Its really irritating to listen to millennial up-speak. They just don't sound sure about ANYTHING. It has the tone of an NPR podcast my wife would listen to.

PTF and Johnathon are nothing but inspirations in the game of handicapping. As I try to make my own impact in the handicapping game this show is so helpful. I wish this podcast was more informative and talked more about the sport. Instead it’s a personality driven rag where the hosts get into bar fights (literally) with other horse players and use this podcast as an unfair platform to trash those that have bested them. The tone of this podcast brings down the sport. Please focus less on your drunken altercations and start paying attention to the track. Honestly, this thing has run its course and jumped the shark a looooong time ago. I look forward to the reformat and new hosts which I’ve heard is coming soon.

Clearly one of the best pods in the horseracing game, which as the title suggests is horseplayer friendly with a great balance of discussion of handicapping strategy, previews and reviews of big stakes weekends, contests and general racing talk. Love the discussion about handicapping strategy which is conducted at a higher level than elsewhere, and the show frequently involves listener questions and input via social media. A must listen to the Friday show on big race weekends.

I have been a regular listener of the podcast for a couple of years now. It is a ‘must listen’ every week, no matter whether or not I am playing. The podcast has a great deal to offer both experienced and newer players (me). Topics covered are wide ranging, from handicapping and contests, bet structure, bankroll management and wagering structure, liberally sprinkled with anecdotes. PFT and JK have great synergy as co-hosts, which makes for fun and insightful analysis. I have learned a ton about handicapping and wagering from these guys. The best DRF handicapping show IMO.

I was lucky enough to have found this informative and entertaining podcast centered around handicapping and horse racing from its beginning. There is always a nugget of handicapping improvement in every show whether it be in reviewing a previous race or predicting an upcoming stakes race. This podcast is great for all ranges of horseplayers from someone going for their first time to grizzled veterans of the tournament world. Excellent hosts and promoters of all things horse racing. Great guests that add helpful information as well. I’ve gone back and listened to some of the episodes more than once because there’s so many nuggets. This podcast will improve your wagering abilities.

Peter and Jonathon, Good day. Just wanted to say thank you for the weekly and very informative podcasts you guys produce. It has certainly impacted my game positively. My wife and I have played for around 3 years and 2016 was our first year with a positive ROI and I can verify that your show contributed to that outcome. It would have been block buster if I had only listened to a few of the podcasts in particular before the races. Jonathan touted these and each would have been a $2k+ Pick 4 that we were targeting. The Players' Podcast is a must listen for me each week. Pete and Jonathon strike a great balance between insight and entertainment with the added bonus of some excellent guest appearances. Listening to the podcast has opened my eyes to the world of handicapping contests and given me a much better understanding of racing in the US. Whether you are looking to improve your handicapping or want to hear an entertaining recap of racing big events each week I would highly recommend the podcast (and I'm not just saying that because I want to win a copy Mike Maloney & Pete's new book!).

A great podcast if you’re into contest and tournament play. JK is a featured handicapper and he shares great stories and insights. PTF has great connections and can bring in high profile guests and often runs webinars prior to major races. They do two shows a week. One before the weekend to preview what’s coming up and a recap afterwards to look back and to discuss other news. I’ve learned a lot listening to the podcast. I don’t do tournament play but the insights are still usable for a weekend warrior like myself!

Great guests! Great handicapping Angles! Love discussion about wagering strategy. A must have podcast in your queue if you’re a horseplayer.

I'm thankful for the DRF Players Podcast this Thanksgiving. Sure, im grateful for my family and whatnot, but they know that. PTF and JK have helped my handicapping, and my bank account. The show is funny, insightful, entertaining, and will take you on a rollercoaster of emotions. Maybe a bit exaggerated, they're just a one-emotion podcast, happiness, but with the right setup, they can get two-emotions. The show is great, and their also always willing to go above and beyond after the show to answer follow up questions. My friends and i have discussed their show at the track, and even listen back right before races to see if we missed anything. Thanks guys, keep up the great work!

