Congrats Lindsey from the 3rd place woman!
I’m a long time listener of the podcast but especially loved the most recent episode with Lindsey Bradley. I was the 3rd overall woman at Indy and it was fun to hear about the front of the race. And it’s always great to hear about other women who are trying to train hard while having full-time jobs and lives outside running. Thanks for a great episode!

A great podcast with relatable guests
I absolutely love Matt’s interview style. Great questions that lead to natural conversation. His episodes cover a wide variety of runners, including every day people we can all relate to. A must listen every week!

Solid advice in an entertaining format
Definitely my new favorite running podcast, very relatable with practical advice for runners of all kinds. Great guests and Matt brings out the best in each of them

My review about my dad‘s podcast
My Dad has the best podcast in the whole he works so hard on it every day. (and just for clarification, my dad is Matthew Chittim a.k.a. The Rambling Runner Podcast.)

    Just a great running podcast!
I really like the wide variety of guests Matt has on, and I feel like he asks really thoughtful questions.

    Title is fitting
Decent content. Wish the host wouldn’t try to answer the question of the the guests while asking a question.

One of the best running podcasts
This has quickly become one of my favorite running podcasts! Matt has such an eclectic mix of guests with different stories and challenges (most of them are amateurs who are both relatable yet have extraordinary and motivational backgrounds). I also love following Matt’s own ups and downs in training and totally get the “do I do the long run or mow the lawn first this weekend” eternal debate.

    Shoe segment
Love Matt’s new shoe segment at end of pod!!

    Thank you!
Thank you Matt for covering this topic! I was outraged and this obvious profiling in Boston yesterday. I ran Boston in 2018 for the first time and it broke my heart and outraged me that this would happen here and now! Thank you for being apart of those speaking out against this!

    Good podcast
Matt is very enthusiastic!! However, sometimes I feel like it is just about McKirdy runners.
  • Patrick C Anderson
    My favorite running podcast
Matt does a great job on this pod, and is a nice blend of humble and interesting. I really enjoy the introspective way he looks at his own running in his solo episodes. With a few exceptions, hearing about professional runners recent races doesn’t do it for me, but give me a hard working amateur balancing the stresses of life while chasing big running goals and I’m all in.

    Cannot Say Enough Good Things!
Toward the beginning of Covid, I discovered running podcasts, and The Rambling Runner was one of the first ones I came across. Up to that point in my life, I was a VERY casual, intermittent runner, probably averaging about 10 miles/week, and occasionally signing up for a local 5k or 10k. I had done a handful of half marathons over the years, but mostly before having our 3 boys. I had a 13.1 PR of 1:47:53 from 2008 (pre-kids), and never imagined it would be possible to get back to that fitness level. Then comes The Rambling Runner Podcast. I began listening to story after story after story of “dedicated, amateur runners” who, just like me, had a unique connection with running, but also many various responsibilities pulling them in different directions. I couldn’t get enough of these stories. I started following all of these runners on Instagram, and gradually discovered the entire running community that exists on social media. I was blown away time after time to hear stories about “ordinary” people like me, doing extraordinary things in the running space. After hearing dozens of these stories, I started to realize that there was nothing preventing ME from being one of THOSE people. I worked up the courage to hire a coach (Andi

    Political views
Don’t wish to listen to a running podcast to listen to political views. Was a fan of this podcast. Not so much any longer.

    Kimberlie McBride
I think I’ve listened to just about every RR episode, and I enjoy the variety- amateur runners, shoe reviews, success and failure stories, just relating to others who all share similar struggles as we pursue this port we love. Just wanted to write a quick review about Kimberlie’s episode, though. A great story of battling back through health issues and a long layoff- and keeping a positive perspective. I think her quote on negative self-talk “I don’t think any of us deserve to talk to ourselves that way” is something we all need to be reminded of.

    Love it but…
I love the regular podcast but I absolutely hate the love for the run series. I just don’t care about any of the banter or your family jams.

    Dr Jess Mena
Really enjoyed the interview with Dr. Jess Mena. As someone who grew up running in the San Fernando Valley (and I see it from my office as I write this), the region of LA she was describing, it was fun to be so familiar with the places she was describing. Only thing it isn’t as hot as she says. It is bad but only from June to October.
  • Stephen Hebs
    Every episode is an
interview of an uber-privileged white women humble bragging about their weekly mileage
  • Maekolet
    My favorite running podcast!
There are a lot of running podcasts but this one continues to be my favorite. I enjoy hearing from runners with a wide range of experience and ability.

