    Rebuttal for a great podcast
Hello Lance and Ben(or is it Brad šŸ¤£), just letting you know I look forward to all your podcasts. Some titled a review ā€œ 7th grade humorā€ can kick rocks with a 1 star review. Your banter is what makes it work. Even sometimes I forget the movie you are reviewing. Keep up the lordā€™s work and will always miss Greg.

    Good podcast
This show is about a guy named Lan and think who is there with his friend Band. Lan talks about getting in long drawn out street brawls with the evil denizens of his town and Band is in a band (I think thatā€™s why his name is Band). Anyway sometimes they talk about movies and thatā€™s fun too. Give it a listen mostly for the other stuff though

    Fallen In Love
I lost my job a few months ago and this has been an amazing gem to find during this down time. Iā€™m definitely going to become a patron! But, have you guys ever thought about recording a watch along? You watch the movie and commentate. That way we can all watch at least one movie together anytime? Again, love the show!!!!!

    Just Discovered, Really Enjoying
I think Iā€™ve gone through every horror movie podcast. Not sure how Iā€™m just finding this one, but Iā€™m really enjoying it. The later episodes can drag at the beginning with too much rambling and the guy who tries to talk like Anthony Jeselnik can be annoying. Not sure if it is a bit or what. The Jason Takes Manhattan episode is amazing.
  • It's alright; I'm a doctor.
    Mixed
The discussion of Prince of Darkness was not very insightful, yet it was funny, esp. the impression of Pleasence. Now comes the confusion: after an hour of joking about many failures in this film, they rank it as 8/10 and 10/10. Hey maybe itā€™s an ok mood piece for some folks, but in its disjointed drivel and pretensions, unconvincing stakes, and lack of character motivation, it comes off as just a Neil Breen ā€œfilmā€ with better financing.

    7th grade humor
Just because you have a mouth and live in a permanent state of junior high toilet humor, does not mean one should have a podcast. A collection of idiots who are actually doing a disservice to these films.

    Fun
I enjoy what these guys are throwing out. My sense of humor is similar to the hosts so I like the recurring bits and call backs. Freezerinos For Life!

    Not funny
I didnā€™t hear anything political and I wouldnā€™t mind if I did, but they ate fast food on mic for 20 minutes and they werenā€™t funny. I do like these old movies, though.

    Hardeeā€™s Boys 4 Life
I love this show. I have listened to literally every single episode. The original dynamic of Gregg and Ben was awesome, when Lance joined it got even better. Unfortunately over the past few months Gregg started to get a little too snowflakey and overly woke for my taste buds and my enjoyment of the show took a tip. The show transitioning to full time Hardeeā€™s Boys and all eras being covered has reignited my excitement for the weekly episodes. Keep up the good work. Best of luck to Gregg in whatever he pursues next, seems like a nice and talented guy and I appreciate all the time and effort he put in over the years.

    Stay away from politics
Why canā€™t these types of shows just stay away from politics? Oh, well. Go woke, stay broke.

One Greg down and one 90ā€™s movie up
I will miss Greg but I do love that yā€™all are moving away from 80ā€™s only theme. Time changes everything and I hope yall continue to make content for at least 7 more years

    Decent showā€¦
Show is decent. I was enjoying it until they just had to get woke and talk agenda/political libtard stuff. Could have sworn this was a horror movie podcast, not a CNN puppet podcast. Nah, Iā€™m good

    Fun and Knowledgeable
I always enjoy this show! They cover so many great horror classics from the 70's-Present, but the 80's is the most fun decade! They're a fun listen and I love the facts and cast and crewrundown they discuss.

A fun podcast for lovers of 80s slashers and horror films alike( good and bad)
I always enjoy your podcast from the funny Seinfeld and Simpson references to knowing and learning about filmmaking. Keep up the good work and the laughs , fellas !!

Your mom is a frat boy.
Luv to pop open a Polar, open a fresh bag of Gibbles, kick off my slides, lotion up my bare feet and listen to the boys appreciate some classics and/or roast some turkeys. If you donā€™t like this pod you have bad opinions and you should feel bad.

    First review of 2024
Long time listener, first time reviewer. This is my favorite horror podcast. As an almost 40 year old man, I relate to the era the hosts grew up and share a love of 80s horror and humor. Love this show so much

Smug guys who like being negative
This podcast isnā€™t the worst if you like frat bros dissing movies they seem to not understand. What a depressing podcast to listen to if you enjoy horror. I personally love all kinds of horror from Bay of Blood to Evil Dead to Gremlins. These guys only like surface level horror. You wonā€™t hear positive reviews of Curtains or even My Bloody Valentine. They seem to hate character development. I listened to about a dozen episodes and gave up. Itā€™s cool that they talk about more obscure horror but all they do is crap on these films so whatā€™s the point? The only positive thing Iā€™ll say is that I do love all the Seinfeld references. Thatā€™s something

    2 'Cast 2 Glorious
I was a teenager in the 90s and watched all these movies on VHS. To listen to these guys talk about these movies made me laugh deliriously. The use of the word "d!nk" on this podcast is artful. Ha! They have so many great personal anecdotes to share. Looking at these movies from millennial eyes is so relatable. They're thoughtful enough to not even say the word "r4p3" when speaking of the "r4p3" scene in Evil Dead! Really cool that they care about their listeners. For fans of jokes.

