JPeytonpdxThe best triathlon podcast out there!Love these guys! I’ve probably tried all triathlon and endurance related podcasts over the last three or four years, and I keep coming back to Robbie and Mike. Their real world approach to life, training, and being a human being translates in a one-of-a-kind conversation about this amazing sport. They don’t do sponsors, they don’t do ads, they just want us to be happy and healthy, and they keep showing up twice a week! Really worth giving them a try, hang out for three or four episodes to get their groove, and you won’t regret it! they’re the best!
-
Lobird99Odd CoupleCan’t listen anymore. Robbie brings insightful advice through intelligence born from adversity and study of the sport. Type A with compassion for those who are not. His counter part, Mike -Type C to the core, makes constant excuses as to why he is ALWAYs undertrained for race, offers little value to the podcast other than a “ I couldn’t agree with you more… “ How he coaches athletes and takes money from them is a mystery. Robbie… the dude helped you out in a low period but you’re too smart for this. Fly solo, you have the wings
-
DtwesterLove these guysThese guys are an absolute breath of fresh air in a podcast ecosystem full of way too much garbage content. No hidden agendas, no sponsors to please, just pure authentic conversation on sport, life, and happiness. Keep up the great work Robbie and Mike! Thank you!

AMS.1981if it ain't fun, why are you doing it?Game changing podcast when I found it. Coaches Mike and Robbie changed my mental approach to training by consistently emphasizing that you should be having FUN while training and racing. Their genuine friendship comes across in the podcast and further emphaiszes that training and racing is great but should never come at the expense of other priorities in life. Grateful for these guys and what they're doing, keep up the great work!

T MACcherola#691You gotta listen to it. Good stuff.

Justine ATInformative AND entertaining! There’s a treasure trove of helpful info in these podcast episodes. Huge bonus: it’s never boring! I’m still relatively new to triathlon and have learned so much from the Crushing Iron podcasts. It also stokes my enthusiasm for training. Thank you!
-
Yups2023Crushing Iron is Crushing it!I have gained so much knowledge listening to this podcast. I love the content, the ease of the conversation, they are funny, the information is gold and I have gained so much confidence from the chin up. I have been thinking of getting a coach from C26 because of the wealth of knowledge!! Thank you Robbie and Mike for sharing your experience and caring enough for your listeners.
-
JcwallerEnjoyable and motivationalCrushing Iron is an opportunity to learn about the behind-the-scenes thoughts of triathlon coaches —some of the good, some of the bad, and some of the ugly—but mostly uplifting and motivational. Keep up the good work, gents!

Matty K2000Best place for Triahlon information……I listen to a lot of triathlon related podcasts for entertainment, I love the sport. But rarely is there so much usable information in one place. It’s also a great format, just a couple of friends talking about a sport they love…and giving amazing advice along the way.
-
GGG1356Fan of the podcast but…I have been a fan of the podcast for the past several years and am I regular listener. However, recently Robbie has gotten extremely negative. He goes on rants that are hard to listen to. Not sure what he is going through but he seems like he doesn’t even enjoy coaching or triathlons anymore. Hopefully, he’ll get over what ever his issues are and the podcast can be enjoyable again.

Building(the ding is silent)Started logically - from day 1.I’ve been listening to current episodes for a while, decided to start from the beginning and work my way through. I’m a long time hobby triathlete, 66 years old and still training and racing. This podcast has been a godsend for me, as I’m largely a solitary athlete and am infrequently around other triathletes. I’m a vet of a lot of sprints, a lot of oly’s, a good handful of 70.3’s, and this past September, I completed my first full at Chattanooga. A lot of what I did to prep for that was straight out of this podcast. Thanks y’all, the early episodes are just as amazing as the new ones!
-
jimpstart11Audio MotivationCan’t wait for new episodes to be released! Robbie and Mike keep the conversation going. Robbie’s experience based observations are spot on, and when I’m thinking of skipping a day (for no good reason), I dial up up the archives and listing to Mike and Robbie and it gets me going. One disclaimer…if your feelings are easily hurt when someone is making an strong point that you feel is directed at you, you may want to skip ahead to the awesome closing tune.

