Travis winsBlatant rip-off of The Horror VirginIt’s clear they stole the idea and tried to make it take off. Thank god it didn’t. The Horror virgin is superior to this piece of trash. Gimlet do your self a favor and pull this cringe.
-
brainslikepicklesPlease reanimate this showBut leave Gimlet and don’t invite anyone else from Reply All.
-
Timmy5680Self indulgentThis makes no sense. There is little discussion of the movies. The premise feels fake and the discussion bears that feeling out time and time again. I couldn’t even finish the second episode. It was them just having a conversation about their own lives —- who gives a shot?
-
kenziekittennSeason Two!I’m on episode three and already know I need a second season. Hush, The Strangers, The Ritual; a terror season! Huge props to PJ for being terrified on behalf of all us scaredy cats. I enjoy scary movies now (hands over eyes when needed) but it took about a decade to get here.
-
ayalaalLOVE! LOVE!Loved this show! Huge fan of horror flicks and also a huge fan of PJ and Alex from Reply All. This was the perfect combination please please do more episodes, there are SO many more films to review!
-
amillionrachelsSmart, and such a treat! One of the things I like best about Reply All is Alex and PJ’s rapport. In Reply All, the banter never overshadows the top notch reporting, but their charming relationship takes center stage in this podcast. I just loved this. I’d love to see more side projects like this.
-
RedmeemitLoved it, PLEASE DO MOREI died laughing, and loved the breakdowns of the movies. Seriously I just love anything these two guys do, but this is such a fun concept! I had the same experience with horror movies that Alex is hoping for PJ to have, I hated them and then just jumped in and now I’m obsessed. I would recommend that they watch Haunting in Connecticut, that was the one that got me started. <3
-
sluckinaFunSo fun to listen to! Love the hosts from Reply All, was really excited to listen to this side project of theirs. It was way worth it! I hope they do more!
-
Carrie KrogerMore SCHS!Fantastic guests, thoughtful commentaries, funny and personal moments, great horror film selection. We want another season!
-
craigb0bins0nLoving itI don’t even watch horror movies or care much about them but this is good listenin’
-
FohnzieWhat a gem!PJ & Alex are great! Wonderful spooky movie selection and I love the way they walk you through each movie. If you like this you’ll love reply all.
-
lab1234567890Come back!!!!Please, please make another season!!!!!!
-
pbmckinney22AfterMake another season or a spin-off off some sort
-
SquirrelGirl85Loved it, even as a Scaredy Cat!Alex and PJ obviously have a great rapport and chemistry, so the conversation is really enjoyable. The fun, though, is the journey and getting to explore what is scary about horror movies. As someone who avoids horror, in large part because the thought of being scared is, indeed, scary, I also now feel like giving some scary movies a shot! The guests were great and, while I understand that it takes a lot of time, I wish that they could keep going with the episodes!
-
TRam0828A fellow scaredy catPlease have a season 2!
-
Amy5626So good!Bring it back!!
-
shhcharliLove these guysPlease keep making these! Or other spin-offs!
-
StripedPaisleyPLEASE record a few episodes for October!I get that making this podcast a regular thing is a huge asking, since you’ve a full plate with Reply All, but please consider bringing back the trio from the Get Out episode and putting together a few episodes for this coming spooky season!
-
ms.picaraCan’t get enoughMore please.
-
Nicpartyof6Yessssssss!I am absolutely terrified of horror movies and can barely get through an ADT commercial without fumbling for the remote. However, I love true crime and documentaries!! I can watch the real stuff all day! I don’t do well with suspense. I love when someone tells me every detail of a horror movie and often read spoilers of popular movies, but I can’t sit through them. This is the most perfect podcast for me! Thank you!!!!!
-
Strspiral🙌🏻Make another season! Such interesting conversations around, not just horror but the societal, psychological impact of art and film.
-
SCARLETB74Get deep w/ PJ and AlexI hate horror movies, so when this popped up I didn’t intend to check it out. Then the first episode auto played and I heard Jason Mantzoukas who I adore. And then I listened to the first 4 all at once and realized that I was getting to know PJ and Alex in a completely different way than from Reply All. This went from a podcast I did t think I’d like to one of my favorites in 5 hours.
-
Jamesk0203From a fellow Scaredy CatThe perfect podcast for someone (like me) who grew up not liking scary movies. The hosts and guests treat these movies as pieces of art rather than just sole-entertainment. Love the fun atmosphere and new insights.
-
deadtravelerGood stuff.I love podcasts like this. If I can do a few movie recommendations: it follows, the shining, the howling and event horizon always gave me chills growing up.
-
sunshineroxy19PJ and Alex are the best!I love PJ and Alex so will listen to anything they do! Reply all is my all time favorite podcast but was excited when they did this. This podcast did not disappoint and was interesting to listen to.

TobmagsI Liked this, but it seemed limitedI remember when The Exorcist first came out and people were really freaking out. I read the book first, started it in the evening and finished it in the wee hours of the morning because I HAD to make sure it turned out okay. I thought the movie was a sequence of cheap thrills because my imagination was much richer than special effects at the time. In contrast, my boyfriend had nightmares for months. Slasher movies aren’t really horror because you need to have a psychological component to make it really scary. Killing teenagers in a predictable way isn’t terribly scary. I prefer movies that are build with tension while at the end you realize how creepy/scary they are. I would love to see you review Don’t Look now and even The Possession of Joel Delaney. Real horror requires that the horror clings to the crevices of your brain....

SwanyprincessI’m a fellow scaredy cat and I love this showThis is typically not the style of podcast I listen to, nor do leave a written reviews. This podcast broke all my rules and is the exception. I loved the in-depth analysis that was provided as well as group therapy type discussions between the hosts and their guest. The cinematic and literary appreciation of the movies prevails as the overall theme. It's a simply brilliant talk show style podcast that is deep and perfectly witty. Could not stop listening, perfect binge! Cannot wait for season 2!!!
