I was looking to curate targeted podcast episodes from various sources to share with my leadership team! The Communication Guys not only shareValuable and succinct information but I did it as a teaching podcast because they were constantly making connections and reviewing what they had just talked about...but what was the most impressive was these Guys are the whole enchilada because they provide episode outlines to be viewed and used!!!

As a salesman for 13 yrs in the medical device world, I have come to realize the power and impact that communication has on our lives. As a husband and father of 4 teenage children I also value the ability to communicate and connect with our kids. As I have studied professional coaching and education I now have even more of an appreciation for the skill set of effective communication. The communication guys has been a podcast that I have come to love! I feel like I know these men, though have never met them. I really enjoyed this episode and the golden nuggets that were shared regarding writing techniques and the living in the now to accomplish goals. The hosts are very clear communication guys!

I recently discovered The Communication Guys podcast and it already has become a life-changing resource for my personal and professional growth! I, in fact, can’t wait to drive to work each morning and tune in as it inspires me enormously! Coming from a post-Soviet culture, I carry certain communication beliefs and habits. I used to believe that they way I naturally communicate (straightforward and very result oriented) is the way I am, and this is something that shapes my character. While I viewed it as a strength, many times I found out I’m not as approachable and liked by others. Tim and Dr. Tom has completely changed my view and helped me connect the puzzle and answer the questions I have been struggling with long time. The podcast is my go-to for learning how to connect first, be warm and authentic while not harmful but resourceful and helpful. The best I like about the podcast is that it gives me very specific points on how little things impacts the results. It helps me understand the consequences and at the end I’m more motivated to implement the tactics and strategies.

As a communications director for a statewide public policy organization, I’m often confronted with challenging situations that call for creative solutions. I’ve found countless inspiring ideas from listening to The Communication Guys podcasts. I first enjoyed hearing Tim Downs speak at a conference. Since then, I've been happy to find out that he has a podcast, and I've found all of the episodes I've listened to be really helpful. The Communication Guys “get me” and they speak my language in the realm of all things communication! I truly believe improving my communication skills is a life long practice. Trust me when I say that this is a great podcast to brush up on and polish your skills. I have my Masters in communications and organizational leadership and have had a deep love with learning my whole life. Of course in this day and age with work, family, life, There is an a lot of spare time left in a day. However, I love the way the Communication Guys share clear, concise and effective communication advice in a fun, palpable and entertaining way! As a 19 year old, I believe people of any age could benefit from this podcast. Only 4 episodes in and I am already applying some of the insight Tim Downs and Dr. Tom Barret have provided.

Very rarely do I "podcast binge". This podcast is an exception. Tim Downs and Dr. Tom Barrett take traditional communication topics and put their own twist on them. Always creative and often funny, this has become one of my favorite podcasts. Topics include self-talk, interpersonal and non-verbal communication. Tim and Tom do co-hosting right. I look foraward to this podcast every week.

I presented at a training day with a group of other speakers back in January, and I felt like I needed to improve. Good old monotonous speaker strikes again, zzz.... I found this podcast while preparing to create a Webinar, and I was able to incorporate a number of items into it. The topics are short and well tuned for a drive home and having the ability to get the notes via text later is perfect for my use. Thanks for providing this kind of information to those who can't access/afford coaching. I hope others find it just as useful.

These guys are great individually even better as a one two communication duo. Easy to hear and very applicable. Sound advice but not overly academic though founded on great research in communication

I love listening to these guys. They’re experienced and entertaining to listen to. It’s not completely dry, but not all humor either.

No one has made a bigger impact on my communication skills than Tim Downs. From the first time I heard him, I made it my goal to learn how to communicate like him. Now we can all learn from him by subscribing to his new weekly podcast.

I've been following Tim Downs since Downstown, and have read his book "Finding Common Ground". This is a great podcast subject - communication - that almost anyone can benefit from. Recommended.

The communication guys dont only bring great insight into communication and the why of communication, but also humor. The podcast goes by way too quick. This podcast wont disappoint.

We all communicate on a daily basis but what is being heard by the recipient? I've loved Dr. Barrett's training for over 13 years now and can't wait to learn through this new avenue!

Clearly these "guys" know their stuff when it comes to communication and public speaking. With a wealth of knowledge and experience, as well as entertaining and informative banter, they make communication fun to learn and can make anyone a more effective communicator. I'm very excited about this podcast!

I first met Tim Downs in 1979 and Tom Barrett in 1981. Each of them are skilled and practiced communicators. They know how to do the hard parts, and help you overcome the hurdles necessary for you to present yourself at your best. They've trained hundreds of people to communicate professionally both occupationally and vocationally. They'll help you get to the top of your game and make it look easy.

I've been a fan of Tim Downs since college (30 years ago) when I heard him give an excellent seminar on how to communicate clearly and effectively, so I was thrilled to learn of this new podcast! Both Tim and Tom give very practical information to use in everyday life and what they share will help you grow as a communicator and as a leader.
