Washupppp1425377782535Can’t wait to hear what you do next!I was hesitant to listen to JW interview bc apparently, years after leaving, I still feel so protective of my ex religion and my family members still there. (Ex JWs know what I refer to as ‘apostasy’). I worked myself up to it and on the way related to you and so many of your guests, After years of being told we were SO different from the rest, I realized it’s the same load of crap in different covers. This has been an incredible help to me and so many others (maybe that’s why Rainn’s price is so high lol).

Dr. SurferSad to hear it go!I am an active religious person and it brings me happiness. Through PREACH I see differences and similarities and helps me understand why others struggle with religion. I can see it’s not one size fits all. I hear in the interviews the same questions I have always wanted to know. Good luck in D.C!

NoViewAvenueThank youMy favorite podcast, you will be missed! I am an atheist with a deep interest in spirituality. This show is wonderful.

Trail lustSad to say bye!I came across this show looking for something new to listen to. I listen to a vast array of different podcasts about all faiths, and I read a lot about the three abrahamic Faith traditions and the impact, positive or negative has impacted our lives. Raised catholic, I drifted away of this tradition not being able to rationalize the doctrine and stories in the Bible. It’s taken years of studying and understanding that there is a god without religion. This show was an interesting reflection of spiritual growth in different faith traditions, and Lee is a great interviewer. Sad to say bye. P.S. the car salesmen was one of the best!
-
PookyOtisRelevant and validatingI love Preach podcasts. I feel a real connection to Lee. We have many of the same struggles with a shared Mormon background. His guests are interesting and I take away so much good and encouraging from them. I look forward to listening and learning.

Jasmine674Amanda Yates Garcia & mental healthI am SO grateful for this podcast. I’ve been moving through my own journey of self discovery and the pains and joys that come with that. I’ve been feeling hollow and today I listened to the Amanda Yates Garcia episode. THANK YOU LEE. THANK YOU AMANDA. THANK YOU KUER. ✨✨✨✨✨

N8h20Interesting, empowering.Heard about this from a family member and was a little intimidated because I was worried my own faith (which is a bit weak at the moment) would be stretched thin. Quite the opposite. If anything my faith has grown while listening. Lee does a fantastic job. Keep up the great work
-
The Rain DogIt's a great listenI really appreciate Lee Hale's approach in the interviews. I love listening to people open up about who they are and what they think of life's big questions. It's much appreciated that there's a space for these conversations to happen. I hope it's around for a long time.

Super Mom!TeriI’m so thankful for this podcast. I’ve spent my career developing interfaith initiatives to support people living in marginalized population groups and I appreciate your exploration of faith, spirituality, religion, and the impact they have on your guests and our society.

Unhappy Face!Refreshing!Found this by a shout-out on my main podcast Holy Post. Thanks, Phil! I like the authentic conversations, no, I love them.
-
deebkoycGreat podcast! What an interesting and wonderful podcast. In an effort to not sound so Mormon “it soothes my soul”😂 Listen here to learn more about different religions without any bashing or ugliness. I am loving the perspectives everyone is sharing on their religions because let’s be real, nothing is perfect. Thanks for sharing the messiness of religion respectfully.
-
YaelpedrozaWhere’s PreachI’m a non religious person raised by a Jewish father and Catholic mother, and I really really enjoy listening to your podcast.

LilyReadsExcellentI heard about this podcast while listening to an interview on NPR with Ailsa Chang and Lee Hale. While I only caught about half of the interview, what I heard intrigued me, especially since I have been grappling with some similar themes. I grew up and worked in conservative, independent fundamental Baptist circles, only leaving that environment a few months ago. This podcast does an excellent job asking and answering questions while remaining respectful and informative. This podcast is like therapy. It’s just what I’ve needed.
-
Brooke, SLCCan’t Stop ListeningI love the tone of this podcast! Lee’s genuine curiosity and interest in his guests along with being willing to share his own vulnerability and experience makes this a unique listening experience. I have loved every single episode!