taffy2001Not the positive podcast I needI was a coached athlete for a couple years. While training for long distance, it was great. But when I switched to sprints and Olympics, he went radio silent. I hence stopped coaching but kept listening to the podcast. After several months with a new coach and speaking with a therapist, we were trying to identify the negatives in my life and minimize them. It took me awhile, but the amount of snark, sarcasm and negativity on this podcast was horribly affecting my mood and mindset. I have since found new positive focused podcasts and it has made a great difference. While the majority of this podcast is not for me, they do provide some good race previews as long as you can filter through the tone and snark.
-
annazelliMost honest Tri podcast out thereYou guys keep it real. I am chuckling every time i turn you guys on, especially right around IMWI. The Facebook group posts have me ripping my hair out and Im glad I can share that humor with you. Thank you for giving me an escape and pulling us back to earth when we need to be put in our place from time to time. Hope to meet one day. Keep the pods coming!
-
jacob*$The most motivating podcastI love the podcast, it helped get me into Triathlon last year! And it has kept me motivated since then. Every episode makes me want to get out and exercise. Thank you guys for such a reliably great show. Only wish to balance out those who say otherwise: please curse more, not less.
-
cwonbeachYou are great!I must have listened to a couple hundred of your podcasts last year while I trained for my fourth IronMan. I would scroll through the list and look for a topic that I felt was important for me during that day’s gym workout or run. You are great motivators and coaches. Don’t stop at 1,000!
-
Abbey P.651 was my favorite so far!You guys are great! I really love listening to your podcast and I love that you take a more reasonable approach to training. I like that you believe in more balance with life and training. You guys are super entertaining. I only have one hope… Is that you guys tidy up the curse words a bit- sometimes my kids walk in when I’m listening to it and I have to be careful lol
-
luvnmy10Finding my why notThis title got my attention because the phrase “remember your why” doesn’t carry as much meaning for me. I am new to the sport, and basically turned to it bc I’m interested in good health, my kids mostly left the nest, but husband not yet retired. I needed a new hobby, and this has been great. I love your podcast, informative, inspiring and fun!
-
JoshluvsbaconWhat about Robbie’s 70.3 in Wisconsin? As an age grouper preparing for the 70.3 in WI, I loved listening to all the lead up podcasts and the 140.6 recap, but I’m still wondering how Robbie’s 70.3 race went??
-
Shmeegan99Great information and love the camaraderie!I have so much to say-but I’ll try to keep it concise! I love that there aren’t ads or sponsors-I appreciate the intro of being thanked for our time! I love that the hosts are athletes, coaches, and live very real lives-it provides a solid, abundant space, for the sharing of knowledge, experience, and wisdom. I love the honesty in their podcasts-such as no sugar-coating doing hard work, or learning how to be prepared for the OWS. Love the variety of topics and such a deep-well of podcasts to choose from, thank you so much!! 🤩🏊♀️🚴🏃🏻♀️
-
Plattk9BalanceGreat podcast. Really enjoy the personal aspect that you guys provide. Balance is hard for many us. Thank you ! Keep up the good work.
-
Shawn_707The Wayne’s World of Triathlon PodcastsAs a life long runner and new to triathlon, I stumbled onto this podcast. Fast forward 2 years and the lessons, advice, and perspective continue to help me balance triathlon with family and work. Now that Mike mentions his mother’s basement on every episode- it’s just a question of who’s Wayne and who’s Garth. Such a great podcast and I continue to look forward to new episodes dropping each week!
-
boydnurseGreat podcast!I’m new to triathlon, or I should say newer. I appreciate this information. I have so many questions regarding this sport, and listening to you guys has made things more tolerable. Keep it up guys and thank you for what you do! THESE ARE MY PEOPLE!!
-
FUFB6812Highly recommendReally enjoy the down to earth perspective on life, triathlons, and everything from Mike and Robbie… don’t overthink, and don’t panic!
-
jassenmHappy and HealthyI like the theme of the podcast being happy and healthy. There is so much more to life than triathlon but triathlon also helps a lot of times. Mike and Robbie understand real life and provide great insights that you can think about and apply while training or racing.
-
TW 2022Best Podcast EverI never listened to a podcast in my entire life and a friend recommended that I give Crushing Iron a listen. I’m so glad I did as Coach Mike and Coach Robbie are amazing! Just a couple of guys who keep it real and talk all things related to life and triathlon. They keep it simple and I love the authenticity! Keep up the great work guys!
-
jess's girlChurch for athletesI was introduced to crushing iron by my friend. I can’t stop listening….well, I do but I come back. And each time I come back, it’s like going to church. Robbie & Mike just happen to hit on a subject I needed to hear at that moment. Kinda love these guys. Keep it up!!
-
TLud40Best podcast for triathletesWhen your friends and family are sick of hearing you talk about triathlon, Mike and Robbie are here for you. They keep it real, they keep it simple, and they keep it fun.
-
chicago runner 2019First Time ListenerI love the advice they give. The take away from the episode I listened to was to keep it simple. That really resonated with me.
-
mkin83A wonderful alternative to other tri podcastsStarted listening a couple of months ago when I began my triathlon journey again after a ten year hiatus. The boys at crushing iron offer amazing perspective, hope, motivation to be the best triathlete and human you can be. Other tri podcasts give you data. Other tri podcasts give you interviews. Other podcasts give you product reviews blah blah blah. There is a time and place for that. Crushing iron helps to give you the tools to navigate life in the context of triathlon. Thank you.
-
Tccoug76Fun, informative and always timelyI truly enjoy listening to this podcast. The hosts give out good advice on all things triathlon interspersed with a healthy dose of real life experience. I like that they don’t throw in a bunch of humble brags about themselves. Their content is accessible to elite and age groupers alike.
-
KMae216Love love loveThe best triathlon podcast out there. Robbie and Mike keep it real. The focus is on life, health and happiness. The nuggets interspersed through every episode are priceless for a fulfilling and successful triathlon journey. As a bonus, they are both funny and entertaining and share honest reflection. I’m a longtime listener and have listened to some of the casts multiple times. I could not love it more.
-
Ken Tri DadBest triathlon podcastLove the guys and their perspective of the sport. My de facto triathlon podcast to listen to.
-
HemeltAlways InterestingCover lots of interesting topics. Love hearing about races that might interest me. I started listening at episode 1 earlier this year. Can’t wait to get caught up to the newer content. Highly recommend this podcast for newer triathletes.
-
AW StaplesFor FREE!?!?!As someone pretty new to the sport, this podcast has been extremely valuable in keeping me from making “rookie” mistakes. Years of Robbie and Mike’s experience packed into easy-to-digest bits. Hard to believe all this information is available for free!
-

