Joshua Sykes =]Love-Love-Love this!I sincerely love learning through this podcast! — Episodes 4 & 9 about economics entitled “(In)Efficiency” and “Demeritocracy” are especially educational. “Secular Salvations” is another great episode too! — Thank you, Zachary Davis!! 🙏

Citizen SandersThis may be my new favorite podcastFascinating themes and stories, well told. Excellent guests and perfect length for a daily podcast

lee riesMinistry of Ideas struggles with diversity of ideasI am drawn to this kind of dialogue and had hoped to get to the point where new ideas and ways of seeing the world would be something I engaged it. However, the guests on this show are overwhelmingly male, and that tired cannon of thought is something I no longer respond to and am not very curious about anymore.

Byrd NickHad potential but never seemed to realize itI wanted to like this show. Tried it for years, struggling with it’s less than careful claims, mistakes in audio editing, and intermittent tendency to cover topics that are already over-covered. I lost patience for it during the series on meaning making. There’s just too much good content out there to continue giving my time to podcasts that can’t seem to compete. That said, I’m sure that many other people may enjoy this podcast, especially if they are interested in religion but have yet to study it formally for any extended period of time.

MazyJWhat I was searching forThis is just what I was searching for. Great exploration of the places where ideas, history, religion and politics meet. Providing glimpses of the places we often get stuck, and ways to possibly move forward.

RichardradChallenging, insightful and funTruly a big picture podcast. With open-minded curiosity and great intelligence, Zachary invites listeners to challenge our core beliefs and concepts about how we live our lives. At times playful, and highly unorthodox, "Ministry of Ideas" strips away the old and peeling paint on the wall of ideas, bringing us back to the primer: What matters most.

Horse Racing is legal again!Highly recommendedMinistry of Ideas is thoughtful in a way that cuts through all the conventional wisdom we usually hear. It makes me think deeply every episode.

Z. Allen AbbottAnother great way to connect with Harvard Divinity SchoolOne thing that sets HDS apart from similar schools - seminaries and theological schools - is its scope. This podcast looks at big picture concepts across time and faith traditions. It discusses commonalities and contemporary implications. It is supported with the superb resources of HDS and the university. This is an excellent contribution to our knowledge base of religious pluralism and literacy. Thank you, HDS! Z. Allen Abbott

BennyboyheadPlease fix the volume issuesI’m really enjoying the podcast, but the un-even audio levels in some of your episodes are quite jarring and even distracting. Please please do a final mix of the audio before publishing your episodes. Make sure the narration has the same volume level as the interview excerpts.

-
PKutneyFavorite podcast right nowI don’t think there’s much out there that is more thoughtful or well written than this.
-
Lucy FiascoEngaging, informative, and funPrevailing ideas in modern society don’t come from nowhere. What this podcast does is break down a prevalent idea, and trace its history through different cultures and belief systems. Fun without being irreverent.
-
FaceupandsingAn eloquent podcast for a thinking worldEvery episode of this show is like a humanist sermon, delivered with confidence and intelligence. Zach Davis is a thoughtful and compelling host, and he’s literally changing the way I look at world. Looking forward to lots more.

Rachel_AnnThought-provoking yet conciseI especially enjoy the way the podcast links contemporary issues with timeless big ideas and debates, describing how their long intellectual histories bring us to where we are today. I'd love to see more non-Western intellectual history and perspectives too.

juzz beanCurious and Thought Provoking! The "Ministry of Ideas" Podcast is exactly what you would want in an amazing podcast: a hub of thought-provoking ideas about the complex society we live in. It's highly addictive and intellectually stimulating and will inspire you look at the world differently. Looking forward to more episodes in the future!
-
maesorenGets me thinking and wonderingTakes the standard assumptions of my daily life and gives them historical context about how ideas developed and how each has been shaped into its current form. Makes me realized nothing is inevitable about what seems normal.
-
Sean_863Bite-sized "Invisibilia"Though I'm reviewing this podcast after only two episodes have been released, "Ministry of Ideas" is shaping up to be an insightful, deftly-produced 'cast. Both episodes have provided a fresh perspective on topics I hadn't considered before. The show explores the hidden ideas that shape the world, much like "Invisibilia." Episodes have been short so far, but they are packed with information and great interviews with experts. The succinctness of this show is one of it's many triumphs. I recommend this show and eagerly await future episodes!
-
danacbellSo fun!I love this podcast--each episode has been interesting, engaging, and fun! Have enjoyed it immensely and always look forward to new episodes! I think it's great.

alauderGreat podcast by an even greater personAfter listening to the first episode of “Ministry of Ideas,” I cannot think of anything else I want to be playing through my headphones as I perform the several tasks life requires of me. The podcasts emphasizes the question of how ideas come about, which includes several other sub-questions like where do those ideas take us, what or who shapes those ideas, and how we think about the ideas of others. If the topic of ideas does not draw you to listen, Zach should do the trick. I met Zach over a year ago, and I was struck by his imaginative ideas and his formal command of expressing them. Zach is a wonderful person who is always concerned with the wellbeing of others and always treats people with the utmost respect. The only flaw with the podcast is that they don’t have enough episodes that will allow me to listen 24 hours a day and 7 days a week.
