    No Way
Can’t imagine actually paying for this. 35 minutes of listening to some Casey Kasem cornball reiterating the same Motörhead stories we’ve all heard 100 times before? If that appeals to you, save that $5 a month for eventually buying a clue.

I can not live without Disgraceland and Jake!
In 2020, I joined the podcast craze, devouring mainly true crime shows and trending topics. As someone passionate about music, history, and Elvis, I stumbled upon Jake's podcast and was immediately drawn in. The Disgraceland and double Elvis intrigued me. I’m glad I delved in! I had found the podcast and interests I’m actually interested in! What sets Jake apart is his meticulous research, unbiased approach, and willingness to tackle controversial topics with maturity and wisdom. I can’t stand a pod that talks out their rear. I appreciate how Jake balances his neutral tone with passion when discussing sensitive subjects. His outspoken yet considerate approach is refreshing. It's clear he's a talented underdog who has earned his place in the podcast world. To see him cross over to MFM made my entire day! I’m glad we’re getting to watch him do what he’s passionate about and soar. As a fan, I appreciate how Jake engages with feedback and delivers content that resonates with his audience. Keep up the fantastic work, Jake! TCB!

    I’m addicted to Disgrace!
There are many things people can be addicted to, some good and some bad. For me music has been my addiction from birth. My mom always had records playing. I followed in her footstep’s. I always have music going and am always on the hunt for new artists to fall in love with. Thanks to Jake and this amazing podcast, not only do I get turned onto new music but I get to hear their stories as well. Keep doing what you’re doing Jake, the world needs more content like you provide!

    Great storyteller!
By far the BEST storyteller I’ve ever heard, transforms you right into it. I tell everyone, if you’re not listening, you’re missing out… fav podcast EVER!

    Jake knows things
Like many others I can’t remember exactly who told me about Disgraceland. I think it might have been the ladies of My Favorite Murder. But if you are’t listening to him you should be. My father used to warn me that the people I idolized in entertainment were not what I thought they were. I scoffed at him in the worst teenage way. Turns out he was right. And Jake delivers it all in the most captivating way. Always a conversation starter, I have told so many about this incredible show. If I could leave 10 stars I would.

    Looove this show!!!
Looove this show! I work a lot of hours doing mind numbing work, (not mentioning what I do because I don’t want anything to happen to me that would be a disgrace). I just became a member and I wake up excited to go to work because I know that I am going to listen to the show. So many interesting facts, stories, and people. Jake’s storytelling and narration is captivating. I love the music interspersed throughout the episodes as well. It’s uplifting and gets me happily through the day and night as I plug along. This has made my day to day life soooo much livelier!!

    Aaliyah episode
Great episode! Kept me engaged throughout, as I remember the crash as if it happened yesterday. Great details and new information I was not aware of previously.

The Art Of Story Telling Perfected!!
DISGRACELAND is an excellent podcast that I highly recommend. As an Art Bell enthusiast, I usually listen to Art Bell & Joe Rogan. However, I recently discovered DISGRACELAND and it’s right up there with Joe Rogan in my all-time favorites. Right alongside Art Bell, When it comes to Hosts! I go for 1-2 mile walks every single night. I usually listen to old episodes of Art Bell, but there seems something strange with the Art Bell podcast situation going on. I’m not exactly sure what happened, but anyway, this is about DISGRACELAND. It’s a fantastic podcast. I enjoy the storytelling. Like stated, I go for my walks at night, so whenever I hear the podcast, it’s like a movie playing inside my head. I started listening to DISGRACELAND before Halloween, like September and I’ve been enjoying every single episode. Top Tier Podcast. Jake has mastered the art of storytelling! And I am enjoying the ride. Just what the podcast doctor ordered!

    Disgracedland: A review
A number of years back I put out to my fb world asking for a recommendation of a podcast. A friends wife suggested Disgracedland. My husband and I have been dedicated listeners since. This podcast is well researched, eloquently written and Jake’s voice, Chef’s kiss. I highly recommend this podcast to anyone who love music, movies, true crime or just enjoys great storytelling. Keep up the great work Disgraceland Team and we will continue listening. I’d give more than 5 stars if that were an option.