jrc5309MotivationThe motivation I needed to refocus my Ironman training. It’s incredible how relatable everything said is.
-
Adam55555Love the podcastGreat to information on Triathlon Love the attitude snd simplified approach My favorite podcast
-
rustypjrBack at itI have dabbled with tri’s here and there over the last 20 years. Back at it again and this help keeps me motivated and learning. Another 70.3 here I come.
-
MelMelanieMelVery motivationalI look forward to my twice a week dose of Robbie and Mike. I am new to triathlon so this has helped me prepare, but their way of approaching the sport can be applied to any sport and athlete. Love the support I get from their words to work towards a healthy, strong life.
-
nicofam5Real TalkI have never met Robbie and Mike, but the way they structure the podcast it feels like hearing from old friends that happen to know all things life, and swim bike run. I laugh, cry, jot down quotes, and share episodes with non runner friends just because I think they would like Robbie or Mike’s perspective. I look forward to long runs with this podcast, and hearing from my “friends.”
-
KleisJBeat podcastThis is one of the best podcasts I listen too...
-
care2112Best tri podcastSomehow these guys find endless ways to discuss and motivate you every single podcast ! Life meets triathlon in a very real down to earth way! Always put it on when I feel like I need to refocus.
-
MikeG344464735 Star Podcast about all things Triathlon & LifeCan’t say enough how helpful this podcast is for both the triathlete and non triathlete. Robbie and Mike provide solid advice on Training, Racing and Life! The most important advice I feel they give is to have fun with what your doing and to treat yourself with kindness. C26 is one big community that is willing to share their experiences with one another in hopes of bettering those around them! Hands down THE BEST Community, Club and Podcast!
-
esptogNot just another triathlon podcastDo Robbie & Mike talk a lot about triathlon? Yes. Racing, training & all the things I didn’t even know were things until starting this sport. What was I thinking?!?! Combine triathlon with life & life stressors & work & kids & jobs & the mortgage & the kitchen sink for Pete’s sake and you’ll come close to hitting this fully comprehensive cast. I stumbled across it & was instantly a fan. So much so that I signed up for coaching. The amount of knowledge & real world, practical information & advice is 2nd to none. As is their approach to everything they do. Thanks guys for putting your “mediocre“ podcast out twice a week. Y’all have helped me TONS!
-
Bluedream60A wonderful listenI really appreciate the sage advice that Robbie and Mike provide. They help keep the sport of triathlon in perspective while also giving sound training thoughts.
-
MeliABC'sListen and re-listenIn addition to being a subscriber of the podcast because I enjoy Robbie and Mike’s dynamic and their approach, I also go back to the episodes that help me get back on track with my training. I promise you’ll find your favorites too!
-
Jax1bebEncouraging CoachesRobbie and Mike are awesome! Real people with real experiences and excellent advice. They do race specific podcasts...so if you want to crush that Ironman given them a listen! I joined the C26 club for 2021. I give them my goals and races and they map out my training for the year!! I started mid Nov 2020 and have already seen huge gains. Looking forward to training in 2021 with them!

Jeff Dunn - Atlanta GA"Don't you be a fly on the wall"Break up the monotony of Endurance training and chime into the C26 Podcast. Lets face the fact no matter how pumped you are about signing up for that big race your non-triathlon/endurance friends and family are clueless and don't give a flying hoot. This podcast is that long lost friend your looking for. In short you get to be "a fly on the wall" sitting in on two buddies discussing their trials and tribulations of their weekly adventures as both coaches and athletes and how this sport intermingles with life (its the Bill & Teds Excellent Adventures of Endurance sports). Your guaranteed to pick up some good nuggets of advice and you will 100% be entertained listening to them. The best part about all of this is that you don't have to continue to be that "fly on the wall" since they have a super welcoming & active facebook group that I recommend you join. Once your hooked you also don't have to wait weeks for another show... they consistently deliver this up twice a week! Great entertaining show delivered by two down to earth hosts who love what they do and who are always willing to share their advice to help you become a better "you".
-
TheRealCookiesA Triathlon Podcast done for Real people by Real peopleI started listening to this podcast a little over 4 months ago and have now listened to well over half of their 443 casts. They don’t beat around the bush or sugar coat anything when they are telling their opinions about a subject. What I like best is that they break the triathlon down into manageable parts so that, if you are willing to do the work, anyone can do it. P.S. You should like dogs if you are going to listen