I came for insights on the Saratoga meet. I stayed for the lively conversation, thoughtful insight, and often hilarious takes on all things horse racing and beyond. I always enjoy the Friday weekend previews as well as the Tuesday re-caps, even when I don't win all my photos.

I really love this podcast and definitely think they have struck the right balance of fun and handicapping. I personally love all the "degenerate" stories that usually occur after the races and as an equal opportunity drinker, the bar recommendations are very appreciated. My cats don't love hearing Muggs the handicapping labrador, but I do! I feel confident that one day I'll advance from being a pretty crappy handicapper to a one that buys the rounds once in awhile. Cheers!

Pete and JK do an excellent job twice a week. Tuesday, they recap the prior weekend’s races. Friday they preview the upcoming races. Far and away the best horse racing podcast out there. Jonathan Kinchen is one of the best handicappers in the country and aside from providing picks, he answers questions on handicapping and wagering theory. A must listen for any fan of the game.

These guys ROCK. I've picked up SO many GOOD tips on handicapping. In fact, I've won several on-line feeders because of their recommendations. Keep it going guys!

I listen to gear up for big race weekends and for tips on how to put together tickets. First mention of Canterbury Park in the last episode I listened to prompted this five-star review.

This is a great podcast for anyone who is interested in learning how to handicap, following the best races of the week, and keeping up with the industry. Jk is a great host but makes risky picks (high risk high reward), Peter makes you want to hang out at the paddock bar with him. It is twice a week and a necessary follow for anyone who wants to get into racing and know what they are talking about. My only criticism is that they are both very focused on advanced players and concentrate on tournaments, which the average low limit player like myself does not have the bank roll to get into.

I found this podcast when I was just starting to get into horse racing 1 1/2 years ago. The guys do an incredible job of discussing handicapping techniques and breaking down races in a way that's easy for new players to understand, but there's enough advanced level discussion that even seasoned vets will benefit. If nothing else you may get an idea for a new track adult beverage! I now find myself holding my own in handicapping disucssions/debates with 20+ year vets and I owe a good part of that to these guys. Best 2 hours/week you can spend to raise your game.

The Daily Racing Form available on iTunes is very valuable to anyone interested in the sport of horse racing from the beginning handicapper to the industry veteran. I started listening to the DRF Players Podcast shortly after I was introduced to the sport. The podcast is not only helpful in becoming a better handicapper but it is highly entertaining as well. Peter Thomas Fornatale and Jonathon Kinchen are a dynamic duo delivering industry news and handicapping tips while entertaining listeners with their friendly banter. In addition to the DRF Players Podcast, the Daily Racing Form podcast channel offers other great listens such as Out of the Gate offering a preview for weekend warriors and the Matt Bernier Show offering industry news, race recaps and previews, as well as some NFL action from time to time. Anyone interested in the sport of horse racing should subscribe to this channel. You will not be disappointed!

Great balance between previewing/recapping the big races, explaining different angles to handicapping & tournament play, and engaging with listeners on a wide variety of questions - incl wagering strategy and travel tips. Twice a week my commute home is enhanced with Pete's and JK's racing knowledge and the fun they bring to the sport.

Getting into this podcast about a year and a half ago was the single most important factor in me becoming more interested and involved with racing. I now follow racing just as close as other sports like golf and baseball. PTF and JK are awesome, and they do a great job of interacting with their listeners and twitter followers. The show is just so great for people trying to learn more about racing, and people trying to become more informed betters, and just learn more about the entire industry as a whole. As a younger person (25) it is hard to find people who are as interested in the game as I am, and this podcast is a great way to stay informed and keep learning.

DRF is the best feed around for all things handicapping. 3 shows from expert handicappers and horse players in one feed makes getting my plays for the weekend so simple

Love the content of most of the episodes. Listen to many podcasts and this has the worst audio of any by far. Can't understand why Pete and DRF does not address this issue.
