    Agenda based interviews
I listen because somehow she is able to land some great CEOs to interview. But every interview, she tries to corner CEOs into talking about politics. And every interview she asks some flavor of “has capitalism failed us?” She would do better to have a bit more tact and not a point to prove. She is the interviewer but acts as if she is a content and narrative administrator.

    What’s wrong with our world
This show is one big advertisement for horrible, giant corporations. When important matters like workers, the environment and fairness come into the mix those questions are always softball pitches. I listen with disgust as executives were treated like they are such great gifts to society and not the greedy scourges on the planet and our greatest downfall. Responsible capitalism is dead and the media is all for it.

    EXCELLENT
the interview of CEO of Delta was deeply moving and interesting. Your questions brought out the facts, the feelings, and the future of this airline. I fly for my work and have been working from home fearing the thought of flying. I would fly delta tomorrow because of your program. Thank you.

    Not A Gates Fan
Please invite a guest that will provide a counter argument to the dangerous vaccines the Gates propose.

    Good, but missing one thing.
This podcast needs to get Poppy Gloria on this podcast! She would add so much to the conversation. I imagine it’s hard to book someone who is such a high profile figure in this day and age but I think this podcast has the pull to do that. I think she is the one guest that could make this a podcast for the ages.

    Theme Song?
Never listened to the podcast, yet. Only know ads for it from listening to Tapper or Cuomo, forget which. Sounds like some good topics for a podcast. What I really need to know is how to play this song without words over it and turn it up. Love that background music and want to play it on its own. Couldnt find on youtube. Help me out!?
  • Phoenix, AZ loves you!
    Eileen Fisher, what the what?!
I have listened to a ton of your shows, Poppy, but that happened with the Eileen Fisher interview?! Wow, she is so mono-toned and BORING to listen to!! She totally blew the interview. So painful to listen to, so I deleted that episode. Please pick more charismatic people! Thank you!

One of the most informative podcasts available
I love this entire series (and not just because I am a fellow Minnesotan). I first began listening to the episodes during my daily walks and it quickly became one of my favorites. Poppy Harlow’s guests are varied and interesting to begin with, and Ms. Harlow’s obviously in-depth preparation and her friendly yet probing interview technique result in content that is both informative regarding the interviewee as well as thought provoking. I can’t recommend this series highly enough.

    Carly / Warren
Thought your interviews with Carly & Warren Buffet were standouts among your portfolio - for different reasons. Ditto vote on interviewing Botin

    Ana Botín
Hi Mrs Harlow, I loved all your interviews. I would like to propose an interview to Ana Botín, chairwoman of Banco Santander. I think it would be great. Best regards Javier Sagi-Vela

    Smart, gentle, assertive.
Intelligent interviews with interesting personalities. Poppy Harlow leads the interview with gentle and assertive journalism. No boring cliches or millennial treacle.

    Impressive guests, very scripted interviewer
I do listen to this sporadically as they manage to get some of the most impressive business guests on this show (thanks to being CNN), but Poppy is just such an unremarkable interviewer. Despite having such impressive credentials (honestly would not have realized from just listening to these), the interviews come off very scripted and demure. There’s only been one interview of the dozens I’ve heard so far where I felt she really tried to challenge and drive the topic forward- otherwise she sits back, accepts what they say, and throws out one prepared question after another. Nothing against that, but when you’re in a podcast format and have an opportunity to go deep with such guests, why stick to very traditional and linear TV or article like ways of questioning? My sense is she also relies a lot on the list of prepped questions from her team, and while being relatively informed on the topics, is never quite enough to engage a thoughtful dialog. Even the questions on being a woman (as one who worked in Finance as much as I support them) feel jammed and predictable in that she always asks and it’s like a prepped way of showing how “forward thinking” she is. For the simple reason that all this boils down to very boring and only basically informative interviews that are far from their potential, I have to knock this down a couple stars.

    She is unlistenable.
The interviewees and guests line-up are great but the host is a total pain to listen to. She clearly had some coaching on what her annoying personality traits were but she still much more to go. The humble bragging, name dropping and self spotlighting still remains. Sheesh.

    Great!
Wonderful interviews - thoughtful and insightful conversations and always come away learning something new.

    Goop interview
I really enjoyed this interview. I think I heard sides of GP that I didn't know about. I thought the interview Poppy conducted was well rounded and well done. The only slight negative I would say is the ending was focused on a good husband helping run a good business. It was a bit sexist and unnecessary. I think GP and other female CEOs may extol the benefits of a good partner. But it sounded to me that she built and continues to run a successful business regardless of her marital situation.