Insane and Captivating Rock & Roll Stories!!
March 2020 and my life had turned upside down by the death of my girlfriend. When the pandemic hit around the same time, i was devastated. Amidst the isolation and despair I found the soothing balm here that is Disgraceland! As a music lover, musician, and fiend for fascinating music trivia, behind the scenes history of my favorite bands, as well as bands I never thought I’d be interested in, I hit the jackpot, folks. If you love captivating storytelling about the dark side of music’s history, you will NOT be disappointed in this show. The top notch storytelling, as well as the intimate interaction with the audience, Jake takes you on a journey through music news and history like you have never experienced before.

    The Best
This is the best podcast ever! I was first introduced to Jake through the podcast Dead and Gone where Jake Brennan And Payne Lindsay take a deep dive into the Grateful Dead. I absolutely love this podcast and look forward to it every week. I highly recommend Disgraceland.

    Best storytelling podcast out there
I came across Disgraceland in Sept of 2020 and have listened obsessively since then. It’s everything I want in a storyteller format podcast- factual, detailed, shocking, riveting, and most of all- narrated in a voice that pulls you and gets your undivided attention. If you’re a music and crime junkie, this is the podcast for you. Host Jake Brennan is a fast rising star in the podcast industry and for good reason. Jump on this rock-n-roll tourbus into the darkness and enjoy the ride.

This disgraceful podcast is very entertaining
I stumbled upon this podcast just browsing one day. It is now my favorite podcast I listen to every episode and look forward to the bonus ones or the follow ups. I’m even going back and listening yo the ones I missed before I knew about the podcast Jake the host could narrate anything he uses the best descriptive words to paint a picture for mind like know one else. And for some strange reason I really like the melochrone

For the Weirdos, Misfits and Freaks
Disgraceland fell into my lap on a random search, and the first one I listened to was the Black Sabbath episode. Hearing the infamous bat story, and other ancient musical lore that I have already heard my whole life told in a way that only Jake can, makes it feel like I am getting an exclusive listen to these stories for the first time ever. Thank you Jake for making my days driving my small army of humans around feel “cool” still… 🤘🏻🙌

    Subscribe. You won’t regret it
I somewhat struggle to put into words how to describe be this podcast. It’s production value is so top notch, the sound quality is on another level. It is really like the Spielberg level. Except that I have never felt valued by Steven the way Jake Brennan make you feel seen. I know he is talking to many many many people, but it feels like he is talking to just you. Disgraceland feels like it belongs to all of us in such a good way. Keep doing what you do!! Love this Pod!!

    Storyteller of our generation
I love some podcasts and read a lot but not one keeps me as riveted as Disgraceland. Jake’s a talented storyteller. Passionate, smart, and talented (and Gen X😊). What makes it one of the best is that Jake Brennan is probably the most authentic person in podcasting. (I’m on the Patreon but had to share the wealth here.) Rocka-Rolla

    My Favorite Podcast EVER!!
I took a road trip from San Diego to Shreveport, by myself back in December 2020, and I wanted to listen to something other than music. My girlfriend hipped me to Disgraceland. She told me about the Sam Cooke episode and I have been devouring this form of true crime cheese ever since! Thank you so much, Jake Brennan, for your continued production of these podcasts! Rockarolla!

