Since November I have been listening to these podcasts on morning walks and they cheer me up so much. I have rewatched the series many many times and I love the fresh commentary. Sometimes the guys go a tad off topic but their comments are still something I look forward to. Thank you!!!

This podcast came in a perfect time. I have just been on a rewatch of sex and the city. I watched it from the beginning. And it was very influential. It’s great to have two “friends” to rewatch it with me. Thanks for all the laughs and joy!

I found this podcast a few months back when I started a rewatch of SATC. I’m on season 6 already and loving the dynamic between Mike and Elise. You keep me laughing during my commute up and down the Jersey Turnpike. Thank you!!!

Elise and Mike are such a great team! I absolutely love listening to them. They are both hilarious in different ways, and you get to know them as people, but there isn’t an over-emphasis on them. We all love SATC and have different relationships with it, and it is so interesting to hear their witty, interesting, and hilarious takes on it. I love Elise’s voice and Mike’s laugh. They don’t just pander to loving SATC - they find the quirky things about it that make it special, just like how we all feel about Carrie! Carrie and the show are imperfect, like us all, and we love it all the more for being like us. I will be listening to them long after I finish the SATC content. They are very talented. I’ve had many discussion with my friends about SATC, and it’s fun to hear the takes of people who know more about the professional entertainment world than I do, in this case, they add a lot of knowledge about theatre. I feel like I’ve expanded my horizons listening to it. It’s also great the way they tie in real-life NYC. I’m from NY originally, and it’s even interesting to me to see how other people enjoy the city. I’m definitely obsessed with this podcast. I’d love it if they did The Golden Girls, 30 Rock, or Friends next (my other favorite shows). Hey, can I suggest you guys watch and maybe podcast on If Lucy Fell (very old SJP movie)? The movie gets terrible reviews, but I don’t know why because my friends and I thought it was sweet and hilarious, especially if you love a young SJP. Ben Stiller is absolutely brilliant in that movie, too. Carry on, guys! I will be following your careers, if possible.

I’ve gone through S&tC at least five times now, which includes the movies and AJLT. It’s a comfort thing! Mike and Elise always make me smile and they are the best companion podcast to a very cherished series. Thanks so much for all of your hard work over the years! I can’t wait until 2025 and we get new episodes!

I’ve recently gone through a second sex and the city wave of obsession. I absolutely love hearing these two talk through the episodes! I have binged through this podcast the past 3 weeks and am halfway through season 5 whoops. Elise and Mike have such playful and (typically) lighthearted banter, but I also love the myriad of personal break throughs they have every season. The research, behind the scenes information, and all around banter makes this podcast exquisite. Love it. I know I’m 4 years late to the party but thought I’d give my two cents. Also I deeply appreciate the lack of ads. Truly such a blessing for me…but probably not for Elise and Mike’s bank accounts. <3

Mike and Elyse are so fun to listen to! This podcast is just as binge-able as Sex and the City haha.

Favorite podcast.

These two are so smart and funny; it’s a pure delight! They support each other and don’t cut each other down for no good reason like other SATC podcasts! The Broadway references are wonderful! If you love NY, SATC and Broadway, you must listen!

As a die-hard fan of SATC back in the day, this podcast has been such a gift. I get to not only re-live these stories with these characters I’ve missed so much, but I get to witness it for the first time again through Elise’s eyes (GREAT concept for a podcast, btw). It’s a testament to these two podcasters that I found myself crying, just *listening* to them recap the pilot of AJLT. Give Mike and Elise ALL the money!

I’ll start with I love you guys both of you! I have listened to every single episode of your podcast at least once and I’m now on the first episode of the second movie. The best part of the second movie was that Miranda‘s boss was Ron White. I was so disappointed you guys didn’t even know who he was or mention his great comedy. The man is hysterical. Over the top, but then of course, it was Samantha and the two of them would get along perfectly! Anyway, just wanted to say I was so surprised and I can’t wait to get onto watching and then listening the new series, thanks for reading, Susie

Mike and Elise give a refreshing re-telling of the SATC series. Since both of them are servers they give such great insight into each restaurant the episode features. They also give amazing commentary on the shows theme by delving facts about their own life. All in all, this is a great podcast if you are a SATC super fan or watching the series for the first time with them.

I love the discussion about Sex and the City, the movies, and AJLT, but it’s hard to listen because of Mike. His outlook on relationships and people in general is so negative and depressing.

wow your recent episode that came out on oct 22nd was about amy schumer’s movie?! do you not see all the racist things she’s posting on the genocide against Gaza?! you applauded her and said you love her work even AFTER all the racist & hateful things shes posting on her instagram. i love how you both research and have so much knowledge which is why this is so UPSETTING that you didn't flinch applauding her work despite all her hateful PUBLIC racist bigotry. i really loved this podcast, but i don’t feel comfortable supporting you both now that i know you are comfortable with such hateful, racist and dangerous messages!

I’ve watched SATC many times, and these podcast hosts bring new insights to every episode. I have actually now listened to their podcasts a few times now too!