    One of my favorites!
Rambling Runner is one of my favorite podcasts. Matt always has such interesting guests and topics - love his interviews as well as his solo episodes regarding his training, panels discussing shows, live shows - love it all! He asks the best questions and I always learn things from the episodes. Highly recommend!

    Best Running related Podcast
Amazing Podcast! As an amateur runner it’s wonderful to be able to get advice and perspectives of professional competitive runners. Especially it’s bits that I can utilize in my day to day training. Keep up the great work!

    Rambling Awesomeness
Amesome host and content! I love when he interviews real runners who have accomplished things they couldn’t imagine possible as well as grounded inspiring elites. Matt is awesome and so is is rambling runner style. Love the show!!!!!
  • LizH65
    Great host, interesting show!
This is a really great show - lots of great interviews with interesting everyday runners as well as professionals in the running industry. Matt is a thoughtful, real and smart host - I appreciate his honesty and care he obviously puts into bringing on great guests and preparing for interviews.
  • FraggleWrangler
    A must listen!
Love this show so much! Matt really has a special talent for digging into a runner’s life and pulling out the interesting stories that make the rest of us amateurs feel seen. I actually LOVE that he mostly interviews amateur, everyday people/runners. The pros are cool, and there’s a few of them on here too, but it feels so special to be learning from some of the lesser known athletes’ journeys. Go listen!
  • K Ergen

    Great Podcast
I love this podcast! Great guests and topics to listen to during my runs. Thank you!

    Fantastic Podcast for Runners
Always inspiring and interesting to listen to the convos of other amateur runners doing big things. Matt’s interview style allows listeners to really get lost in the conversation (in a good way). As many others have said, the Rambling Runner has become a easy/long/solo run companion I look forward to bringing along with me each week. Awesome show! Thanks Matt!
  • Alligator423uf
    Give it a listen!
I love Matt’s interview style and the humor he brings while still discussing serious topics in the world of running. I also love that there is a space for amateur runners to shine as well!
  • mario great, podcast good
So happy to hear Ankita Gaur; finally not another white woman
I find Matt’s style and engagement very interesting. Unfortunately most of his guests skew toward skinny white women and are not inclusive at all. Hence, I was so happy to hear his podcast with Ankita Gaur - it was so important to hear her perspective. You could tell by how profusely she thanked Matt that this really mattered. You never hear that from most of his white privilege guests. Please continue to have more people of color on the show!
  • Quickfixer!!!
    Weekly routine!
Matt is part of my daily and weekly routine - obsessed with the content he’s able to produce. Episodes are always interesting / inspiring and the perfect thing to listen to running or any other time.

    Loved the Boston rerun!
Very entertaining conversation with Des all about Boston 2018! I was feeling sluggish but held on for 9 miles so I could hear this whole podcast (run took little longer than podcast!) thanks Matt and Des! BTW- Des is the best podcast guest right now!
  • mallory_wordell

    Goal setting
David Roche was awesome. His talk was perfect reminder of what we are really striving for here and why. Also the great importance of properly framing our journey for the sake of joy and emotional well being. Thanks for this,
  • Saladisbest
    Love this podcast!
It’s so nice to hear runners from all levels talk about their running experiences. The conversations are relatable and interesting. I love listening when I’m running solo, I feel like I’m running with friends!
  • T17392
Love the running, the constant parenting advice is frustrating
I was recommended this podcast by a friend, so I am relatively new. For the most part I enjoy hearing about people’s journeys throughout the sport of running. However, sometimes it feels like this is 90% a parenting podcast with a tiny bit of running on the side. If parenting is a key part of their running journey that’s interesting to include, but if I wanted a parenting podcast I’d find one.
  • Runnerchiccy1818
    Inspiring and Motivating

    Really excellent show!
Great guests, content & perspective from Matt. It’s a refreshing and unique mix of people in and around the running community.

    I’m just like them!
I love how Matt chooses his guests: the everyday runner looking to better themselves, in life and running. His podcast has been an open invitation to meet new people, discover new interests, and trying out new products. I appreciate all that Matt does to reach his audience and always look forward to his conversations!
