Is this show about the guests or the host?
I was one of the crew members who worked on The Zombie Wedding and I was looking forward to his interview with the director, Micah Khan. However the host, Josh tends to monopolize the interview talking about himself and his own filmmaking career. Also there are too many abrupt ad breaks when people are mid-sentence.

Love the show, Only one small complaint.
I love the kind of filmmakers that Josh has on. There are some great low budget filmmakers that offer up some great advice, and insight on the process, while also highlighting some great experiences. My only complaint is that Josh (the host will often interject his own stories/experiences after a guest brings up a similar story/experience, and in a way cut off the guest and what they were saying. It seem like he’s not interviewing so much as he’s just waiting for a moment for him to start talking as if he is the one being interviewed. This does happen frequently. I like Josh, and I like his movies, I understand why he does it. He’s just trying to relate to their situation and create a conversation rather than a plain interview, I get that, I do not think he’s a bad host. I just think he should hold back and let the guests share their experience, and he should be more active in asking questions and really highlighting the guest. I hope this a constructive review. I think what might work great, is Josh really focus on the interviewing, and then after, if he thinks of any stories that popped into his head. maybe he record it either at the beginning or end of the podcast in a monologue style that touches on the same themes/topics of the interview. I think that would still offer some great stories from Josh and the guest without ruining the flow of the interview.

    Love it
The best podcast for punk rock, DIY filmmakers who share a mutual disdain for Pierce Brosnan. -Not Dracula

    Watch out for this guy!
Josh Stifter is a name to remember. His first two features are amazing. Watch for “The Good Exorcist”, in particular. It is a wonderful look at absurdist cinema. It turns out he is an excellent on-air personality as well and brings out engrossing conversations with other indie filmmakers. If you want to know more about what is happening under the mainstream propaganda cinema world, this podcast is a great place to start.
