I’ve recently started watching the sopranos (I’ve been binge watching and im almost done with it… oops). I love the commentary from both Hannibal and Gavin, both are so funny but also very knowledgeable and just all around entertaining. I’ve now been binging this pod at work so I can finally catch up so I can listen to this after each episode. It also helps give me in-site on some things I may not have picked up on initially. I love it, I hope both Gavin and Hannibal are doing well since completing the podcast. <3 great work <3

I’m rewatching the Sopranos and decided to listen to the podcast at the same time. The show analysis is so good. These guys are very intelligent and knowledgeable. They highlight aspects of the show I would have never thought of as important on my own. They’re also adorably dorky. I adjusted my rating from 5 to 3 stars. Still making my way through the podcast but I realized that these guys are just a little too comfortable with racist jokes, fat shaming, and the mocking of religion. I’m sure they’re not actually prejudice, but they are definitely insensitive toward these subjects.

Love this podcast so much!! Can you please do one on Succession?? I have yet to find one that is even as remotely good as “The Sopranos Show”.

This podcast is the best… stinks that they covered all the episodes. I know they’re “THE SOPRANOS SHOW”, but I would love to hear them discuss other shows on HBO. Maybe “Succession”??

I tried several other podcasts about the Sopranos and this is by far the best. They do a great job of not spoiling future events and have a nice recap/discussion of each episode.

Insightful, spoiler free reviews of each episode. The hosts do a great job at discussing themes, cinematic choices, and meaningful trivia.

I came here to write a good review, but I just heard one of the hosts admit they didn’t like Hamilton and now I don’t know if I can trust their judgment!! 😂 I’m kidding. As a first time watcher of The Sopranos, I wanted a podcast without spoilers and this is perfect. Great banter between the hosts combined thoughtful analysis of the show. I’m very glad I found this podcast and am looking forward to hearing their thoughts as the next five seasons unfolds.

Making my way through the Sopranos for the first time and was looking for a companion podcast. Tried many different ones during season 1 and ultimately kept coming back here. Every other watch along Pod I tried contained spoilers, big or small, in some form of another. Gavin and Hannibal are incredibly careful and cognizant about breaking down each episode fully and giving nothing away. Great show guys thank you!

This show is insightful and interesting; the hosts are very well informed about the show. My only quibble is that they decline to research references that predate them and speculate instead. And they’re a little ageist. Still, I give it five stars and it’s enhancing my rewatch.

This is by far my favorite podcast & a MUST for any true Sopranos fan. I’m enjoying the current celebrity podcasts by actors from the show but for the true “deep dive” experience, Gavin & Hannibal are the real stars.

So insightful and funny. The banter between the two is so entertaining. Smart, witty and don’t take themselves too seriously. I listen after every episode I watch, makes it even more enjoyable. Thanks guys!

Great chemistry between the hosts. I love that they don’t give future spoilers when discussing the episodes. I think these guys should do a similar podcast of other shows they’ve watched. Would LOVE to listen. Maybe they can do Lost.

Excellent podcast fellas. I thoroughly enjoyed it from beginning to end. I didn’t realize you guys started back in 2019 until I was well into it. There were several other shows going as you know and they are far from the end. I appreciate I was able to binge watch and then dissect each scene immediately afterward. You guys are a great team. I am watching the Sopranos for the first time and have previewed all of the popular Soprano podcast that are available. This one is the best by far. They provide an excellent episode recap, and have a great insight on the happenings of the episode. Most importantly, for someone watching for the first time they make a concerted effort not to give away any spoilers. I can’t recommend this podcast enough.

Started watching The Sopranos (for the first time) when we went into quarantine in 2020. One episode per day after remote teaching followed by the podcast. Great recap. I regret that I only have the series finale left to watch.

Good podcast. You can tell these two are close friends, and their conversations about the show are fun and entertaining. The strengths of this podcast are more about their funny banter and conversation than picking up on major themes, which they miss at times. My biggest complaint is that these guys like to use (and misuse) the word “literally” an insufferable amount of times. Literally. C’mon guys. You’re better than that.

