    Outstanding! Science-based, practical, ethical
Great selection of topics, with a good variety of speakers, each allowed to share their expertise with nicely light-handed interview techniques by Melissa Breau. I learn so much, and am motivated to dive deeper. You needn’t be an agility hound to benefit. I’m just a pet owner working on reactivity, health, relationship, and joy. Even those episodes that are essentially previews of classes, outlining what will be taught, are useful — can’t wait to take one! All presenters I’ve heard have been super, but here’s a special shout-out to Irith Bloom for illuminating some complex cognition & emotion topics, and of course Denise Fenzi.

    Thank you, Melissa!
This might be my favorite dog podcast. I have such a HUGE appreciation for the host, Melissa! She does such a fantastic job interviewing guests without interrupting or making the show about her. I find it extremely distracting when other popular hosts constantly interrupt their guests to turn the focus back to themselves instead of letting the guest speak. The content is fantastic, I appreciate the lack of endless ads and I truly get something out of each episode. Thank you, Fenzi!

    An hour long infomercial
I listened regularly this year (2019) because I kept hoping that the next week would be different...but each week is just talking about this class or that class starting up and not much more than marketing for upcoming classes. Disappointed ☹️

Learning a ton about positive, healthy relationships with my dogs ... and humans too
Outstanding podcast - thanks! I have referred this podcast & the dog training academy to friends.

    Great podcast!
I’ve taken numerous classes at FDSA which are so informative and this podcast is no different. I’d recommend it to any dog person who wants to learn more about dog training and behavior!
  • Scatterbrained genius
    Always educational
I learn something useful from every podcast, and I’m hardly what you’d call a serious dog sports competitor. Anyone who enjoys training their dog on any level would enjoy this podcast.

    Informative and interesting
I love this podcast, it is one that I listen to religiously and I learn so much from it. Melissa asks great questions and doesn’t interrupt or cut off her guests. My one piece of constructive criticism is that Melissa often sounds a little stilted and nervous, as if she is trying to get to her next question. The laughs sound a little forced and her responses to the interviewee’s comments are generic. That being said, I’m listening as I’m typing this, and in the episode i’m listening to, I’m hearing some nice casual banter and a good segue to the next question, so maybe my comment is moot! Based on that observation, I bumped up my rating from 4 to 5 stars. Thanks for an overall great and informative podcast!

A One-Stop Shop for the Dog Sports Enthusiast
It's maddening, because every episode of this podcast gets me fired up about a different part of the dog sports world! This is a great resource for those who have just been bitten by the sports bug, or experienced competitors looking for something new. I always am able to apply tidbits from each episode to my training, though of course they leave me hungry for more!

I listen to all of the podcasts even if the instructor's sport isn't something I would do with my dog. There is always something new to learn from all of the guests. Melissa does a great job moderating the podcasts, too.

    Great Support for Dog owners
I struggle to keep my loose cannon of a spirited dog under control and still enjoying life with regular agility training and reading books like “Control Unleashed” and “Beyond the Back Yard” and the podcast gives me more motivation, reinforcement and confirmation to creating a focused and confident dog. I listen while walking the dog!