Insanely Good Show And Worth Your Time!
The writing is amazing, the stories and knowledge is amazing, I love true crime and to hear about all of the shenanigans that stars get into told so in depth and interestingly is AMAZING. I listen to shows about stars I don’t even know about and it’s always captivating! I found out about this show from a commercial which is why I always listen to them. This is one of my favorite shows! Rockarolla

    Long delayed review
Been listening to Disgraceland from the very first episodes and it’s a shame I never took time to write review. Jake’s been my running partner for years now not knowing it )) I wanna thank you for great storytelling and endless hours of entertaining and education. I’m a big fan from Yerevan, Armenia. It was the Elvis cover that caught my eye, but it was your intense love for music that kept me on. PS Jake you even ran a marathon with me ))

    Yes!
A lifelong lover of musical history thanks you for this podcast! It’s brilliant!! Well-written, well-told. A treat for the ears that keeps you coming back for more incredible stories about incredible artists that you normally wouldn’t know about. Thank you, Jake! Keep em’ comin! -Cindy

    Disgraceland is Share-worthy!
I love what Jake and his team put together—great storytelling with a high production value. It’s so damned compelling and addictive you’ll find yourself listening to episodes about artists you don’t even know! The highest praise I routinely give to Disgraceland is to share episodes with friends and family who are fans of the featured artists. In the past couple of months, I’ve shared the U2 episode, the NFL episode (multiple times), and the Hank Williams episode with my 88-year old dad! Thanks for what you do, Jake!
  • Karen Reed is guilty as sin
    I had no idea
Who knew that a former front man to a 90s thrash band could be so intelligent and eloquent? I assumed he was a journalism student from an Ivy League school (talk about prejudice huh?) Awesome podcast! Keep the stories coming <3
  • Gerataco
    Great podcast
The latest episode has a great true crime story in it. Jake is so good on this one. You should try doing some more TC episodes.

Articulate irreverent intelligent well researched podcast !
I'm hooked on Jake! He knows his stuff and also has a fully grown sense of humor, humility and decency , which is uncommon. I don't think of myself as a music loving woman but as I have been listening I have been reminded of the importance of music in the world- I am 78- probably much older than the average listener- but I keep my mind open and Jake is teaching me things of value. Great work! Thanks for sharing.
  • TJTENNISPRO
    Reginald Denny propaganda
I personally have a huge issue with your justification of Reginald Denny being beat by thugs because cop thugs beat Rodney King. The King and Denny beatings are both awful but very different. The fact you can’t see that is appalling.
  • mybadkarma
    Jake is it!
Incredible storytelling and, with the subscription, enough to keep you sated week-to-week. I listen to everything Jake does. It doesn’t get much better.
  • Kiwibubs
    Beware: Addicting!!
I’ve listened to all of the episodes of both DISGRACELAND and Badlands and Jake is a fantastic storyteller hands down. I look forward to the drops every week and have yet to be disappointed. Keep up the great work Jake and team! Rock n Rolla!
  • S2Hill
    It’s a disgrace… In the best way!
I have been listening to Disgraceland at least since 2019. I used to work a job where I spent a lot of time traveling and man did Jake keep me company on the road. It’s one of the greatest podcast. I’ve ever listened to. The stories are incredible, and the disgraceful things that you will learn about people that you love and admire, and thought were amazing (they still are for their contributions to art and sport etc.) will blow your mind. Jake digs in behind the headlines and into the actual person in the stories. His voice is amazing and he’s an incredible storyteller. Rock n Rolla If you aren’t listening - that’s a disgrace.
  • PJLAFUNK
    Fantastic podcast
Jake conveys information and emotion in such a captivating way. Always interesting topics and deep backstories!

    Entertaining and intriguing
Love the show, the episode on Lana Del Rey was especially interesting and opened the curtain behind the artist and her thorny path to stardom. The whole approach and premise of the podcast is brilliant - keep it going

    Absolute Gold
Love this show! Been a lifelong music fan and in the industry for a couple years. Always learning something new and is a fantastic listen. Favorite episodes include Marvin Gaye, the Stones (multiple episodes) & Gram Parsons.

    Simple the Best
My brother and I have a 9 year age gap, so growing up, we didn’t have a lot in common. What we did have in common though was the love for music our parents instilled in us. Now in our 30s and 40s, we still enjoy sharing new music or re-discovered music with each other. When I discovered Disgraceland a few years ago, it reminded me so much of the conversations my brother and I would have. I shared it with him and now every Thursday, he, my SIL, my partner and I get together to have an After After Party discussing the episodes, curating playlists, and just having a good time.