Love this podcast! It’s definitely intelligent and entertaining, let’s me in on little things I wouldn’t have noticed. They discuss everything in depth, and it’s got good analysis but they don’t leave out the humor. I wish they would do one for The Wire!!

I listened to this whole thing non stop in about a week and a half. Totally amazing analysis of the show we all know and love. Gives insight into aspects of the show I didn’t even notice. Very funny and entertaining as well. I will be rewatching the series with fresh eyes!

This is a great podcast for Sopranos fans. The hosts are insightful, fair, interesting and break the episodes down swiftly and smoothly. They offer facts and trivia and honest reviews. Highly recommended.

I recently rewatched The Sopranos with my daughter. After every episode, I listened to the podcast. It was so interesting. Aside from the fact that they drove me crazy with their pronunciation of the word 'Soprano', they were very astute at breaking down each episode. They shared lots of trivia and I especially enjoyed the interview with Silvio's wife. Very easy listen, and what I now consider an essential companion to the show.

These guys do a nice job of analyzing the various personalities of the show and their intrinsic value. They’ll also throw in some decent humor towards the end of episode with their “favorite line” segment.

As someone watching for the first time, I wanted to be able to process what I was hearing without spoilers outside of speaking with my fiancé who has done several rewatches and is a super fan. The Sopranos Show was great for that! I was very sensitive to being spoiled and I would say they did a good job with the conversation between the two hosts- just skip the interviews with outside people if you are very sensitive to spoilers and you’re set. I looked forward to listening to The Sopranos Show just as much as I looked forward to seeing the next episode of the show and when people say that the characters on The Sopranos seem like their old friends- Gavin and Hannibal seemed like my friends and I will miss hearing them every episode now that I’ve finished the show! They definitely helped me become a super fan of the show myself! Thank you two!

The show was very good in the first season but slipped each season. The lack of focus is distracting and the goofy laughing is tough to listen to. Clean those up and the show improves significantly.

When I stood next to Gandolfini on the elevator at 8 Penn, I was speechless. I always thought I would have said that I loved the way he popped that onion ring into his mouth in that last scene. But I now know that I should have thanked him for giving us this gift of rewatch able drama. The same must now be said to these two guys, who by their intelligence and humor, allow us to experience The Sopranos again and again in an altogether unique way. They have spoilt me, for I can now listen to no other podcasts...goodbye Slate, Crime Writers On, Sam Harris, 538, etc, Hello The Sopranos Show...all the time!

I discovered this podcast on a drive to Arizona. At first I was skeptical a podcast about a show I loved? However these two fellows pull it off. It was so good I started over from Season 1 Episode 1. Shame on them, they caused many fights between my wife and I. She wondered why I would rewatch a show and listen to the podcast? Because these guys rock.

I love podcasts and have been listening to them for years. The Sopranos Show podcast is one of the best I’ve ever heard. Gavin and Hannibal did such an outstanding job covering the show and they are really entertaining to listen to. At the time The Sopranos started airing originally my husband and I were newly married and did not have HBO. 20 years later we were looking for a new show to watch and decided to give it a try. We both became huge fans installing. I didn’t expect there to be a podcast for it but was pleasantly surprised there were. I was thrilled to find The Sopranos Show podcast because it was so good and spoiler free. I was able to watch an episode or two at a time and then listen to the show for insights and extend my enjoyment. Thank you gentlemen! I really appreciate the job you did on this.

Gavin and Hannibal offer thorough commentary and analysis not only on the content, but on the craft of the show. It’s clear they know a thing or two about filmmaking and various aspects of screenwriting and production, which is cool because I don’t! They also keep things fun and funny and give off the vibe of two thoughtful dudes who have known each other forever. As someone who also discovered the sopranos at age 12, a few years after it first aired, I relate to their perspective.

Hannibal and Gavin are hilarious. Their chemistry as friends makes the show a gem to experience. I had never watched The Sopranos until this year, and I’m listening to this podcast as I watch the series. Their analyses are always thoughtful and intriguing, and makes you appreciate all the hard work that was put in to make the Sopranos a timeless classic. Favorite podcast. Highly recommend! Gavin and Hannibal have a very simplistic linear way of breaking down each episode perfectly. There’s nothing gimmicky about their podcast - just incredible analysis and special guests!