MissyGomez 345ApostolicHeard about the show on NPR and really connected to Lee’s experience. I matured in the Apostolic faith and went through the same thing with the same struggles. Very helpful and just wanted to say thanks.
-
Brad-O-LeyGood perspective.Lee does a great job with this podcast without interjecting the issues that have taken him away from his faith. His interviews are open and honest and refreshing. Thanks for bringing unbiased religious conversation to the podcast world!
-
LotsaPodsLove thisThis is such an honest and searching podcast (and I too listen to a great many). Compelling, honest, real. Thank you
-
Rosemary39PreachFascinating-don’t miss it! So sad season one is over already.

Sip Sip!AmazingThis is my new favorite podcast, and that’s saying a lot because I listen to a distressing number of podcasts. :-)
-
Cody1kenobiCan’t wait for season 2I have really enjoyed the open, frank, genuine, and kind conversation of this podcast.
-
no282Please make more episodes!Sometimes, in the dark of the night, I can’t stop thinking about what comes AFTER. In my moments of panic, I find this podcast more soothing than anything else out there. It takes the hardest conversation and makes it digestible. Rather than seeking a final answer, it explores the questions and doubts that even the most devout of us have, and there is great comfort in it for me. I hope they make more episodes soon!
-
RCH4452This is my new favorite podcastSometimes, when talking about faith, it seems like you have to make a choice: be honest, or be kind. Preach shows us how easy it can be to be both at the same time, even when discussing the big questions with someone who has a different perspective. These interviews are frank and funny, thoughtful and deeply empathetic. I don’t think I even realized how much I was craving conversations like this until I started listening. To Lee Hale and the rest of the production team: great job. Thanks so much for making this show. Season one just barely ended and I’m already missing hearing from you.
-
SPT thoughtsSo interesting, so much to learnUsually people are "schooled" in the religion of their family and don't have ANY knowledge of other religions/faiths. I have tried to open my understanding and this does it! I have enjoyed hearing about people's experiences with faith and their journey as they keep learning. I think faith is an evolving thing, and you aren't always in the same spot with your own. Hearing more on a "personal" level about why and why not people make decisions along their path is very interesting. Fav episode- thus far- was hearing Peter ask you about your Mormon experiences. I know little to nothing about that religion, so it was really, really interesting to me! Looking forward to hearing many more points of view and continuing to LEARN! Thanks for the content and creating this podcast!
-
"B" (only)PreachJust discovered Lee Hale’s podcast. (Three listened to, the rest to come.) I feel added upon as a person; more a part of the human family as I experience these interviews. I will savor them and allow myself only one per day, and then ponder on what I’ve heard.
-
MrsTK22Really in depth diverse perspectives!I love this podcast, I am an Orthodox Christian woman in a family full of non denominational Christians. This podcast connects so many faiths and spiritual beliefs I find it comforting that we are all unique.
-
steph listensHope Season 2 comes soon! It’s been refreshing for me to hear others ask hard questions of the faith they were raised in yet not disparage that faith completely. It is such a privilege to hear guests share their intimate faith journeys on each episode.
-
CerebralClimeThere’s nothing I don’t love! What a great contribution to conversations about faiths of all sorts!
-
Teddy's friendPreachWonderful podcast in every way! I always learn something and look forward to each new episode. I was genuinely sad to hear this week’s was the last of season 1. Already looking forward to the next season.
-
gdubs007Thank you! It’s tough to find honest, non-judgmental conversations about faith. Lee Hale and his guests are a breath of fresh air in the messy spiritual world many of us find ourselves in daily. Regardless of your spiritual background or religious beliefs, this is an open and welcoming podcast. Thank you, Lee & team. I cannot wait for season 2!
-
AdozenrosebudsEverything that is on my mind nowLove listening to these conversations. So curious about how we piece together our beliefs.
-
Dat guy 12389098321An honest and diverse spiritual conversationI absolutely love this podcast! I love the honest conversations and varying perspectives that are brought to the table. Thank you for making this conversational space, I really feel comforted in my own spiritual journey. I can't wait to see what is in store, please keep making your wonderful show!
-
unclewayneOne of the best podcasts, on any topicLee Hale is the man. Great interviewer, great sensitivity to topics. Can’t wait for the next season.
-
MedievalmaveBoosts me up.I’m going through a faith crisis myself and this podcast helps. I also love learning about other religions and hearing from people about their faith.