Longtime listener, really appreciate the observations and thoughtful perspective

I watched the series as it aired and I was hooked. I’ve watched it several times through, have the box set of cds (lol) loved the movies and I’m now watching and just like that. I came across this podcast and decided to listen. Mike and Elise have me hooked all over again. Excellent job. I’m once again rewatching ! SJP for President

I’ve tried a lot of sex and the city podcasts and this was by far the best. Both Mike and Elise are hilarious with great banter and interesting opinions. Easy to binge and super fun.

Both hosts are great and Elise is really funny. Mike is super knowledgeable. I have listened to all their episodes at least twice. I was 18 in 1998 when SATC first was released and I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched the series! It’s so funny to hear their take and on culture norms from the late 90s and early aughts that are so outdated now but we thought were so cool then. They also break down the writing and the storytelling to a deep level which makes rewatching the series more interesting. Hope they can return soon with more episodes.

I’m on this journey up to episode 8. I like both hosts and the take of one knowing a lot and the other being a first time viewer is very smart. Worth following and listening to. Likes: Very knowledgeable about NYC They have some good location insights. Smart to have someone who never saw the original have a new take no it. Good sound quality Room for Improvement: He doesn’t defend our beloved characters enough. But I think that is because he doesn’t want to do spoilers for her Obviously if we are listening we are not novices like her. It can be hard to listen to your favorites being slashed a bit. There are some obvious things with plot and development and use of theme is missed. But to be fair they are not claiming to be film / TV experts.

Best podcast about SATC/AJLT. The hosts mention interesting bits of relevant information about NYC. My only complaint is their reviews for each episode of AJLT come out much later than other podcasts. I understand though, the hosts sound like they have busy lives.

The hosts have great chemistry, and their genuine friendship shines through. It’s a pleasure to find a podcast that’s compelling because the analysis is spot on but still fun. And no one has been kidnapped or murdered!

They do such a great job getting into the details of each episode and the fact that they are close friends also really shines through and makes the pod more fun! SATC fans will loveee.

One of My favorite podcasts in awhile it’s so hilarious! I love Sex and the city one of my favorite shows. Wish there was more of the podcast even if it was a different show!

There are a lot of things I love about it - their reviews of the SATC episodes of course and the unique angle of Mike having seen them numerous times and Elise watching for the first time. Their friendship shines through too, they are hilarious together.

I’ve tried a few sex and the city recap pods and this is my favorite one! The hosts are New Yorkers and actors and I love the tidbits they add about the city or the restaurants or the filming/production that I wouldn’t normally notice. This podcast honestly helped me so much as I listened to it with headphones during my maternity leave/post partum period which is amazing but also a bit lonely and isolating.. it is a perfect light, relaxing listen and the hosts are entertaining and intelligent and 0% annoying haha

I love this podcast so much!! I have watched sex and the city a million times. It got me through some lonely times in college and I’ve been in love ever since. Mike and Elise are so hilarious and have the BEST dynamic! I would listen to them talk about paint drying. They would make it entertaining. Love SATC and love WCHBW!

I’ve watched every episode of Sex and the City at least 10 times so I can say I am a true fan. I came across We Couldn’t Help But Wonder and now can’t stop listening!I enjoy it so much that I’ve listened to almost every episode more than once. I love Elise and Mike’s approach, making note of specific NYC restaurants, shops, parks, etc. They don’t stray too far from the content - something that other podcasts tend to do, way too much. There’s a great dynamic between the two of them and really hope they’ll do another recap show. Bravo! (And Elise, never stop singing and quoting lines from musical theater)

I love Mike and Elise! I found this podcast a couple weeks ago and I am already on Season 5. I literally cannot stop listening. They are so entertaining and funny. I also adore the musical theatre references and the way they take the time to mention each director, writer and actor/actress and what they’ve been in. They have the perfect balance of staying on topic and getting silly by getting off track from time to time.

There are so many SATC podcasts, but this one is by far the best. After listening to this one, I wanted more SATC, but the other podcasts don’t compare 😞

I love this podcast - Elise and Mike are so funny. As a SATC fan since I was in middle school (in the early aughts) I’ve probably watched the series 10 times through. It’s fun to hear a fresh perspective on the show from Elise. I’m listening to this podcast from the start for the third time in a row!

I am so late to the party! I found this podcast about 2 months ago and just finished bingeing yesterday. I purposefully waited until the end to do a review and here I am. I love everything about this podcast. It’s engaging, fun and smart, but most of all, it’s not political. Given the climate of the last couple of years, I was impressed how they stuck to the content of the show and left politics out. I’ve unsubscribed to several podcasts lately because podcasts are where I go to escape. Well done. I may go back and listen again.

I started listening to this podcast a little late in the game. My best friend and fellow SATC addict recommended it. I started from the beginning. I’ve personally seen SATC over 100+ times all the way through. I love the dynamic that Elise had never seen the episodes, while Mike is a fan from the beginning. I’m addicted, I listen to the program while I get projects done during the work day and just anytime I want to escape the outside noise. I love that Mike is a small town Washington state kid (like me) and Elise is from Michigan, transplants to New York, but both are now true New Yorkers. The podcast gives a deep dive into each episode with some inside knowledge to the city itself. I find myself intrigued with the facts and cracking up at the jokes and stories!