-
ThatGabiGirlLoved but disappointedThis was a great podcast. I loved the format and the guest they bring in. I really want to give it 5 stars but I can’t because it was too short. They made it seem like they were going to go through all of these movies but they only did 5. I honestly feel cheated by that. Good podcast just incredibly short
-
SoCalGoodmanI can’t believe it’s already over! This was such a great show but sad it’s over already! There is so much more they can explore but I do understand that they have another pod and this was just a little side project. Hopefully it returns.
-
JessiRene77Love this Freaky Show!I am NOT into the horror genre at all. My husband claims that he hasn’t watched horror movies since being the 12 years with me. I’ve been following along. I’m behind but this will give me a start. Thank you.
-
musictomymadness!!Great but too short!Shame on this show for giving me the podcast horror content I CRAVE and then snatching it away! As a former scaredy cat, current horror lover, this podcast was like listening to my young self in conversation with my current self while some really knowledgeable and interesting guests stood by. Listened to the whole thing in one night. According to the last episode, there were more episodes planned, so there had BETTER be a season 2!
-
shitsdeadbrahWaiting for more episodes!!I know there is a lot of horror review content out of there, but this show is doing it in a way that feels fresh. I like that there is a host who is enjoying movies again that I can empathize with over being a horror buff. But it’s even more fun to get to hear a first time experience of someone who’s more of a chicken than I am. Please please make another season.
-
LokiSnapeWhovian🙀🙀👻👻I used to be a horror movie fan but the more realistic they became the less I enjoyed them. I found safety in the movies of old. Anything from the 80’s and older I enjoy. I am a classic horror fan but I enjoy the modern ones occasionally. This podcast has been a great way to get the details on movies I may not have seen.
-
paVEme/ntThe concept was better than the executionLike all their shows, some episodes are great some are okay.
-
BrickmasterJ07Great PodcastLove horror movies and this podcast helped me get over some of my fears
-
Care_BehrRevist some horror moviesI have really been enjoying this show. I am so tired of hearing about Trump and Covid 19. It is exactly the kind of fun escape I am looking for. I have listened to some of the episodes twice. I hope they decide to keep going.
-
AgnesofagnesTaught me to appreciate horror moviesI too was too chicken to watch most horror movies but thanks to this I watched Midsommar (which was sort of terrible) and Get Out (which was amazing). Made the movies so much better to then listen to their analysis. I want to hear them do The Ring and Blair Witch.
-
HipHipHooray for Katrina!Super entertaining podcast for fans and scaredy catsReally enjoy this podcast even though I’m a scaredy cat. Surprisingly poignant and tender sometimes.
-
Liz WildNeed more PJ/Alex contentPlease more episodes!! During this time of quarantine, it is nice to have friends (via podcast) around. I’m even thinking of relistening to this from the beginning. Brings so many of my favorite things together: PJ, Alex, a lovely guest co-Host, thoughtful and interesting analysis of a specific subject, so many lovable moments that make me LOL. And I’m also a Scaredy cat so I appreciate that someone finally told me how Midsommar ends...
-
VerytemptedtodeletePlease do more episodes!!!I absolutely loved this series! I am like PJ, a total scaredy cat who avoids horror movies, but I love movie analysis. The way you guys broke down these movies and talked about things that happened during filming or fun facts like that scene in the Exorcist being shown to med students made me legitimately want to watch these films! I feel terrified just listening to their descriptions, but I’m going to do it. Please please please continue this series!!
-
Shelbs84Please more!!!!You guys are the best and you got my husband to watch scary movies!! Don’t stop now. There’s so much more to uncover.
-
SleepyLaBRightScardy 4 ScardyI’ve been a fan and listener to reply all, but this came our and love it EVEN MORE than reply all! Using movies as a way to analyze psychology and society. It takes the same humanistic view of the world, but engages so much more deeply with emotion, art and culture.i really hope there’s a way to do more of these even if it means fewer Reply All episodes! As a scardy cat myself, this has allowed me to think about - and sometimes even watch - horror and think about it in our culture. Great job guys! Great guests!!! Hope you can keep it going!!!
-
hermexPlease, moreThis is my dream show. I love the curious chemistry of Alex and PJ from Reply All. Here watching great horror movies with excellent guests. I especially enjoyed The Exorcist and The Nightmare on Elm Street episodes. Hoping for more.
-
CFSpeedMore! Please don’t let this be the LAST episode!!!
-
stylistwitchTruly great showI thoroughly enjoyed this podcast! Thoughtful and interesting discussions about horror movies and the difficult emotions they bring up, every episode is a delight. I would love to listen to a season 2!
-
Spaz_DogSecond Season -Prepping for USPersonally, I think that some of the films in this series were scarier than Get Out. As a fellow Scaredy Cat, I had little anxiety seeing Get Out. US was a different story. I was sitting in the seat at the theater with my popcorn and soda and started to have a panic attack. I almost left. I’m glad I didn’t. I’m hoping you bring this back for a second season.
-
ChrealePlease come back for a season 2!The first season was so thrilling, I was beyond bummed to find out it was a limited series.
-
theaudballA public service to scaredy cats everywhereThis show helped me face my fear of fear! I love the erudite discussions of the films and would love if y’all continued the show or at least released a list of must see horror movies!
-
leungevityI love this podcast almost as much as reply allI wish this was longer than 5 episodes, and I get why it can’t be, but it was such a joy to listen to PJ’s journey! I hope that surprise episodes pop up here and there when time allows :)
