An interesting analysis of 80s Marvel characters through the eyes of hosts who have no idea who any of these people are but have a great time doing it

An original podcast that highlights the absurdity of the Marvel universe through the eyes of everyday people. I never knew characters like Bushmaster or the Blob needed to be reviewed under such parameters, but I’m glad somebody finally did it.

First, this podcast is not for kids. They don’t always work blue, but they somehow manage to be at their most prurient whenever someone else is in my truck to hear it. So it isn’t 100% clean, but it’s hilariously funny and it weirdly makes me feel better about the world. The ladies’ positive outlook, and the way they value things like humility, kindness, and a sense of adventure always encourage me. I genuinely get excited every time I see a new episode has dropped. Siskoid (AKA Mike) is the audience proxy in the room, as long as the audience is composed of middle-aged males who know way too much about eighties superhero comics. So for me, he’s a perfect stand-in. Anyway, 10 out of 10 podcast.

Love to hear each month from siskoid and the ladies (but mostly the ladies) as they examine each character, famous or obscure and pass judgement Will they be Hot like the Armadillo or Not like Angel.

Anytime I'm having a bad day, I can always count on an episode of this podcast to bring a smile to my face. Siskoid and his panel of comedy co-conspirators are clearly having fun critiquing the character designs displayed in the 30-year old Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe (the eponymous OHOTMU). Bravo to all involved for creating such a novel treat.

One of the most enjoyable new podcasts I've stumbled across. The ladies here all seem to be having a ton of fun hanging out together and working their way through the classic Handbook of the Marvel Universe. As someone who grew up pouring over that book it's really awesome to see folks coming in largely from the outside and seeing it for the first time in all it's Marvel coolness, weirdness, hotness, notness, and yes, sometimes, stupidity. Most importantly they all seem to be having a really great time laughing at it all. Highly Recommended.

You think you know the Marvel Universe, well prepare to have it examined in a whole new light as this cast of fun loving ladies with minimal foreknowledge give their thoughts on each character's hotness based only on their entry from the Official Handguide to the Marvel Universe. You'll never look at these characters the same way again.

In a growing field of indexing shows lovingly going over nostalgia laden comic book series such as the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe, oHOTmu OR NOT? is an amazingly entertaining approach to this task. The ladies of the oHOTmu or NOT? Podcast, take playful objectification of the enteries in the Delux Edition Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe in to a comedic treat. I must listen.

Admittedly, I was not familiar with the OHOTMU before listening to this podcast, though I know what most of the character look like. Hearing a fresh, irreverent take on these characters is extremely fun.

Siskoid introduces the Marvel Universe to some female friends through the Official Handbook of the Marvel Universe series. They judge whether they think a certain character is hot or not, and Siskoid is there to sprinkle in facts and answer questions for them, since he has a great acumen concerning comics. This makes for a funny show, and a unique way to approach this series. I look forward to hearing the episodes and their takes on characters I didn't even know existed! This podcast is hilarious! Hearing the ladies opinion on the Marvel Universe entries cracks me up! Their fresh perspective on these long-standing characters is fun and surprising.
