For years Phil has been a great driving companion while on the road and a favorite You Tube channel when I’ve been lucky enough to have time to watch!

Love Phil’s show. Been a YT subscriber for years, great to be able to download and listen on the go. I always learn something valuable in every episode.

I’ve listened to every episode of KYG and appreciate Phil passing along his knowledge, expertise and opinions. His YouTube channels are helpful as well and given me the confidence to fix and/or mod some guitars. Thanks KYG!

If the boring repetition of 'insider' subjects and brands doesn't repel you, wait until the fifth time in one episode that the host deploys his verbal tic, the redundant 'is', as in "The thing about Fender izzizz bleet loop." Didn't think izzizz was a word? It izzizz now!

Know Your Gear is a great resource for those looking to learn about guitar maintenance and the guitar sales industry. Phil’s takes are unusually candid for a podcast, and he has the experience and know-how to back them up. If you catch his love show, he’s always open to questions, and nearly never runs ads or has sponsored content.

I appreciate Phil for all of the great guitar information from a guy that seems to genuinely care for his audience. Great perspective and he always seek to contextualize to where you might be as a player. Highly recommended!

Jesus is not a swear word. I’d appreciate it if you’d stop using it in your podcasts. 2 out of the last 3 podcasts you’ve let it slip by. Other than that I love your podcast!!! I wouldn’t be writing this if I didn’t care.

More consistency in terms of release cycle would be nice (most podcasts come out weekly on a schedule), and for crissakes, dial back on the ads. Holy cow, do you really need that many per episode?

Been watching Phil on YouTube for a bit so hitting up the podcast just made sense. A great feel of community, and no episode goes by where I don’t learn something, big or small. Just a great thing to listen to while driving or even doing tech work on my guitars. Love it!

I enjoy this podcast, and I doubt this will reach Phil, but please stop smacking after a drink it’s very very annoying!

Phil’s Podcast is so good my wife likes to tune in with me. I’ve learned a lot and no longer feel guilty about all the gear I buy.

Love it times 100 says it all, and, how about settin up Skype calls while you are workin yourself and pushing record to capture content as you go. Great stuff Phill, for all these years!

A breath of fresh Arizona air.

Phil has a positive attitude and doesn’t pander in the negativity I hear on many podcasts. He knows his stuff without sounding like a jerk.

I have been watching Phil’s videos on YouTube for months. He combines industry insight, hardcore guitar geekiness, and a candid communication style that makes his content a pleasure to listen to and watch. I particularly appreciate how even in the rare cases when he’s opinionated about something and with all the authority he could appeal to because of years and years of experience, he’s very open to different opinions. This makes for a very healthy exchange of ideas and a great atmosphere in the community who follows him. The content and tone is varied (within the bounds of guitar and the music gear industry) and frequently updated and relevant. I find myself listening to this during commutes, workouts, as background chatter, or doing house chores all the same.

Personally, for me this is my favorite pod. Phil is a great resource to us guitar players! I learn something every time I listen to KYG. I’ve done a lot of guitar repairs I usually would pay other people to do thanks to Phil. Took me a few to warm up to Phil, but he grows on you. You realize “there’s no stupid questions” with him and he always treats people with respect with their questions. I wish the guy all the success in the world. He’s put in the work and he deserves it! Subscribe to this channel if you play guitar!!!!!!

Good guitar talk for when you’re doing the dishes.

I watched Phil a few times on YouTube and listened to him “on and off” periodically... I listened him the the other day and besides the fact that we have almost the exact same amps, he said a few things that struck me and revealed to me who this guy really is - first and for most he seems like a very genuine and caring person and that’s awesome and immediately made me a fan! I learned so much about him during the 2 episodes that just made me want to watch more. Phil is extremely knowledgeable, great content and a pretty darn good player when he plugs in. I’ve been binging and will continue to support this guy! Thank you for everything Phil - GREAT show!!! Scott

Love the podcast and youtube channel, but the size of your downloaded files for this podcast are huge! Especially compared to other podcasts with longer episodes. Otherwise thumbs up!