    Truly incredible
I love every single episode of this podcast. Insightful, factual, and incredibly told. Jake and team are amazing at what they do. The latest episode about the NFL is mind blowing. I knew nothing that was said and I’ve been a fan since I could watch TV. Thank you Jake and Double Elvis not only for a great show but a great overall listening experience. Bravo!!!!

    All the feels
I have never listened to a podcast that has made me feel so much. The storytelling is perfect…. Content, timing, execution…. Perfection!
  • SmartDog Doug
    It’s about the education.
Most of us live in an echo chamber of the things we like and only those things. I like metal and grunge and country and rap don’t interest me. But Disgraceland presents stories about artists and celebrities that are so engaging that I have to listen to them all. And in doing so I have learned to appreciate the trials and tribulations of artists I had dismissed as unimportant to me. Give it a listen and you too may just get educated and enlightened, and forced to broaden your view of the world. Keep up the incredible work.
  • Lainey_74
    POV: Gold!
I never tire of listening to Jake tell these stories! He knows how to tell them and brings us in closer because we can’t get enough. His team is amazing! The work they do is untouchable! He’s the cool friend we talk to and we’re the Disgos he loves to talk about! I tell everyone about this podcast and group as my friends because they are! Rockarolla!

Dude I’m not a music guy per say but I freaking love your show!!
You are so well spoken and well researched and freaking entertaining. Your love and enthusiasm for this stuff shines and I can’t help but enjoy EVERY episode I listen to of yours - even and especially if I have absolutely no idea of the subject matter. I usually stick to WW2 history stuff but you are the wild card genre that has pulled me in hard. Thank you. You’re awesome.

    Very Well Done!
I happened upon this podcast some time ago.. I think it’s been several months since I’ve heard it for the first time— Bobby Brown. That’s the episode I heard & have been listening since! It’s well researched & presented. It’s like an edgy version of Inside the Actor’s Studio! You won’t regret giving this your ear! 5 state all the way!

The Alfred Hitchcock episode alone 👀
Well researched. Well written. Well narrated. After listening to this, I don’t see people can watch A.H. movies anymore. What a malicious creep! A.H. was basically Weinstein 40 years prior.
  • Ian Sr
    Well written and narrated
Found this podcast by searching Guns n Roses. The teo oart episode on GNR is fantastic and convinced me to subscribe.

The more I listen the more I like
Really enjoyed your Al Pacino pod cast. I think one of the greatest roles that Donald Southern ever played was when he was engineering the train as Jesus, taking the troops off to World War I in the film “Johnny got his gun” written by Dalton Trumbo. Long haired Sutherland playing Jesus while screaming out the window wailing.! Not to be missed and hard to find, but worth it!
  • FOUNDPUNK
    I never thought…
I never thought I’d be into the “celebrity” world, because of all the ugly consumerism and narcissism, but this Podcast keeps me wanting to know more about what goes on behind the scenes. And I start seeing celebrities as more than just tabloid fodder and plastic people. Thanx, bro!
  • Megann Lock
    Great writing and style
I love that I don’t feel like I’m listening to a script written by AI. Great work! Love all your picks for topics. Awesome variety.

    Eminem made… music..??!!
Come on bro you have to admit E made great music. Now, that doesn’t mean you have to like it. I love the show!!! Keep it up!!!
  • SLP EO
    Has potential
Could be interesting, but it’s really hard to listen to the host’s voice as it trails off and is almost inaudible at the end of each sentence. Makes it very difficult to listen to.
  • Andygirlll
    Unparalleled story telling
I love love love this podcast. Familiar fascinating stories, but told with insight and details I’ve not heard anywhere else! I’m addicted!
  • Smiduski
    Great Storytelling
I love listening to this lighthearted storytelling podcast. Jake has great voice for narrating and his back ground in music for scoring the show is intoxicating. Great for listening everywhere even if trying to relax and fall asleep
