    It used to be good
Started listening early 2022 and loved tuning in when it had Dr Crack, Conner, Lefty and the occasional guest. Now it’s just Paul advertising nooffseason.com and other sponsors over and over again. I just listened to a recent episode and he said, I quote “We’re here to help you but we want your money”, and also is asking listeners to tip him. Paul, check out the other negative reviews, go back to the original concept, it worked and people liked it.

    Love listening and dig Chase
Love the insight and have enjoyed diving in on the Roadshow guys as well. Enjoy intelligent sports card talk without unnecessary drama, keep it up!

    50/50
Content is great, Very informative but the cost is having to listen to an infomercial about memberships and paywalls once you actually get focused on the topic at hand.

    Awful but awesome
Paul Paul Paul idk where to start. The show and the concept of it is awesome and really helps a lot of people. But that fact that this big head is reading sponsors and shoutouts for the first 10 minutes of the show is awful. All he cares about is himself and making money. Dudes a clown but everyone else on the show is great! Would love a show without the first ten minutes being ads and shoutouts.

    Used to be good
It’s a constant infomercial from Paul about what they offer behind the pay wall. Definitely solid content but 50% of it is selling the brand and services. The episodes could easily be half the time. I was skipping the first 10 minutes but it became too much.

    Not what it once was
I really enjoyed this podcast a year ago but has been going downhill. Other than Paul, people keep leaving the pod Dr Crack, Connor, etc. More than a trend at this point…

    Every Episode is an Infomercial
When not reading ads for partner products, the “content” is non-stop plugs for his subscription service. No valuable information or even entertaining conversation. I have no idea how this is considered a podcast instead of an infomercial.

    Constant plug
I had high hopes for this pod, and some of the content is great, if you have the patience to sift through the constant plugging of their premium membership. It’s every other sentence. I wanted to learn the best way to track my collection, so I tried to listen to that episode, and slowly realized it was one big commercial. I got duped. Dude needs to chill.

    The formula
Great context, love the info, please try your best to reference “the formula” less than 150 times per show as it’s starting to feel like and Informercial

Small Business Strategy - sports card strategy
If anyone complains about Paul and his team adding sponsorship and growing the brand then you have missed the forest for the trees. Buying and flipping anything is starting a business. If it’s a hobby for you only then find another place to learn. If you want to take an idea and grow it into a business, you can call your own, then listen to SCSS. I assume folks forget that these guys started way back before covid and are still here (while so many others have vanished to the void). “Green and growing not ripe and rotting” Loni J. Conley

    Too many ads
Content is solid, just skip through the first 15 minutes of ads. A few plugs is fine, but this is excessive and annoying.

    Some times worth a listen
Spend to much time talking to their YouTube audience, promoting their sales, and patting each other on the back. Not enough time really talking through specific strategy they profess to offer. Often show close to 2 hours with 30 minutes of actual information.

A little bit of insight buried under a bunch of ads
If I wrote a review six months ago it probably would have been much more glowing but in recent months the show has gone downhill fast. Episodes run over long and Paul the main host seems more enamored with plugging other revenue streams than actually providing insight. In a recent episode I shut off halfway through after multiple plugs for a grading company, market movers app, their friends at Graybo’s, their memberships at nooffseason.com, and a repeated phrase of “this is why you listen to the sports card strategy show. Don’t get me wrong there is some good content mainly being provided by Lefty and Chad that actually shows a degree of research and genuine love for the hobby. But being infested by the auditory version of a pop up add every 3 minutes if very off putting. Stick to a top of show and mid-roll sponsor cut and stop trying to make everything about product placement. I want to keep being a listener but it’s hard to sift through 90-120 minutes of time for the few nuggets of good content that pop up here and there.

    Best sports card podcast!
This is exactly what I was looking for as a football card investor. I’ve kind of wasted my time with other sports card investor pods that don’t know the ins and outs of studying the game. Thanks guys!!!

    Different takes
Just found this and very happy to get this into the rotation. They make takes based on long term trends. Sure, some will be wrong, but I’d rather this then another show about hobby news. Keep it up!