ā€¦lotsa lotsa Horror podcasts (and most are bad). This one is good so far

Just the right amount of goofy
There are so many horror movie podcasts, it took me a while to get around to trying this one, but super glad I did. They seem to enjoy making fun of the movies just as much as they appreciate the flaws, quirks, atmosphere and effects. Plus itā€™s the first podcast that appreciates Silver Bullet as much as I do. I really like the goofball energy of this show. Thanks for the entertainment.

Great group of guys who love horror!
I Listen to these guys weekly now because Iā€™m driving in the car for a minimum of 4 hours daily . Really love the reviews they do and love to hear different opinions on movies that I loved watching growing up. Theyā€™re always funny and I even re-listen to episodes if theyā€™re funny enough ie new nightmare and little idiot bashing. Do yourself a favor and listen and you wonā€™t be disappointed! Please do a new blood review in the future! Keep being awesome
  • AngelasDong
Donā€™t listen to the shows before Lance was on
Do yourself a favor and donā€™t visit the older episodes before Lance was on the show. I listened to a few with him on it, enjoyed the show, and started to dive into the backlog only to be disappointed by how boring the older shows were. If you can get past the occasional self deprecating male talk, which is very cringe, you have about an average show that Lance gives extra points to for sure.
  • cubanita#1
    Too bad
I was a teenager in the 80s and watched all these movies in the theater. To listen to these guys talk about these movies made me cringe. Every other word is ā€œlikeā€ ugh! They barely have any life experience from where to draw. Looking at these movies from millennial eyes is a travesty. They couldnā€™t even say the word ā€œrapeā€ when speaking of the RAPE scene in Evil Dead! Do you need a safe space? That said, I agree that that scene was unnecessary. The response in the theater was wild. Total shock and nervous laughter. And., by the way, it was horror/campy. It was meant to scare you but first disarm you by making you laugh at absurdities. Dude!
  • The Tritone King
    Great (mostly) 80s horror spotlight!
From trash to slash, bliss to miss, and everything in between, the hosts cover every single possible horror film from the 80s you can imagine, and approximately 36 trillion that youā€™ve never heard of. They all seem like decent guys too, which is always nice!

    Whatā€™s up maniacs?
Love this show. Like looking up these old slasher/horror movies and then listening to the back episodes. Iā€™m spending a lot of time by myself these days and this show helps me fill the void. Itā€™s a fun time!!!! In addition Iā€™m really enjoying the maniac feedback segment - lots of good recommendations! Keeping the world warned against big milk.

Great podcast- heavy on comedic vocal stylings
Good 80s horror podcast! In The early episodes one of the hosts is pretty funny doing impressions every once in a while. As time has gone on the podcasts are filled with him and his impressions. Itā€™s distracting but it appears this is the format they are going with. While the constant vocal stylings of the host grinds my nerves, Iā€™m still trying to give the later episodes a shot. The podcast in itself is informing and the selections are fantastic! Give it a listen if youā€™re a 80s fan!

    Synopsesā€”and thatā€™s it
Itā€™s like the box description of a movie but for an hour, plus ā€œehhh, uhhhh, thought there were some good parts, kinda boring, I didnā€™t really like it.ā€ Incisive!

Itā€™s so nice to hear such endearing commentary on weird movies, it makes my heart soar. A show for 80s horror nerds by 80s horror nerds
Excellent show covering a boatload of 80s horror films. Itā€™s refreshing to hear reviews of these movies from those who grew up loving them and appreciate how terrible, yet nostalgic a large chunk of them are. Likable hosts, humorous banter and never boring- if you enjoy 80s horror then youā€™ll love this podcast.

    Neon Brainiacs- Highly Addictive
So since Iā€™ve started listening to Neon Brainiacs theyā€™ve completely captivated multiple angles of what Iā€™m looking for in a podcast that I want to listen to week after week. Though there are others I listen to, this is the show I look forward to the most. Love the humor, love the content, love the pacing and chemistry between Gregg and Ben. Literally 5 out of 5 stars. Keep it up!

    Finally a good podcast
I went through several horror related podcasts before I stumbled upon Neon Brainiacs. I had no idea going in that it is also rooted in Pittsburgh, PA which is an added bonus. (hint, I live in the Burgh) Too many shows have a host that is truly grating or they just lack the enthusiasm or knowledge about the genre. Ben and Gregg have a blast with the material and actually know quite a bit about horror and the 80's sub genre. Highly recommended.
  • The Cinema Dude
An Awesome Horror Movie Podcast about the Best Horror Decade!
If you love 80ā€™s horror movies then this is the podcast, you NEED to be listening to! This is probably my favorite movie related podcast. Ben and Greg, do a fantastic job with this podcast. The segments in the show itself are really interesting and you get a wealth of information from them. The movies they pick to review range from classics to the obscure and you will be wanting to go out and find these movies after you hear about them. Oh! and did I mention, the podcast is hilarious as well, I am always laughing at what funny things Ben and Greg are saying or what impressions they are doing that week. Highly Recommend!
