Found this show through another podcast ( Normal World) and haven’t stopped listening since. Entertaining and sincere down to earth takes and conversation about Hollywood and the gaming world. Lots of whining so I don’t have to lol.

Found this show in mid 2023. Love everything about it. There are a few times here and there where I disagree with a view but overall agree with just about everything. The only people giving this a 1 star are easily offended snowflakes that can’t stand hearing the truth about everything from their woke franchises to their woke politics lol. Keep on keeping on!

I really like this channel on YT but the internet that I have prevents me from watching Friday Night Tights and the other long shows through a data cap. But downloading a 4hr audio stream is great! (Please keep up the podcast!!!) This is one of the few places where I can find people who think about the entertainment they consume and are not afraid of speaking their minds about it. And they have a fun theme song.

Guys, you’re my rebound. Just had a messy breakup with “The Weekly Planet” which is also a comic book movie podcast/YouTube channel. They were great, but just started getting to political in the woke sense after 2020.I finally told them “it’s not me it’s you” and unsubscribed. You guys really are great. Sometimes I think you guys try to hard to be offensive, but that’s way better than being preached to and slapped in the face by the woke alternatives.

Don’t always agree with some the political things dropped but at least Gary is articulate. I appreciate his views to contrast with.

I so appreciate hearing a voice representing what the majority of fans are saying and have been saying for a few years now, Hollywood’s blatant attempts at pandering to the “woke” is ruining franchises and destroying an entire generation of content. I also particularly love his commentary on GRRM and the seven developmental hells Winds of Winter must be stuck in. My only complaint is that I personally didn't hate Game of Thrones season 8 and im very excited about House of the Dragon, so it can be a little exhausting to always have to hear a lot of negativity about that specific topic.

He gets it all wrong

Imagine hearing the truth from a real person about fake stuff. Almost the opposite of all the other ( Voldemort) shhhh don’t say its name. “We love you sooooo much lol.

If this guy could separate his self-congratulatory stories and the questionable political perspectives from his solid updates, interesting rumors, and insightful analysis on movies, tv series, etc - we’d have an excellent show. As it is, sadly, this is a little neckbeardy for me. I’m with him 100% on his critiques (even when they veer into politics themselves) of major shows, but I can’t stomach the rest. Good luck to him - lot of potential here, if he can tailor it a bit.

Gary brings humor and insight to all topics in his domain. Great depth and breadth of knowledge, incisive commentary, but never mean-spirited. A joy to listen.

Gary keeps spouting political gibberish and seems to get easily triggered over seemingly innocuous things. I listened to two episodes and couldn’t listen anymore. I thought dems were supposed to be the triggered snowflakes. I’m a libertarian, and even I got sick of listening to this guy. Gary, please stop politicizing these shows and just watch them. Maybe you’d enjoy them more if you did.

We get it pal, the world changing is hard for you. Seems like a decent host but I don’t need to hear how scared he is that everyone in the world is trying to get a fair shake and that scares him. Moving on...

Couldn’t make it more than five minutes in without hearing alt right dog whistles and complaints about #metoo, identity politics, and ‘pretentious San Francisco audiences’. Kind of a bummer because the host seemed well spoken and informed on the content, but I can’t handle all the whining about diversity.

Really like the content coverage of this cast. I could not agree more with their opinion on the venture bros and the expanse. The main host tends to be overly political in a way that grabs my goose (the “complain that everyone is sooo political as lead-in to give your own opinion on things”) and whines a bunch about pc stuff and the spooky evils of government. I suppose it’s maybe more for a gamer gate type audience. Kinda sad, but again, I really like the venture bros, and life is compromise.
