They encourage listeners to seek help if needed and are honest with their life struggles. You won’t be disappointed.

    A little bit too
Woke woke woke. It’s not a good thing. When the dad is over you’ll look like a tool.

    Beautiful and heartbreaking
I’ve been a listener since almost the beginner- this latest episode with Colin was a tear jerker— his raw pain and struggles and also honesty was beautiful and humbling to hear. It was also rage inducing to hear what his family had to deal with regarding the prison and parole system. Wonderful job both of you on these two episodes from start to finish.

    SNL NPR voice
I’ve always enjoyed this podcast… but the new guy sounds like he’s doing a bit on the SNL skit with the NPR ladies… weirdly non-emotive-whisper-voice.

I can’t get past the lisp
Sorry guys, I really wanted to like this show, but I find myself distracted by the lisp. I’m sure it makes me sound like an a hole, but I listen to a ton of podcasts and audio books and a lisp or presence of the sibilant “S” is the second most distracting and annoying thing after vocal fry.

    Great True Crime Podcast
I first heard about this podcast by reading Mike Browne’s book. I’m a lover of everything true crime so I checked it out. I’m only on my first episode but I love it! The episode is intriguing and voices soothing and easy to listen to.
  • Spaulding67
    Three Stars for Content
Interesting information but the host sounds like a weather radio robo voice. Boring and monotonous.

    Love this
I am only on episode 22 and I just love these guys and am sorry that Scott won’t be on after 149. I don’t know what happened, but these guys are so great together and I hope whatever happened can someday be resolved. Thanks for this podcast.
  • HankNail
    Thank You
Listening to this podcast encourages me to keep showing compassion and kindness, and reminds me that there are others out there who will do the same. Love both voices and both Voices.

Used to love Dark Poutine but not so much anymore
I loved this show, it was in my top 5 favorite podcasts—until recently. Mike is an excellent host but WHY must there be a co-host? The co-hosts are terrible (except for Mike’s wife Carol). The most recent co-host Mathew has an arrogance about him that’s unbecoming. Also, what’s with all the UFO episodes? I want to hear about true crime not stories about aliens, this is not the X-Files.

    Love
Love these guys, they’re smart, sensitive, sincere and funny. Matthew is an excellent addition!

If a boat has continual mishaps.
Keep the boat. Change the crew, especially the captain.

    Mathew’s Voice
Is ridiculously smooth and probably my favorite.
  • DawnzaLilla
    Can’t anymore
This show was in my top 5 for a long time. Since Scotty left it’s a mess. Another gentleman has replaced but the whole dynamic has changed. Now it’s all suggestive homosexual joking around, race relations and any other cause that is hot at the moment. I don’t care who is what. It just doesn’t have to try to make up for true humor these off the cuff remarks. I tuned in for years to hear a crime story. Not a lecture on world issues. Goodbye

    Bingeworthy
My favorite podcast. Listen to episodes a second time. Love the verbal footnotes, background history, explanation of Canadian culture intertwined with the story of the crime. The respect paid to the victims. Why do chicks listen to true crime? So that we don’t become victims ourselves. Binged all 200 shows after listening to the first one. My absolute fave is the one about the exploding ship in Nova Scotia. The absolute worst (in terms of haunting me) was that young girl getting murdered, left for dead, in Bermuda I think it was. Her parents wouldn’t let her go for several years, the first time she goes she is brutally raped and murdered. Absolutely heartbreaking

    Good stuff
Mike and Mathew and formerly Scott do a fine job of describing the crimes discussed mostly Canadian

Dark Poutine is better than Real Poutine
This is an informative and interesting show which is on the top of my podcast list. Highly recommend!

    PrettyGood
I wish I could convince Mike to do this podcast on his own because every cohost he’s had has just taken away from the quality and ‘easy listening’ of the show. Great content though!

    Awesome Show!
I'm about halfway caught up and I wanted to tell you that I absolutely love this show. I appreciate you so much. The respect and humanity that you show are amazing. I skipped to the end with the MMIW episode on Hilary Bonnell. No show that I've heard has given the history or the challenges that Indigenous people face. Your research is impeccable. You're doing a fantastic job! I've gotten a little misty more than once. Jackie Moranty - Cause of Death Podcast

    Excellent!
I just heard your interview on Murder In The Rain. One of my favorite Podcasts! Those ladies are awesome. I decided to check out your show and I’m so glad I did! It’s awesome. You have a wonderful voice and I’ve enjoyed each episode I’ve listened to. Thank you for bringing this wonderful Podcast to life ☺️

Episode 10 Mike met a monster
I will not bore you with my details but this so resonated with me I was in tears I hadn’t shed for years It must have been so hard for you to share that story and I thank you It reminds me to be nice to people as you never know what might have happened in their past THANK YOU THANK YOU and I wish you much love and peace of mind Love this show even more as your honesty was so profound. 💝😘
  • A20020
    Not interested as much
Don’t care for the new cohost, he adds nothing to the show and in a recent episode he bashed the premise of compensation to families of the victims. Imagine being a family member and hearing some guy go “families don’t deserve any money”.
  • Xmegzy
    My favorite podcast!
This was the first podcast I had ever listened to and I cannot get enough. I cannot find any other podcast to listen to and I get excited every week for a new episode. I love Mike Browne and the new cohost Mathew Stockton is way better than the old cohost.
  • nthomp
    Love it
Thank you so much for your thoughtful discussion of mental illness in the Aug 30 episode. I’m really loving the new cohost and the perspective he brings to the show.

    Inspector Gamache!
I loved Sins of the Father! And could Matthew hear me yelling that I LOVE the Inspector Gamache books by Louise Penny also! I love you two guys talking back and forth! Great podcast! Thanks! Susan