    Informative, Entertaining, Smart
I only recently began listening to Poppy Harlow (the first episode I heard was the Kara Swisher interview) and can't get enough of these intelligent, informative often humorous interviews. I'm a mom of three young boys, ex-mid-level investment banker (now trying to relaunch my career) and really appreciate the questions Poppy asks and how they range from smart, business questions to personal achievements and struggles. Keep them coming and thanks!

Ride share interview with John Zimmer
Why nobody ever ask him about Zimmer Ride that he’s started in L.A? He didn’t co-found Lyft he merge Zimmer ride with Lyft. And the reason Uber is not worry about the minimum wage is because Uber operated with legal licenses vehicles in the Uber Black and SUV and some Uber X also have a legal license to operate. When Lyft doesn’t operated with any legal vehicles, example Lyft create the Lyft Lux to compete with Uber Black but Lyft doesn’t require any limousine license for the top product, when Uber requires all the legal documents to operate in Uber Black and SUV platform. If minimum wages law and Lyft have to hired drivers as employees is the end of Lyft. Uber is 100% safe because of the Uber Black and SUV are all legal licenses in every state in the USA.

    Great interview
I’m a big Poppy Harlow fan base case. She’s intelligent, direct, on point, and asks insightful questions. I was also really impressed w the DSC founder. He was transparent, thoughtful, and had a nice vision that he could articulate. Great interview on both sides.

If you like “How I Built This”
Pretty good! Reminds me of NPR “How I Built This” with Guy Raz.

Stop trying so hard to get him to say negative stuff about other people
Poppy, the whole one-word response thing where you just give Howard names of politicians and just want his response. Really? It’s like you just want him to give you some negative tidbit about somebody personally that you can sensationalize. Give him some real words and not politician’s names and stop fishing for some negative gossipy tidbits. It’s unbecoming and unprofessional. Howard for his part handled it well.
  • ATMBSHTG
    Great content but bias
The content itself is pretty good and touches on some critical issues as well as good insight for personal improvement. However, I can’t stand when the tech industry is brought up and only 30% are female and 70%ale and it’s called an issue. Yet when discussing Kendra Scott and her business is 95% female it’s called great and a pioneer and nothing is wrong. If 70% male is an issue why is 95% female not an issue? Call it both ways, I agree we need equality but then don’t favor one side over another.

    Love the way Poppy Interviews
I’m not a huge Podcast fan. Candidly, I work and talk all day to clients and such - so more talking via a Podcast is the last thing I want to hear at the end of the day. That said, I thoroughly enjoy Poppy’s energy and interview style. Her mannerism and tone keep me engaged. The episodes I’ve listened to are not fluffy and tell a beautiful story from start to finish. Huge fan!

    Not as advertised
I love listening to entrepreneurs and business people discussing how to run and build a business. I thought this podcast would be that. After listening to 6 episodes I realized this is not a podcast about business, it's a podcast about injustices in business via sexism. Fine topic, but CNN should have marketed as such.
  • BrandyMB14
    Great
Great podcast, love listening to it while I run. Could you not ask the work life balance question, everyone answers it pretty much the same.

    Sad
    More like fake news.

    Mostly enjoy but one thing...
I like these interviews a lot! The one thing that drives me nuts, though, is that Poppy seems so overly focused on sexism in the workplace when speaking with female guests. Sometimes it takes away from the real conversation. Otherwise though I like the people & companies on and have listened to all of them.
  • KEbs23
    Great series!
Have greatly enjoyed all the episodes I’ve had an opportunity to listen to. Poppy clearly does a lot of work in advance and asks relevant/interesting questions. Her guests are top quality. Keep ‘em coming!
  • Commuter Ears
    Audio quality surprisingly POOR
Content is intriguing and I'm sure would be worth hearing, BUT the audio quality is so frustratingly poor I'm considering unsubscribing. Please FIX your audio - especially for guests!

    Go Poppy!
Great podcast and guests - love Poppy!!
  • Arezee89
    Great podcast, but...
My only critique relates to Poppy's interviewing style. I find her unnecessarily aggressive at times, and I think that there have been plenty of interviews during which she simply doesn't pay the appropriate homage deserved by some of her guests. At the end of the day, the quality of the information and insights shared by those interviewed outweigh the negatives, and I thoroughly enjoy tuning in!

    Behind the scenes
It's cool to hear more of these interviews from TV, than just what made it to air. So many interviews get cut just to fit on TV or online, but now we get to hear the whole thing! More please.

Nice leveraging of talent and access for the busy professional
I'm impressed by how well Poppy's talent for television translates to this audio only medium. The Warren Buffett interview is excellent and ranks up there with one of the best podcast episodes I've listened to in some time ... and I listen to a lot of them.
