Big fan of the show, Mr Seltzer is a thoughtful host, I tend to get something out of each episode, a new data point to argue out in my head as I do dishes, etc. todays episode with Roger Mcnamee has taken this next level, I have stopped and rewound and listened and then stopped, rewound again, and gave it a third listen, McNamee makes a compelling argument and on a topic I was so sure I had fairly strong, clear ideas about. AI as a model of how the tech economy’s push for monopolistic power and in doing so, fails to create a technology that can add value, as opposed to profiting at the expense of the users. It’s very Victorian, I sort of didn’t even realize that I have been blindly presuming the value of ai was just unclear to me, that it would soon be obvious. Anyway, wow, great guest great episode. It’s so refreshing to hear McNamee’s take, he’s def left me with a new perspective. Bravo!

Brian loves to play the middle to garner the most ears and eyes. His rhetoric is old. He’s a straight, white and rich male. Stop pretending that you’re in a position to tell women, POC, LGBTQI+, etc how to feel. I used to like listening to you but no longer. Eventually VF will realize what CNN already has, you’re lost. Time for you to start a right wing blog.

Very disconcerting to hear this so guest generalize about how “resilient” the Columbine kids were after the tragedy. Talk to, listen to, and review the research on the PTSD, trauma, depression experienced in the months, years, and now a quarter century later, by many of the students and teachers who were there, as well as the secondary survivors such as parents and siblings. Gut wrenching.

Excellent choice of guest giving practical insights into government - good & bad. Brian Steltser is a great host . Poses excellent thoughtful questions And gives guest plenty time to answer.

Thank you for having this Senator on. He sounded sane and rational which is what we need now.

Molly sounds like she made up her list of queries fifteen minutes before the interview and needs a vocal coach badly. Brian dials it in. Thankfully the interview subjects save you by conjuring a point to your questions. The Vanity Fair name is also helping. Do the work.

I really enjoyed how Brian Stelter elevated Reliable Sources on CNN, and I was pleased to find him hosting this podcast for Vanity Fair. He has always driven smart, engaging conversations that look at multiple viewpoints.

This podcast gives a good insight into different aspects of the media and its role on politics and society. The negative reviews from people are simply knee jerk responses to anything that they can’t understand or process. These people have cognitive dissonance to the fullest extent. Give the podcast a listen if you want to discern the current state of social, political and cultural affairs.

Also, Brian’s stint on CNN hosting ‘Reliable Sources’ was often plagued by the exact faults that Micael Wolff called him out for on that show in 2021. Brian is showing improvement in tone on ‘Inside the Hive’. Less patronizing toward guests who may not genuflect toward his opinions.

I very much enjoyed Brian’s analysis on CNN, so was tickled when he appeared on this podcast. He offers the same no-nonsense analysis here. What I like best is these are 30 minutes - not an hour fueled with fluff. He gets right to the point, he has interesting guests, and addresses intriguing topics. A must-listen is his latest with the two Harvard professors who talk about their book “Tyranny of the Minority.” Loved it and listened to it twice.

I have loved all the iterations of this show with the various hosts. Currently, I am enjoying Brian Stelter’s analysis. Vanity Fair was smart in snatching him. It’s CNN’s loss.

Looks terrible as a short morbidly obese man!!! Since when did you marketing strategists forget that charisma and looks take precedent among the electorate?! That’s why people are being prejudiced by the media re: Joe. He is no older much than Trump. I prefer healthier looking Joe! Pritzker looks gross and his last name is just as bad.

Why on earth did you replace Emily Jane Fox with this simpleton? The show is sooooo dumbed down now. The interviews are mediocre at best since the change. May give this show (and this simpleton) one more episode, and if it continues to provide zero added value on the events of the day, I’ll simply reluctantly move on.

Brian, very informative podcast. I would suggest you might want to learn more about people with substance abuse problems such as alcohol. Substance abuse changes the brain. It is one of the reasons why people with substance abuse have a difficult time with cognitive abilities and self-awareness. Rudy unfortunately appears to have problems in that area and if you do some investigative work, you’ll find out many people that are in the limelight, including politicians have substance-abuse problems.

Brian was great on CNN. Reliable Sources is missed. But glad we have Hive podcast.

I miss Emily Jane Fox, et al. Brian S is good for reporting on the machinations of media entities/process/etc. For current cultural buzz or deep dive profiles, I don’t feel this is his “beat”.

Must confess I was a sporadic listener in the past , but now that Brian Stelter has arrived I never miss an episode… professional newscaster/interviewer knows the right questions to ask….

05:11 “I hesitate…” sadly not enough hesitation lol. She may be changing but I can’t agree she’s evolving. A week after this interview dropped, MTG crossed another line in a congressional hearing when she held up a large picture of Hunter Biden in a sexual act. Her line of questioning was may have been meant to humiliate the Biden’s, maybe cause Biden supporters to rethink their support, but it was essentially irrelevant to proceedings. Besides her actions possibly being criminal it was juvenile and disrespectful to the congressional body itself. I’m not convinced that she actually understands what her job is supposed to be.

I’m a great admirer of Brian Stelter and miss Reliable Sources very much. He is largely the reason I listen to this podcast.

Tried to listen to “Who Actually Still Wants to Be an Influencer?” episode and gave up due to repeated use of the word “like” by the cohosts. It was so over-the-top I started to wonder if it was intentional because they were discussing Barbie. Delia and Natalie are intelligent women but they come off sounding the teenagers at the mall. Please ladies, take this note.

Please don’t let Brian Stelter be the new host. He is a rather insufferable character. Otherwise, high quality podcast and interesting topics

Why screaming at the audience? I’m sure was great content but cannot listen to someone screaming at me.

Wow. I was so happy when I heard Emily and Joe back on the podcast— and then so sad when I heard it would be their last. Ya think you could do a podcast once a quarter maybe? Seriously, you did a great job. Think about it.

I will very much miss hearing Joe Hagan and Emily Jane Fox moderate and discuss important and varied topics in their informed and thoughtful conversations with guests and each other. They contributed to getting me through the challenge of Covid’s early years with my sanity intact. Because of their fine work on this podcast, I subscribed to Vanity Fair magazine. I love how this professor called out junk scholarship. As a professor of critical thinking, I’ve listened to a couple podcasts about Yarvin and his ilk, and I concur: they’re cobbling together a flawed ideology and using models to selll it to fools. Pogue seems more like their shill than a muckraker.

Thoughtful interview by EJF. Plenty of hard lessons to learn from intolerable sexist media abuse.

You are so biased about how well Biden is doing. How can you totally ignore the problem at the border? The State of the Union had multiple inaccuracies. Joe - Wow! You just made fun of female elected representatives based on what they were wearing. Really? You had the Hunter Biden show - yet no follow-up on when it was found the laptop does exist. Crime is spiking yet you guys hold no one accountable. It is more important to make snide comments about the Trumps and other’s fashion. The Trumps and fashion are irrelevant if you have been robbed.

I always look forward to this podcast I enjoy it very very much the hosts are lively and informed and fun and funny and expressive I feel like I’m sitting in my living room with wonderfully entertaining guests.