SearchingForHildegardA Beautiful Exploration of SpiritualityThis is my new favorite podcast! I love listening to Lee and his guest explore Spirituality, whether that experience comes from running, making children's television, or formalized religion. I love that Lee makes space for everyone's own experiences and shines a light on the beauty of an individual or a community's search for depth and meaning in life. Thank you for this!
-
AlwaysSeekingGodAlways seeking ... GodThank you so much for holding this space for us seekers of truth... I believe one Divine Truth many paths. I don’t always have the vocabulary for what I am feeling concerning faith, this podcast is helping. One of your podcasts touched me so much.. I found myself hiking and quietly sobbing. Each podcast I find myself closer to something... something awesome! My soul thanks you and all your guests!
-
LindaT319Honest and inspiringI’m a sucker for honest and vulnerable conversations, from all types of people in all walks of life, and this podcast provides both. Great job!
-
dillonsmith12Great Conversations About Life and Its Complicated ChoicesLee is the perfect host for this podcast, and I relate to him and the guests well. Faith is a fascinating thing to consider, especially when it merges with cultural norms and religious dogmas. This podcast is judgement free and allows listeners from any background to consider their faith or religious roots in a refreshing way. Each episode is outstanding and gives light on the beauty from all sectors of faith.
-
Easton HillBeacon of hope to those who question!Coming from the Mormon community, I appreciate the perspectives, the dialogue, and the stories that are shared here! This podcast does a lot to help normalize the experience of changing faith and belief. Keep up the good work!
-
Social UpheavalAddictive and inspiringI am obsessed. Existential questions through deep, human experience. I too abandoned religious practice and found my way home to Judaism. I am nourished by all of the episodes in this feed. This podcast is also teaching me why stories are essential & reminding me to let go of living solely within ideas.
-
RosyF50So SatisfyingAs someone who fully embraces that my spirituality IS questioning, this is a breath of fresh air. The host actually lets his guests talk without interrupting. He’s authentic and asks interesting questions. It’s fascinating to me that the inspiration for this is a “crisis of faith,” and yet the episodes go deeper than almost any other spiritual show. Questioning isn’t a crisis! It’s how we evolve, on every level. The only thing I would change is to make the episodes longer, not to go deeper, but to look at different aspects. But I’m so grateful you’re taking the time to make this!
-
ErrinCJNeed more of this in the worldI thought I was alone when it came to moving to Utah and then disliking my religion after that. My crisis of faith turned me to an in depth study of theology. I was taught at a Jesuit university, grew up in a Jewish community, and my family calls me “the Mormon Jewish catholic nun.” Basically this podcast is what I have been looking for. The idea that we can look and coexist with other religions and find that commonality. Lee Hale puts his crisis of faith out there with calming interviews. There is no arguing but rather a refreshing exchange of views. There is no attempt to sway you one way or another. I never miss an episode and they can not make them fast enough for me.
-
revbickGood conversationsAs a person of faith I really wish for opportunities like this podcast to hear others struggle with issues of faith in their lives. Thanks for opening this piece of the human experience to view!
-
BrennentyExcellent! As a member of the LDS church I was worried that this would be another podcast bashing on it. I was pleasantly surprised to find it to be quite the opposite. In every episode Lee Hale does a fantastic job of finding similarities and meaning in everyone’s journey to find faith. I have had a number of moments that have hit me on a spiritual level and I am a better person because of this show! Please keep it up!
